Pivotal seats can only be used with pivotal seatposts.
What are pivotal seats?
Pivotal seats and seatposts are newer standard on BMX bikes in recent years, the seatpost and seat are held together with only a single bolt design, the bolt is attached inside the seat and it can be reached from the top of the seat. They have semicircles of ridges that match together at different angles for allowing riders to adjust their seats at the right angle.
What are the advantages of pivotal seats?
They are easier to adjust, with only a single bolt design, it can be adjusted within a minute. First, insert a 6mm hex wrench into the hole, loose the bolt inside the seat, adjust seat angle and then tighten back down.
