biblaridion spawned an entire genre and im loving it
I love it too!
He used the same start and at first I thought it was a 8bit version
The genres called speculative evolution, biblaridion just made it more popular.
He absolutely did not. He just popularized it. Spec evo has been around for much longer and there are projects out there that are hundreds of times more in depth.
Biblaridion inspired me to evolve my own Alien world
well it is official, this is now a new kind of genre and I am happy for that.
It has differentiated enough from the speculative evolution it evolved in to become its own genre, just as you said. I have a name for it: Alien Biohistory.
I think it's been a genre for awhile, it's just that it was only presented on DeviantArt accounts and personal webpages, blogs etc. Branching out into video is awesome - often encyclopedic websites organized by clade were quite hard to look at.
@@thomasjohnston6998 Wow! Great name!
This art style makes me imagine I'm about to start a 90's point and click adventure game, and I love every second.
Hi, glad to see new spec evo projects arising! Good luck!
thank you!
@@TheBrotherhoodofCadendale why isn't the discord server look like?

Another to add to my growing list of these projects. Look forward to seeing the life of Miira evolve. Your pixel-art style looks really good, and you move at a good pace with the evolutions to creatures. And I'm curious to see how the 'plants' evolve too.
Edit: I went and watched the videos of your previous attempt at worldbuilding. After seeing the details I'm now very interested in what you have in store for the creatures of Miira.
thank you so much! i can't wait to share the next episode 😁
@@TheBrotherhoodofCadendale exited for it :)
Can you please share your spec evo playlist?
@@schizophrenic_rambler I don't have a specific playlist, but I follow this, Project Rose and Rubiea Project.
@@alexanderlambert295 thanks. th-cam.com/play/PLci5SnwDiPdq5f1kAOi12rISI78iMPdS_.html have this link in return
Very nice art style! It's unusual to see spec evo artists use pixel art, it's a very refreshing change of pace!
Same.
prolly cuz its not realistic, but yeah, its a new change of pace
I've only seen the thumbnail and I'm already loving it!
aaahhhh tysm 😁
@@TheBrotherhoodofCadendale you're welcome
the upside down furry jellyfish and the sea centipede, the pair as old as time
Wow this is really cool out of all the spec projects I've seen pop up over the past few months of yours is the most unique. One thing I would suggest though is to divert from how bib does his project and let the animals evolved on their own what would make the most sense for them and also to make organisms evolve into more branching paths instead of straight lines from one organism to the other
Pixel art? Sign me UP yes please. This is going to be amazing!
I'm a fan of speculative evolution; I'll be watching this channel for more content!
Thank you so much for 1k subs! To celebrate, I'm doing a Q&A. Ask me anything, and I'll answer in a video!
Will you make more landmasses than just those three continents? Like volcanic island chains?
i am so used to seeing crude 3d models in this genre of video. it is so nice to see something unique for once
Man this is good shit! I especially like the way you justify and explain the reasons certain things evolve (and the artstyle's top notch)
Can't wait to see where this series goes :)
thank you so much!
Man ever since alien biospheres came out every second were having a new bio project. I already have my sights on project methania. But the rest are also worth watching
Probably one of the best recommendations from the YT algorithm, liking it so far!
looks pretty cool. the art is pretty nice as well. cant wait to see more.
This is seriously high quality, I'm subscribed now, and have notifications turned on
Never thought that pixel art was so good
I think I noticed a minor artistic mistake. When we see Miira from space, it is shown with green continents like earth, but since Miiran plants are blue, they should be, well, blue.
thank you for pointing that out!
@@TheBrotherhoodofCadendale Your welcome.
You just earned another subscriber. Already love this worldbuilding project. The pixelated art style looks cool and refreshing. Keep up the great work!
I LOVE how Biblaridion's series has kickstarted a whole bunch of other speculative xenobiology series. I don't think they're copying anything; they're clearly inspired by the original, yes, but they're all so unique and interesting and fascinating! I love the genre and will definitely be subscribing and looking forward to the coming videos.
I love your art style! The animals look so cool!
they're aliens so they're called animaloids :)
@@medranosiblings Cool, I did not know that!
@@tigereyeinc.718 you're welcome!
In my headcanon, this planet is called "Snes", its moon "Atari" and the star "Amiga".
Wow I really like this, and the pictures you drew and creatures. Great job!
Ayy, starting over? Now the album name makes sense haha
ye, it had been too long since i worked on the last one, so i opted to start fresh lolol
@@TheBrotherhoodofCadendale Good call, I get how hard it is to come back to a project after what, a year now? Jeez!
I really liked the pixel art in this video by the way, I don't think I'd seen this particular style in another speculative zoology series.
yes, it's been quite a while 😅
thank you! i wasn't sure if people would like the pixel art, but im a lot more confident with that art style
I love pixel art and speculative biology!!! nice wooork!!
Beautiful art and another spec evo will always be welcome
Already love this project. I know everyone else has already pointed this out but what the heck; pixel art is severely underrated and it gives your project a great style. Keep up the great work!
Honestly I would add on to that through the formation of Islands. As well as fracturing the continents more
I like your art style, looking forward to seeing more.
As someone named Mira, it was weird hearing my name this entire video lol
ohno
Yeeiii, another speculative evolution series. Love the art style!
The more of these projects exist, the less time I have to wait for a new spec evo video. Thank you for existing
Boy oh boy do i love this kind of projects, keep up the good work!!!
Decided to check this old project out again, and man I am just blown away by how amazing it is! Really outta rewatch

Can you fr read me a book every night cause that narrator voice is *mwah* amazing. ❤
Great job love!
I hope this series continues :) really like the simplicity of your pixel art style
Woo, now I have stuff to watch in between bibiloarian uploads, excited to see what happens
Nice Job. This should have far more views, period.
Bro your back this is amazing I've been waiting
I saw that you have been on youtube for along time and made tons of videos so I'll support you (not money) I'll just like all your video's and i hope you turn this into a series
YES! THIS IS SO COOL! ALSO, DESTROYER TRILOBITES! AND THE JELLY SQUID! THIS STUFF RULES!
Good to see another TH-cam based SpecEvo pop up. Can't wait to see how it evolves!
this is amazing! love the pixel art style!
Awesome project :o !
This is so incredibly charming
Oh i love this! Pixelated too! Nice touch! I got some moon names. Ramu, Bendor, Calid, and Veiros. Cant wait for next episode. Im allready planning my own series like this. But i will have 2 stars, and a planet with 2 smaller moons too.
Love the pixelated art style; very innovative!
You seem to have skipped the Skavobrachyds, I really wanna hear more about them!
At first you had my curiosity now you have my attention
Yes! It is back! Continue, please
Love the dankanabtacids 💕
I absolutely love this artstyle.
Omg THE PIXEL ART IS SO GOOD AAAA
CREATIVE JUICE TIME
Great to find a new and uniquely styled spec-evo project! I'm liking the attention paid to the evolutions of the reproductive strategies. However, when the secnod music track kiced in with the piano, I immediately sung "TURN AROUND every now and then I get a little bit lonely an-" but then realised I had missed how grigorazalia evolved gametes, haha.
I wonder what this will become one day. I'd love to play a video game in this spec world!
Gosh this is so cool!!
This inspires me to make my own stuff like this
Congrats on obtaining a new subscribers!!😀
Please continue this!!!! This is amazing
This gives me strong E.V.O.: Search for Eden vibes
I always love projects like these
ok I like the unique art style but mind you know let us see the intelligent life progreesss in civilization
It will take a looong time.
@@Littlekoji-df1cf YEAH will no one else had done that yet
Can't wait to see how this goes!
I'm honestly curious as to why almost all of these spec-evo projects start with a non-through gut octopus with hairy tentacles which usually resort to neoteny.
No wait, did you start with the two animal bodyplants from biblaridion's channel? even the names are similar.
they're fairly easy to work with. when i start my next spec evo on Miira's sister planet, i'll have had more experience and will likely come up with something better/more unique :)
not gonna lie, i LOVE all the speculative xenobiology "projects" that have come out the past few years! Though I have a small concern. Wouldn't the 0.19 AU difference between the 2 habitable planets mess with Tidal Forces and the orbits of the 3 moons present? I feel like only bad things would come from that
im not sure, i'll have to do some more research!
@@TheBrotherhoodofCadendale i've been wanting to do a project like this as well, using Artifexian and Biblaridion as guides. But I've been afraid of using multiple moons for terrestrial worlds and copying them too closely
@@nyxborne1786 there's definitely a delicate balance between inspiration and just straight copying! but as long as you're inspired, you should be fine. i would definitely recommend going for it, even if it's just for yourself!
I love the pixel art style
Interestong a new biosphere interesting were you inspired by biblaridion?
The pixelart style i enjoy by the way
i was inspired by biblaridion, yes 😁
@@TheBrotherhoodofCadendale of course. I think he did many spec projects.
I would love to make my own.
Interesting, another spec evo project!
Spec evo has been really popular lately! Definitely not complaining, though
I want to hold the dankanabrachyd in my hand he looks like a lovely fellow
ooh, I love speculative biology
Good work
I would suggest making the tectonic platet thing longer to better fit the time
Very nicely done and very unique art
new worlds of life and science
7:10 there is no predator for them big enough to eat them. That's why there is no need to evolve a shell. Specially with that high size.
that's valid. an oversight on my part, for sure
what if there is in ep 2
"Local hours" isn't a valid metric. The length of an hour is entirely arbitrary. We on Earth could have just as easily divided the day into sixty hours of twenty-four minutes each (as one culture did), or into ten "blands" each subdivided into ten "gunfs" and further into ten "bawfs," and further still into ten "voons," or even just stuck with timeframes like "a bit after noon-ish".
you have a good point
@@whatnoise3863 that's what i meant by "local hours," probably should've specified that lol. ben's right tho, it doesn't really make sense to use local hours as a metric, especially not at this stage where there is no sentient life that cares about time lol
@@whatnoise3863 yes, but it'd make more sense to simply use whatever metric the natives themselves decide upon, assuming they ever achieve sapience of course.
kinda off topic but... is it possible for a planet to give rise to two separate sapient species, specifically two species that are not closely related (like neanderthals and us are)?
@@regulate.artificer_g23.mdctlsk Why wouldn't it be?
Bro the music fits so well :0
thank you so much!
hello brotherhood of Cadendale! do you think the star plants would evolve a new clade in the intertidal zone? like using the air sac as a trunk like structure?
i do actually have something planned for this exact scenario!
@@TheBrotherhoodofCadendale great!
I think it would be interesting to see islands.
Still amazing!
Looks good!
Feels a bit too close to Alien Biospheres for my conscience
6:54 Okay I realize this might just be a poor choice of words, but I can't really tell, so I'm saying this anyway: organisms do not _choose_ how they evolve. It all happens by accident.
yes, i am aware lol. it is poor word choice.
i am by no means good at this. all of this is very amateur work, so there's probably going to be a lot of discrepancies until i get the hang of it lol
@@TheBrotherhoodofCadendale understandable
Oh hey, my setting has a similar starting creature, egg shaped with a multiple of four arms and capable of swimming! Mine has an extra four feeding arms and is also the common ancestor of all animals

8:16 Daniel
8:35 the cooler Daniel
I'm re-watching this and I noticed several minor errors. Namely, you never actually showed Skavobrachyd, only the creatures that evolved in response to or from it. Likewise, Grigorazalia was at first mentioned to have six eyes, with no mention whatsoever of mandibles (4:50), yet every subsequent descendent possesses four eyes and mandibles. Regardless, this is not to deride the quality of your work, as I do enjoy the series, but these are minor issues that have bugged me.
i appreciate you pointing those out! i knew about the eye thing with grigorazalia, but was unaware of the others. thank you!
from the looks of it this has been going on for a long time
Awsome science fiction video
13:56 I like how it looks like a Flood infection form lol
This is epic
like that the plants reflect blue colors unlike biblaridion planet with red vegetation
💪💪
what is the L.U.C.A of all of these creatures?
Man, the art style is incredible!
But i have only one problem, the music is a little too intense lol 😂😂😂
Anyways, keep up on the project!
i tend to make intense music 😅 im glad you're otherwise enjoying it!
Love the pixel art
Ohhhh yea and so it begins…
No way bro, I'mma subscribe!
this looks very similar to alien biospheres from biblaridion.
It's better
Unlike most biblarion clones this one is good
