That is French, he is from Kazakistan, most of his songs are in his native language, but he also sings in english, italian too specifically the opera ones.
Dimash is a 29-year-old Kazakh vocalist and composer; He speaks Kasakh, Russian and English and is learning Mandarin Chinese. He sings in more than 14 languages, plays 7 musical instruments. He graduated from the Kazakhstan University of Arts with a master's degree in composition and I was informed that he is completing a doctorate in musicology. He also dances, acts and is an advertising model (he is 6.3 feet tall). He has received countless awards and honors around the world. He was recently in Los Angeles, USA, working on new material of his that his fans (he affectionately calls us "dears") are eagerly awaiting. He is a kind, polite and compassionate person, proud of his culture and his country.

I witnessed that already 3 times live and yes sometimes it feels quite unreal. A Dimash concert is a lifetime experience.

You are about to be bombarded with us "Dears" praising Dimash and suggestions as to what to watch next. It doesn't matter. This is just the tip of a huge iceberg. There are no words to describe Dimash, not his talent, his compassion, his love for his family and his country (Kazakhstan), his Dears, and most importantly, his music. I will suggest that you begin with his appearance on the Chinese show "Singer 2017." That way you can hear how he progressed through the years. He competed in a show that had been only for professional Chinese singers. He was the first foreigner and the youngest singer in the show's history. He was 22 and the others were 12-39 yrs. his senior. He was presented as a dark horse, and not expected to make it past the 2nd. round. He blew them out of the water. He came in second place because they had to save face and he was denied his rightful win. I watched the entire show, even the other singers. That's how I know because I heard them all. They were very good, but no match for Dimash. I loved your reaction and can understand how you are at a loss for words. You ain't heard nothing yet.

Kazakhstan, 29 years old, this is one of the 5 hardest songs to sing in French, from Starmania. He will floor you every time you hear another of his songs, he is such a miracle in our midst. Fluent in Kazakh, and Russian, learning English, sings in at least 13 languages, including Mandarin plays a bunch of instruments, composes, has great stage presence, I could go on and on. Totally amazing human being, he touches us deeply.
The first time I introduced Dimash to my family, they thought he was mechanically enhanced and it wasn't real. I mean I was astounded that I was showing them someone so talented and they had to discount it. Of course years later, one of my children comes to me and says "Mom I have to show you this Dimash!" and I facepalmed a bit lol. Everytime I listen to him, I get goosebumps. Truly gifted-once in a lifetime experience to hear him.

I became a DEAR just 48 hours ago, Jose. Some strange algorithm put his latest, When I've Got You, in my suggestions feed the other night. I then fell down the rabbit hole for 9 hours (!), finding out what I could about Dimash, reading articles, watching so many videos, even finding ones that translate this French song (one of the TOUGHEST to even sing, I've read) into English, and by dawn I was hooked by it... it even feels LIFE-CHANGING, to be gifted with just LISTENING to such beauty.
In short, he is asking, aloud, "why do I live? why do I die? I wish I were a bird, the Earth must look more beautiful from above, from above! In the grand lottery of the Universe I was given the wrong number, I feel trapped in my skin... I want a metamorphosis...sometimes I feel waves from another world, I've never been grounded, I'm sure the Earth could not be more beautiful than from above, from above, etc..." At the end, softly he says. "Sleep, Child, Sleep."
That was a down and dirty translation from the three or four slightly different performances I've seen translated. Another Dear might be able to pass along the correct lyrics...?

I sobbed the first time I heard Dimash. This is his cover of a French song. I heard from a French man that he sounds French when he sings this. He is an awesome performer and singer. Dimash is singing in French. He started his vocal training at age 5 years old. He sings in about 14 languages, he plays many musical instruments. He at the time of this video a 6 Octaves plus 2 semitones. He is very humble, very family oriented, kind.

This is the famous Igor Krutoy music writer, who came out of retirement after hearing the performance of SinfulPassion,just to work with Dimash. He is an international star, he has fans all over the world, his fans travels & cross oceans to see & support his concerts. Dimash started his music training at age 5. He attended elementary school half the day and music school the other half. He has 'absolute pitch' which only 0.01 % of people have. He sings in 13 languages and plays 8 instruments. He sells out round the world. The reason the audience didn't stand is because they don't in that part of the world. They bring flowers. Jump in anywhere. He sings pop, popera, Kazakh traditional, etc. He even raps. Really good. Check out Stranger. That'll show you vocal range. Btw his 1st album went platinum in 37 seconds! Triple platinum in under an hour. Enjoy the ride!

The thing with the flowers has something to do with respect for the artist. It's a cultural thing. The audience listens to a performance without yelling or screaming that the artist can no longer be heard. No sound may be missing. In return, they then shower Dimash with flowers and gifts. That's the norm there. He then always donates the flowers to hospitals, retirement homes or similar institutions. Russian audiences are more reserved, but that doesn't mean they don't love Dimash. They just don't show it that way. Like I said, it's a cultural thing.
Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers.
His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 16 or 17 languages so far).
He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how.
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this.
His concert in September 23, 2022 was in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong.
He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills.
He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄.
He sang this song as a guest at the Slavic Bazaar in Belarus 2018. It’s an International Festival of Arts and a contest for young singers, which he won in 2015.
SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione.
SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time.

Here he sings in a competition for young musicians, called New Wave in Sochi, Russia. He was there in 2018 as a guest.
The musicians who accompany him are called A-Studio. It's a Kazakh band that wrote this song in 1998. However, Dimash sang it differently. And in my opinion much better 😄.
The gentleman at the end you see standing and clapping is the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship.
If possible, always watch the videos from start to finish. Very often there are interesting things to learn. Either there’s something to laugh about, or he’s talking to his audience. He always thanks his musicians. He is incredibly humble and never acts like a star. When he is praised, he constantly says that it is thanks to his teachers and his parents, who made it all possible for him. He’s just incredible.

Dimash is from Kazakhstan, has a 7.2 octave range, sings in 14 languages (though speaks 3 & is learning Chinese). He has a worldwide following & his fans (he calls us his Dears) fly all over to see him in concert. He plays 7 instruments and is also a composer. Hi Jose , my Fiance listens to him all the time and watches all the reaction videos. Dimash parents are Opera singers. He is from Kazakhstan.He went to Music college but he was naturally born with a 5 octave vocal range. He can also sing songs in 13 different languages. He has won hundreds of competitions and even made his own videos and albums. His fandom are known as DEARS.. It is just AMAZING to me for somebody to be naturally born with a talent like that. Jose that song was just a little sample he can hold the highest note it seems like for a minute so you need to check some more out because that video was when he was younger, he is on fire now !!!!!

That sublime angelic range took me through the stratosphere and back. Thr control and how hus body synchronised with his vocal on a stramendous sliding scale. HOW can a deep baritone go through the roof of a Suprano without issue. My heart and mind are full right now. It sounded as though he was singing in French but I'm not sure. The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), on the 7th of March 2020. I spent weeks pouring over internet and listening to anything by him afterwards. I learned what a beautiful human being he is through his interviews. He has a 7+ octave range, multiple genres, 14+ languages, is highly trained in multiple vocal techniques, he has been training/performing/and more since he was 3 yrs. old. He sings constantly and has practiced 3 hours a day for his entire life. :) He will be 30 in May 2024. This performance is from 2018 and he keeps improving. Dimash is from Kazakhstan, this song is in French. He became world wide known and acquired his fans, called 'Dears', in 2017 on the show 'I Am Singer' in China. This is the song that he 1st sang on that show. He is kind and giving, doesn't drink or smoke, is Muslim, he is funny, and more. Dimash is the best singer/vocalist on the planet. I discovered Dimash in 2017 on a show called, The Singer, which is located in China. I have been a fan since. Both his parents are singers as well. Dimash has been studying music since the age of 5. I hope to see more reactions of Dimash on your channel. In 2020 i discovered our boys of BTS.
