Yo mengu! Your pauper videos are great! And yes I like them even when you lose the first rounds to mono red! We need competitive pauper magic content, can’t wait to see more on the workshop channel. Bella menguuuuuu
I think it is very important to let you know that I (and surely I am not alone) follow your Pauper content very closely. If you have bad luck and face the same deck several times in one video so be it. I will be around and glad to watch you play Pauper!
As long as you’re playing cool decks and talking about them it’s still interesting to me regardless of endless mono red and I’ll still watch, you make it interesting. Especially when you’re showing your knowledge of specific decks, matchups, etc, very cool.
I'm currently trying Broodscale in Modern in a G/W Heliod-Company shell (Since it combos with Rosie-Cotton or Heliod plus a Soul Sister). As an added bit of spice, it also runs several Urza's Saga to tutor out Blade of the Bloodchief (Since it has the same effect as Sadistic Glee) as well as a Shadowspear (Since it allows to push through damage but can also equip on Ballista for the Heliod Combo). One of the cool things about running Blade of the Bloodchief is that you can cast Ballista on 0 (Or even an Evoked Endurance) to start the combo if Broodscale is equipped.
@@HalcyonVentures Yah, it's definitely a cool card but the +1 mana more to equip really kills it (At least for the sake of the combo). I did play around with it a bit in Hardened Scales. While the equip cost was steep, it definitely lead to some pretty galactic stats thanks to Ravager.
There's a mono white deck with a bunch of cheap creatures, a bunch o life gain and protection main deck. It has been doing really well lately, mostly because of the meta.
Great video as always! But I think that this is not the optimal list for playing the BG version of this combo deck. The one with 4 Duress and just Broodscale and Nadier's Nightblad as creatures is way more solid IMO.
Would love to see your take on boros synth now in response to MH3 and the new meta. Would you bring any 'jolted awake' in? If so, how many and what for? Any other changes you'd make atm?
game one you could have exiled the dude and put a 1/1 counter on it. If it opp lets that resolve than you win, because than you target it with than enchantment and combo

I felt like this video was more showcasing kuldotha burn than broodscale haha
Best agro deck in the format
Burn is boring

Watching you find the line in match 3 game 2 was very impressive!

Tarrian's Soulcleaver also does the same - it equips for one more mana, but also triggers off sacrificing artifacts and grants vigilance

It's better to watch mono red win in 4 turns 3 times in a row rather than sit through 1 hour of turbo fog tbh.
comparing this new meta to what gameplay used to look like in this format before MH3 is absolutely wild.

Love the pauper contentt🔥

Play a list that preys on burn 🔥
round 3 was nice
I believe the version that splashes red for Chrysalis is better, that card is too good to not play
50:22 Leagues are ok, but I would love to see some challenge events. There's a really big gap between leagues and premier events.
Yeah but those require a lot more time and arent flexible at all
PAUPER!!!

Grixis Affinity next, please.
@@Christjs27 did u see it from some weeks ago?
Hey Mengu, maybe try gruul madness with snacker?
paupeeeer

4burn in 5 partite.. fortunello 😮
I feel like kuldatha burn is too common in pauper after watching this
This list looks pretty subpar but maybe it’s just me
Then again, people are still experimenting
does anyone know a list in modern with Basking Broodscale ?
Wait, weren't you at cardmarket right now 🤔
TH-cam is great because you can schedule videos!
Haha
jesus christ 4 out of 5 monored in a league, how unlucky
