As always a great video! It always brings me a smile when you get all giddy for birds! Glad to know it doesn't get old, even when you see/shoot as many birds as you do.
That was one heck of a hunt Eric and the amount of birds you guys flushed was unbelievable. Glad you and your brother got to enjoy a hunt like that together and the dog work is always great. Thanks for a great video.
thats memories in the making right there & you got to share it with Tom!! nothing better then great dog work & family!!! thanks for sharing & be safe out there!!
Awesome seeing the pup Bean hunt and show her natural instincts!! I got my first GWP this October and she is 8 months old. Her first Chukar season has been awesome. It has been life changing season getting a pup and watching her learn and grow!!!
You always have the best upland videos, Eric. And with Tom joining you it makes it even better. You are amazing at finding new territory to hunt. I always appreciate you taking the time to make the videos. Dogs are awesome. Good job training.
I'm getting close to retiring and looking forward to chasing birds alot more often. After watching all Erics videos im going to have to put my name on the list of Rigs future litters- what a dog and to see Bean perform like that is so phenominal!
This was my favorite type of hunt. Had some good dogs hunted till birds just disappeared from the land. Would love to be on a hunt like you are on again old man now
i love to watch great bird dogs you have some of the best ive seen in awhile my hats off to you sir and if im ever lucky enough to get another bird dog i will look you up unfortunately i dont really live in a bird rich area some how we lost all our birds back in the early to mid 80s and the awesome state of Md dosent seemto give a shit about bringing them back so it is what it is but i love your videos and watching your. stay safe and keep up the great work thanks David.
Awesome hunt! My fiancé and I love watching your videos together. We're getting our first hunting puppy end of summer! What do you run for a collar, receiver, and watch?
@ericforrester1 Thanks! Do you use the topo maps and hunt features other than the dog tracking on your Instinct? Wondering if it's worth the upgrade to the Fenix for better map detail
Hey Eric I have a question about how you shoot. When shooting a bird do you focus more on the bird or your bead? As well as do you shoot with both eyes opened or one eye closed? I’m interested and determined to become a better shot for myself. I’m not that bad but I’m not as good as I’d like to be.
Thank you for sharing. Game hawk though. 12 gauge shooting high brass Winchester super sport = killing more than 1 bird per shot. Game hawk. Grab a 20 or 28 gauge next time maybe.
If the hawks were truly massacring the quail, you wouldn't have seen nearly that many bobs! The hawks are just responding to a bumper crop of prey... Just like a big year for voles or rabbits/hares: when food is abundant, the predators will take advantage. Great video & dog work as always!
I agree it was just predators taking advantage and massacring might be a too strong a word, but there were a shocking amount of hawks going after the quail. We saw multiple hawk-quail encounters everyday. We even started using hawks as a scouting tool.
Your dogs are NOT steady and they are “out of control” They are good dogs but you’re letting them down. If they were steady to “flush and shot” your hunting would be MUCH better. Dogs that break like that you will shoot them eventually. Be careful

Yes sir! Covey flush=😁🤘

That’s awesome, congrats! It’s been a great season for developing a puppy.
The king of upland hunting videos never disappoints.

Thank you! 👊
That was a lot of birds! Glad you and Tom were able to get out after quail somewhere this year!
Thanks man! We are going to miss AZ though. Let’s hope it rains this year 🤞
I would say you found the quail!! Nice looking trip and you got to spend it with your brother.
Thanks for this! Beautiful dog work. I head out tomorrow to squeeze in another hunt before the season wraps up.
Good luck 👍
@@ericforrester1 Saw only two roosters (pointed and bagged both), and picked up five quail. She was a very good girl.
Great Dog work as usual, Love those Bobs
Great video Eric!
The doggies were straight up Rockstars! Well Done!
Wow that flush was AMAZING!
Great job 👏🏻
Merhaba , Çok keyifli ve güzel görüntüler . Bol şanslar.
Thank you

Amazing content as usual 👍
Like the hat your brother has! Custom made by a couple out of Michigan i believe. Had him make me one for opening day of Grouse in NC
Tubinator is my favorite, Thankyou
that was a dam good show love watching your dogs work
WOW man, lots of birds with great dog work.
Your kennel is getting some love on the FB wirehair group today. Another awesome video as well 👌
This video really got me fired up for my trip to AZ
Great video. Those are some healthy-looking coveys. Nothing like wild bobwhites.
never seen that many coveys since 1976. Two years before the blizzard of '78 in Indiana
Welcome to my state. It's not always like this, lol.
This was my favorite type of hunt. Had some good dogs hunted till birds just disappeared from the land. Would love to be on a hunt like you are on again old man now

Thanks David!
Great hunt and good dog work. Looked like Texas panhandle or sw Oklahoma. Always loved that country.
Hi, enable the automatic dubbing feature on TH-cam. This way the video can have a greater reach.
What kind of booties do you have on the dogs? Are they for sand spurs?
Yes. Inner tubes
@ericforrester1 thanks!
Eric, What model of semi shotgun are you using in beginning of video ? Thx
Awesome hunt! My fiancé and I love watching your videos together. We're getting our first hunting puppy end of summer! What do you run for a collar, receiver, and watch?
I run Garmin Alpha 300, tt25, and Instinct. Congrats on the puppy!
@ericforrester1 Thanks! Do you use the topo maps and hunt features other than the dog tracking on your Instinct? Wondering if it's worth the upgrade to the Fenix for better map detail
I’m not familiar with the fenix. The instinct only shows direction and distance which is all I need. If I want to see the map I look at the handheld.
Great video as usual. What is your chosen shot size for quail? I like heavy field load #8 shot to get lots of pellets downrange.
7.5 or 8. I agree 8’s make better sense but I don’t really have any evidence. I need to pattern them.
Hi Eric, great day of hunting, high density of game. What caliber are you hunting with? Regards.
Wild birds make bird dogs, good looking pup showing great breeding.
Thanks.

You should focus on the bird with both eyes open. I’m cross eye dominant though so on some shots I have to wink my left eye a bit.
Also are those do it yourself tube boots on your dogs? Can you take close up pics of how you do that. I have tried but can't keep them on the dog.
There are some really good videos out there, search for inner tube dog boots.
24:30 you got 3 birds !!
Yep, I didn’t see it until I saw the video a few times.
Hi eric love your vids any pheasant hunting coming up?
Not till next year.
Thks
Love the name Bean. Eric lets talk soon, I'm looking for a nice pup and would like to see what you might have.

Great videos keep it up 28 gauge ?
O/U is 20ga
What shells are you using? Winchester 12g 7 1/2 game loads?
7.5 target loads.
Bobwhite in sage ? Never seen em in the sage.
Love the video! I know you don’t give your location lol, but how about a state?
Thank you for sharing. Game hawk though. 12 gauge shooting high brass Winchester super sport = killing more than 1 bird per shot. Game hawk. Grab a 20 or 28 gauge next time maybe.

As a hunter, you should know NEVER EVER SHOOT THAT LOW. You ground pounded a bird.
Always somebody throwin cold water
