    MOST USEFUL TIPS (in order):
    -Dark mode if you have an OLED display.
    -Turn down the brightness.
    -Turn off mobile data, wifi, location, and other networked features when not in use.
    -Use battery saver. Unless you need to load something slow or get all notifications it's the same.
    -Use automated features mentioned in the vid to do those automatically if you like
    I never disable airplane mode because I don't use a carrier. I find manual brightness is better indoors because since Android 9+ it's really unreliable and cranks it up. you do you!

    If Adaptive Power Saving is enabled, and the phone drops from Optimized to Medium Power Savings, won't that block some background data use and hence notifications. People should be aware that it is not just throttling down the phone and limiting brightness. It's also preventing some background communications which might be notifications you might want to see. Do I have this right?

    • @elit3physique
      @elit3physique 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can tell once you unlock your phone you will be harassed by multiple notifications. If so turn it off there's no win win option so hate to say get a bigger battery phone. I have S20 Snappy trying to find a suitable solution myself but switching to 60Hz even on WQHD I am able to get over a hour more screen on time and more hours on standby I think even though I am not using it it maybe a placebo effect I need to test it but I do feel its longer compared to running 120Hz. Try it

    - Dark mode
    - Medium saving mode
    - Don't keep activities turned on
    - Network 3g/2g (i'll try LTE later to see if it makes any difference)
    - Screen brightness 27% (plenty for me)

    As for the adaptive brightness option , I guess that turning it off is better no? I mean having it means that the sensor always has to keep monitoring when to increase/decrease the brightness, so that would consume more battery than simply manually changing the brightness.

    • @kennyb123
      @kennyb123 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It depends. If you are always on top of it and managing your brightness as you go, and keeping it low, you would be saving battery. If you go outside, turn it way up, and then don't turn it down when you go inside, you're wasting battery.
      I find that the phone learns my brightness preferences pretty quick, and it's so convenient, I'm willing to lose a little extra battery to have it manage it for me.

      it depends how you look at it if its set on it adjusts to the to the brightness which sounds good but it will be throttling through different brightness throughout the day which can use more then usual, however if its off you can manually adjust it to lets say dark and save more battery because the phone wont ever adjust and it won't be accidently set on high when not needed. Jimmy have you ever tried to set the brightness to maximum with adaptive brightness set to Off. Then use the note20ultra outside under the hot sun. Open the camera app and other apps. About 20‐30minutes as the apps are opened the phone start to get hot. And...u notice the screen is not as bright as earlier and gets harder to see whats on the screen under the sun because somehow the software is adjusting the brightness to lower level? Is this how samsung software works?

    • @addys1010
      @addys1010 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      samsung has reached out and admit that such feature exists in note 20 to prevent overheating which is annoying imho. While doing some phototaking and looking at google maps midway, the phone has to reduce its brightness making it harder to see whats on screen and i had to stop whatever im doing. The phone has to cool down to have its brightness back to normal. Such an expensive phone but it gives me a hard time to use. Samsung has to admit that their exynoss chip cant handle high spec phone like note 20. It generates heat and drains battery faster than the snapdragon version.
