Cooke Transitions did an amazing job at making everyone SHINE at their Talent Show 2024

Adults 18-21 in the Cooke Program perform on stage for a talent show perform in a large space with a giant screen behind them . A huge crowd of parents , friends & caregivers came to watch the students showcase their karaoke & dance talents
Cooke staff did an outstanding job of including everyone and making each student feel seen and heard and most importantly SHINE
Everyone had a great time and is seen smiling on stage and in the audience .

Cooke Transitions is a program designed for 18 to 21-year-old students to round out their academic, social, and life skills as they transition from high school to adulthood. Located in New York City and close to all mass transit, Cooke Transitions offers continued academics in core subject areas. Using NYC as their living classrooms, students take advantage of visits to public libraries, parks, museums, gyms and recreational centers as part of the program’s extensive off-site educational programming.
Cooke Transitions helps young adults develop independence through community inclusion and real-world vocational opportunities:
Life skill courses (cooking, travel, apartment living)
Vocational training
Academic experiences
Volunteering and paid internships
