I think the reveal was a bit too late in the season but I know why they did it. So many figured it out before the reveal of identity. Many also thought it was Ronnie.

Ironically its when eric wallace took over and made the show worse is when iris's character actually has been the best she's been in the show, he actually gave her something to do other than just quarterback and be a worse version of Felicity by giving her, her own job and arc.

Iris wasn’t a bad character till season 4
I feel they tried to put Iris into roles her character just didn't suit and on top of that forced Iris and Barry together too soon. Plus Grant and Danielle have a way better chemistry.

Season 4 was really good, so many unexpected things happened like Barry going to prison or the thinker outplaying everyone. We even got Ralph for the first time which was awesome.
the only unexpected thing that happened was how horrible the writing gets after each season
Honestly, The Thinker is only smart in this season because the entire team flash became 10 times more stupid in order for the plot to happen

I didn't like how Barry went to prison. How was he meant to have killed Devoe and take him miles from his home/work, and then why drag him up to his and Iris' home? How did he do it? Where was Devoe's specialised wheelchair?
EDIT: I did enjoy the prison sequence of episodes, those were great. I just questioned the execution of getting Barry in prison.

Eddie’s death in the first season shocked me, I know he was somehow linked to thawne, but I didn’t expect him to die tho. I especially love the cliffhanger of the season one finale

Yeah but it completely fucks the entire timeline because of Eobard thawne never existed then none of the show would ever have happened.
In the DC Comics, Eddie Thawne is actually Barry's biological brother, but was GIVEN at birth to another couple called the Thawnes, by a certain Dr. MALCOM GILMORE. Who told the Allens that he was stillborn.

The thinker is a very underrated villain, being the first significant non speedster villain Barry had trouble facing. He had a promising start with his big reveal until they put him in that goofy flying chair 😭. And yeah season 5 was pretty decent. Much better than 6-9. Well, thanks a bunch Eric Wallace 😃
Eric Wallace adding 2 villain arcs per season was a terrible idea and decision, like why add an extra villain if they’re not gonna get enough time to develop as a proper villain
The thinker's plan was to make everyone stupid and he was defeated by love.

This is probably the best ranking that I’ve seen so far. I agree with where you put everything even though Season 1 and Season 2 are interchangeable for me for top Season.
Season 1 and 2 are must watch. Season 3 is still a fun time to watch. Season 4 to 6(the first half of 6) are hit or miss. Season 7 to 9 are must drop.

I feel bad for Cicida. He started as a great villain,even though the rest of it was bad,until the story was giving him a satisfying conclusion by curing him and his sister's daughter,until that girl Cicida showed up. He deserved to be alive and have a happy ending.

throughout the whole season I didnt like cicada as a villain like shoot him with a gun or stab him like iris did, instead of beating cicada up for breaking his daughters back, barry could’ve took him to the pipeline. girl cicada was just garbage. Rf carried tbh with the ending

They don't kill so they wouldn't do something like that, Iris stabbed him in self defence as a last resort. Also do you think Barry is a robot programmed with exactly what to do in a given moment? Its made clear throughout the show that Barry's emotional nature is his biggest "fault". He lost his composure, beat up and nearly killed the man who he thought paralysed his daughter for good. To think Barry would keep his cool and just lock him up in the pipeline isn't likely considering his character
IMO, Devoe is the drippiest non-speedster villain

I always hate the fact that no one brings up Eddie’s sacrifice in the finale of the first season,it was so heartbreaking and he was done dirty,I haven’t even begin watching the final season yet so idk about that

I really, REALLY wish The Flash ended at season 3. Savitar was the perfect final villain, but they just had to keep going.

In my opinion, season 4 was not bad. The last time the show was really popular was in season 3. The show lost so many fans after that. I remember so many friends of mine stop talking about it after season 3.

Season 4 is my favorite it’s so underrated
Na sry in my opinion are season 4 and 5 the worst they got some good scenes that definitely but overall Not anywhere close to the previous ones they were a downgrade from season 1-3 we’re Top they are very high
honestly all seasons are connected in a interesting way so they are all rlly good
What i think is a good last episode is that cobalt blue has a plan for the villains
Savitar can go to infantino street and do the exact same thing as he did, which is kill iris in front of barry but instead of killing iris, barry was fast enough to stop savitar.
For zoom, the same thing can happen that he wants to use the magnetar, and wipe out the entire multiverse, killing all the speedster, like season 2, barry races him, but this time barry caught up with him and knock out zoom.
Godspeed can try and kill the rest if team flash and the other team flash people with power try and stop him but they cant.
Reverse flash can betray cobalt blue and become the avatar, collecting the speed from the rest of the villains, and barry and him can actually do a proper fight or can just make flash 1 v 4 the villians
What barry can do at the end, is he destroy the negative speed force once and for all.
This will show how much Barry has improved and how much faster he has become

Barry couldn't defeat any of them but in S4 he was fast enough for anyone
For me season 5 was the best. I just loved when his daughter came to the past to see her father. I just thought it was very sweet and wholesome especially when she found the video of her dad telling her that he's the flash and that he loves her ❤️ 😢
So The Trickster was literally Luke Skywalker, he says Darth Vader’s line, and Cisco says “May the Speed Force be with you” in S1E23, then we have these “lightsabers”.
That’s insane.
S1 is also my favorite season it was the show at its best

Honestly, ending at the S1 cliffhanger is even more satisfying for me. We see Barry being an unsure guy learning to use his powers and how to make the right decisions.
And by the end, he makes the right decision, lets his mother die, and despite knowing how outclassed he is against the singularity, still says, "I have to try" and fearless goes for it. That's the moment he becomes The Flash.
Don't even need to know if he succeeds or not. His arc is complete.

Facts
My biggest issues with season 5 is firstly, Nora is suppose to be closer to Barry and Iris age but she acts like a teenager (they could’ve literally just said she was 16 and a lot of the issues with her would be solved) and then the time travel. The time travel in season 5 makes no sense. They destroy the dagger and it just disappears like 30 years in the future, giving Thawne a way to escape. When it should’ve rewritten the timeline and through that, Thawne would never have been captured
Exactly when i watching this first time i have same conclusion that if the dagger desapire in the past that Thrawne should be no capture in the future. Only solution is that new timeline wasn't made yet and it has sense because when Nora is vanishing Thrawne said that she lost her time and new timeline is creating.
Season 1 and 2 had me in a chokehold back in the day

I think seasons 3 and 5 were a great place to end the show. Season 5 had a great finale, and an emotional ending, plus Barry faces off Reverse Flash and it's clear that he will always be there to ruin Barry's life. Season 5 gave us a look at the future of the city and the show could have easily ended with the audiences wondering whether he'll survive crisis or not.
S01… 10 years ago. Remember watching the episode where he reveals himself to Iris but then do the first time travel - it was mesmerizing.
To be honest defoe being a villian was quite A unique change to the story. Like how this villian wasnt a speedstar and how he was always one step ahead

Honestly, this is perfect. You got em all right. The last season felt rushed. They brought back the characters we loved just for them to basically be squashed. They didn't need to revive zoom, savitar, and the reverse flash if they weren't even gonna put up a fight.

A huge problem with the later seasons is that they stopped with all the mystery and would reveal the big bad’s identity either immediately or a few episodes in.

First season was amazing. You can literally see how after season 3 it started slowly going downhill every season.
Agreed, especially on the Season 5 one. Cicada suddenly being the daughter just doesn't feel right to me... and made me end up sleeping throughout the entirety of Season 6 and 7 😂
4.1 All the season was beautiful, but the the best little new season was season five and season seven. Everything was good about that.
