While watching this I kept thinking about how amazing it is that we humans have music. That we have the ability to somehow create beautiful songs through the playing of instruments with each other. The Antlers always get me thinking deeply.
Of course there is, and we're quietly lucky we can looking for and found amazing new bands using internet. (Sorry for my bad English, I'm writing from Italy 💚)
I bought this album when it came out because I loved Hotel. Listened to half the album once then not again at all for 3 months. When I dug it back out it became an obsession. My wife thinks I'm nuts because this is my workout music. Easily best album of 2014. Thanks guys for making this perfect album.
I loved the Hospice. But Familiars is yet another level. I had days when I listened to the album on repeat, all day. Today, four years later, it is still my top 5 albums EVER. A true musical masterpiece.
When I click this video, the first thought that came to my mind is "I wish The Antlers will perform on my wedding someday" , though I'm single right now. Haha
I saw them live when they opened for Death Cab for Cutie. They were like "Hey guys, we're The Antlers" and they started playing. I never heard of them prior, so it was kind of weird at first. It's hard to understand what he is singing sometimes, but the performance was pretty good. Their drummer, Michael Lerner, played so delicately that it was almost amusing (not in a bad way).
If you're a fan of The Antlers, I'm sure you'd appreciate Slow Club... Check out this sweet video they did on a random balcony.. Come on, what can be cooler than that! www.undertheradarmag.com/news/premiere_slow_club_tears_of_joy_balcony_tv_live_session_video/ #SlowClub
As a fan of the Antlers since Hospice, I dare say this is their best record to date.
I'm definitely into this one the most too. The second halves of "Doppelganger" and "Director" are so unreal!
I have to agree your right.
YOU LIKE THE ANTLERS WTFFFF

That trumpet is absolutely gorgeous and makes everything so good.
"One of my favourite bands in the world, The Antlers..." Same.
Same here, I loved to hear her say that :D

This band proves that there is still a great music.
in dark and hard to reach places but yes it's there haha

So in love with this group, can never get enough of them.
And here we Are. In the midst of it. Wish I could time travel back to this session.

Can't believe the number of views on this. People, please watch this and rise to a certain happiness you wouldn't know what to do with.
Joy to listen. Greetings from Serbia!
After they play Palace, the lady starts to speak but is a little choked up from the perfomance...

did you get married?
I haven't kept up with these guys since right when hospice came out. This was a nice thing to come back to.
Just seen these guys in Raleigh NC. They opened for Hozier. They put on an awesome performance.

Wow, I'm in love with them.
Easily one of this years greatest albums! Can't wait to see them in Glasgow :)
Gosh, how beautiful it was
thank you for this
Fantastic
SO GREAT
Wish they would've done 'Parade'.
Yeah, great tune, but having to censor lyrics for radio would have killed some of the bite on the first line.
+mramerecka
They did "Hotel" though, which had to be censored as well.
Thanks KEXP c:

NICE SOUND......!!! ;-)
That host is REALLY eyeing Peter :o
SUBLIME
Where the hell is the bassist? I can hear some beautiful bass being played from 16:46 minutes. No video clips of the bassist?
It’s being played by one of the keyboardists.
Wish they would've done "Every night my teeth are falling out"
An ex of mine told me to listen to this band, and I never did.
All I can say is - thank God we broke up.
trumpets face at 0:17
