Mine has the main shaft that drives the pulley, it also has a smaller shaft that comes out where the distributor is that drives the hydraulic pump. My question is how did you work around that issue when you converted engines
These bobcat use a variable speed, sheave, similar to a snowmachine. often times when they're converted from the original Wisconsin or Kohler engine that sheave is replaced with a fixed pulley. you'll need to check on the left-hand side of your Bobcat for the variable speed, hydraulic piston and see if it still is connected to the sliding jaw of the sheave. if you still have the hydraulic sheave and pulley, you'll need to make sure that the valve is providing hydraulic pressure to it, and that the seals are intact so that the piston can press the pulley tighter.
i ordered one of these www.ebay.com/itm/254649975320?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=aV2_brW7Rcm&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=1lhF1RcFQ-W&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY and it was a bolt on upgrade
I would like to discuss your melroe repower project more in depth aka email or something like that I'm looking at doing the same switch over more information would be greatly appreciated
I accomplished the retrofit to a vanguard engine 4 yrs ago. I really like it but need more weight on back to offset the loss of the Wisconsin engine.

Hey did you use a fuel pump? For the Briggs
i used an electric fuel pump yes
Are you concerned about rotating that pump at maximum rpms from that Briggs and exceeding it's mechanical limits?
both tbe k662 and the briggs have a max rpm of 3600
Lets see some more progress vids on this! I've got one I bought years ago. Got a 25hp Kohler V twin to put in it......if I ever get around to it.
More progress videos please. I’ve got a small walk behind one that needs a new engine and would really like to try and replace it myself.
i unfortunately just sold this piece of equipment to buy a back hoe so unfortunately there will be no more videos in the series
@@foxsworkshop1259 good trade, can do alot more work with a backhoe.
how did you mount hydraulic pump
i bolted the splined coupler to the flywheel of the motor
I have a bobcat 500 with a vtwin honda and it is stuck in low cant get it to get it to speed up going forward or backwards

We made sure the piston was free and put new seals in servo on the side and replaced hydraulic fluid and filters rebuilt pump still in low
@@darincook6603 Is the piston moving at all when you adjust the speed lever?
As far as I know it is
@@darincook6603 It should be very clear that its moving as the plates of the pully should be pressed closer together, is that happening?
You didn't film the most important part: how to mate the new shaft to the variable speed sheave...

I no longger own this project so i don't know how much help i would be, calebjdav(at)gmail.com
Looks almost exactly like the M600 & M610 that I have.
Yup for the m600 they used the same frame and switched to a 4 cylinder Wisconsin motor
