    Sending it back to exchange for the 1500 might be good.
    Definitely I feel disheartened. I just received the larger unit during a 2 week power outage following hurricane Ian.
    Now, seeing this video, I wonder if I should return mine.
    After the hurricane i have so much on my plate.

    I am so sick of my jackerys not charging and turning off with full charges (day or night) and then not charging. I also have their e2000 battery packs and they disconnect. Fix is to unplug everything, reset, and the setup from scratch. 10 or 15x a month. Jackery also tells you NOT to reset your units lol. Make up your f'n. I love how support never answers and email support rakes 2 days and you have to send them videos of everything they tell you do to before they will help.

    It seems a little naughty that the problem only seems to apply to non-Jackery PV input via the adapter. Perhaps it's working as intended (to encourage you to purchase and use the Jackery panels), which I note aren't even recommended for use in the rain, so hardly suitable for mounting on a vehicle, etc!

      I have Jackery panels. A 100 watt solar saga and two 200 watt solar saga panels and it does the exact same thing... So No, that is not the issue.

    My Jackery 2000 Pro has solar charging issues as well. I am using 100W Renogy panels (18V/5.56A). When I connect 2 or 3 panels in series to one input port and the sun comes back out, after being behind clouds for an extended period, the charge only resumes at a capped-off level (approx. 140W). I too have to unplug/plug back in to recapture the full input of the panels. I have not seen the F2 error. One potential workaround: When I connect panels to BOTH input ports (I have tried one 100W panel on each port as well as two 100W panels in series on each port), I have noticed no charging issues in the limited testing that I have done. My unit seems to charge more reliably when both DC input ports are active.

      I have gotten the error when both inputs are used. However, I will admit that I don't use both very often as I mainly use the mounted solar panel. In this video though both inputs were being used as you can also see the solar saga 100w behind the camper. I only need to unplug one of the 2 lines to wake the Jackery up though. Thanks for your comment!

      Ok. I saw the Solar Saga but just thought it was charging your smaller Jackery. Well, that’s a shame that using both ports did not improve it for you. I hope that I do not find that the same is true with mine after more use. Having to babysit the unit would be a pain. I do really like it otherwise and it’s nice having the option to quickly top it off with my gas generator on cloudy days.

      @@kimberlymoore2962 Yea, I hope so for you too. It IS a pain to babysit it. For the price that it cost I find it ridiculous. It's not like this is a low dollar knockoff. The unit is good otherwise.

      Kimberley I have noticed the same issue. I have three solar saga 100 panels and use the solar Series connector to connect all three to one input on the 2000. If I put the panels out early and not in full sun then later when the panels are in full sun I don’t get the full wattage I have to unplug and then plug back in and then get the full wattage from the three panels. I may get one more panel so I can connect two panels to each input see if that solves this issue as you suggest.

    • @kimberlymoore2962
      @kimberlymoore2962 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@oldmaninthemirror Before spending money on another panel, I would suggest putting one panel on one input and one panel on the other input and check if you see the expected full wattage of the two panels when the sun comes back out. That will help confirm that your unit does indeed do the same thing as mine. In my case, when using only one input port, the wattage was only getting up to about 140W when the sun returned after a long cloudy period. However, when I plugged a 100W Renogy panel into each of the input ports, it returned to the expected full wattage (180W or so) when the sun returned after a long cloudy period. Of course, the difference was greater when I added more panels. Unfortunately, I have not done much additional solar testing to confirm repeatability of results. I have the Jackery 2000 mainly for emergency use and have just been using it every couple months and recharging it either on house AC or on a Honda EU2200i.

    How often are you having to reset or unplug and plug it back in? We just purchased the 3000 pro and had an issue with solar chargering this weekend, using the jackery panels, wiring, and having one plugged into each dc input.

    Is there a possible correlation for the error between the high temperature of the camper and maybe an over sensitive thermal disconnect? Mine hasn’t done that f2 yet. Still testing it out.

    • @myokielife
      @myokielife  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't think so. When the unit overheats it throws a different error. It almost always happens in the morning BEFORE the heat cranks up. From what I can tell it appears that once the solar panels stop inputting electric ( night time or shadows) the MPPT controller goes to "sleep" and the only way to "wake" it back up is to unplug and plug back in the solar panel(s). Jackery has already acknowledged the issue...However they claim it is on PURPOSE and not an oversight or flaw. Which in my opinion I don't buy one bit... I uploaded a short video of the issue and how to get it charging again.

      I wonder if its a non Jackery panel or connector issue. Just guessing.

    Hi. I watched this video and your other one showing no input unless you replugged the cable. I was wondering if it behaves the same using the Jackery panel that you have with the 500. Of course the panel on the runaway should work fine, just was curious if the problem is repeatable by using the Jackery panel. I have the Jackery 500 also and googling today there doesn’t seem a way to update the firmware, or didn’t find any info on it. The problem you show with the 2000 has to be a bug, they lying that it’s a feature. 😊

    • @myokielife
      @myokielife  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 500 does not have the problem regardless of what panel is used ( I have used them all on the 500 from time to time)

      @DouglasBarnum ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@myokielife yes I know. My question was have you tested the 2000 with the Jackery panel. Curious if the problem also occurs then. I’m wondering if there is circuitry in the Jackery panel that mitigates the problem. You know it has the orange plastic enclosure that also has a USB port to charge a device directly. I’m guessing here of course. Being a software developer for 35 years you try to find ways of debugging things. 😀
