This was a great figure, the yellow and gold is a bit odd tbh. But the wored capr is very appreciated. I would have loved some thunder effects or smoke effects.
Isn't it weird that they used both yellow and gold in the same figure? In comics, the yellow basically means gold but when it's both it means he's wearing yellow boots? Why?
Yeah, I don't like the look of both gold and yellow on him either, but it looks like that's what they did for the artwork in that comic book. In all fairness to McFarlane, they were basing it on that specific book for the Page Punchers line.
@@soumyadham my mental image of captain marvel is the DCUC figure so i’ve always preferred the gold bracers and cape lining, with yellow boots and sash, but this figure is sorely missing a yellow bolt.
Man, I love your channel so much. The theme songs at the beginning, your incredible customs, and your jokes crack me up. It really is always one of the highlights of my day when you have a new video up. Thank you.
Your custom SHAZAM is an A+. It was so good that I thought it was a MAFEX official version with my sound off. God I wish they would come out with that yellow chest bolt.
Brad I absolutely love your intro harmony for “Page Punchers” but especially “DC MULTIVERSE!!” Lol it’s constantly stuck in my head and I come up with all sorts of goofy lyrics. Such as: 🎵DC stole my shirt!!!!!🎵 and 🎵Baldness has no cure!!!🎵 and 🎵No more Hershey squirts!!🎵 Yeah I’m a total dork but that doesn’t stop me from being a goofy ass mofo. Anyways Cheers, Brad sir!!😘❤
Havent found this guy yet but, ill be getting him. I will also be doing some mods on him. I want him to look more like a Classic Captain Marvel, not "The Captain". Though I suppose NOTHING will top the Popmart Gong Studios Kingdom Come Captain Marvel figure from last year. THAT is the DEFINITIVE Captain Marvel figure!!
He’s a little bit tall, but not to exaggerative. For some reason the page punchers are a little bit taller than the average McFarlane DC Multiverse figures . It will be a little bit taller than my Superman, which isn’t the worst thing. He is however, the most definitive Shazam we’ve gotten for McFarlane so I’m glad mine is coming in tomorrow! If I can get over wonder woman being such a tall figure, then I can make this work for sure
So the weird thing about Page Punchers 78 Superman NOT sharing parts with Earth-2 is that he has a number of parts he DOESN'T share with the standard 1978 Superman. The arms are completely different and that doesn't make a lot of sense if it's not reuse. It doesn't make a lot of sense if it IS reuse either since you'd expect both 1978 Supermen to be the same.
I will be getting him because I collet everything Shazam loved the current run however the new artist is horrible the writing is great but the art is really rough to look at they need to bring back the artist that started the book he was great. Anyway as far as this figure goes I would have preferred the cap not to be so Chunky on the gold trim and the boots to look more like the comic. Its close but misses the mark still going to by it will just have to do it my self lol. The eyes actually don't bug me and the over all face looks good as does the lighting bolt on his chest, The colors are also really nice.
Brad it would be really awesome if you could get Bones and The Necro Zoo on “Infinite Hour” along with you he is one of my all time favorite DC review guys to watch and he also does badass customs just like yourself.
I got the Captain Thunder variant, that’s a unique version. I like the Native American aspect of Capt. Thunder. There’s also an African American version of him in older DC Comics. Such a strange back story to DC trying to aquire & getting Capt. Marvel / Shazam!
The "Squinty" look in his eyes has to do with the art style of the original creator and artist of Captain Marvel aka Shazam (DC really messed up not securing the trademark) named CC Beck iirc... just look at old DC Who's Who comics from the 80s or older artwork cause he had a very nice art style not many are aware of and he goes way back unless I'm wrong due to the whole mess that happened when DC sued Fawcett Comics and somehow won or did not or whatever but Fawcett Comics ended up running into financial issues and Superman was saved from being outsold by Captain Marvel comics, and all the variants that were just way better stories than the Superman stories from that time.
The Captain is going to last the same Queen Ivy did. Oh, wait, nobody remembers that DC tried to have Poison Ivy changed her name to Queen Ivy? The same is going to happen with "The Captain".
Wow, he looks great! Hope I can find one. I agree that people need to pick that comic run up, worth it just based on the excellent Dan Mora artwork.

I’d love to see more of those custom Supermen!
Great review. Makes me want Mary, Freddie, and a 2000s JSA Black Adam to go with him.

Dude when I first heard that I had to play to back. I was like "wait there's a song to go with the toy line?"😅
Very cool. Thanks Brad!
This one is a must have! I skipped out on the New 52 version but will definitely pick up this one.
Super cool! Now to find one!!

It's by far the best 7 inch SHAZAM figure to date. Here's hoping for a Kingdom Come version in the near future.
I can say I do like it on that bigger Superman buck. Really gets across that Golden Era big heroic profile to the body.
I wish it was possible to make his cape go to one side. That’s my favorite look for CM.
We clearly need a new Black Adam. Without a cape would be ideal.
I tried so hard to get this figure but couldn't get it anywhere

3:40 damn.. not even Shazam looks like Shazam like your custom Shazam
Real Captain Marvel
i will never all him captain marvel nor the captain i will forever call him shazam
i dont know why people hate the name shazam so much they keep trying to change it npo its shazam now and forever
