Hey Josh, I work in an office and wanna make music, this a good portable device to learn? Trying to get back into my set up. I geared up when rent was low, but never committed to making music enough, but this inspired me!
It all comes down to how you enjoy making music, but to me, the M8 is fantastic. The tracker workflow can be intimidating, but once you learn it, you can throw songs together super quickly. And it has midi, so it can control other gear. I can't think of anything else in the M8's price range that can compare to its versatility and feature set.
Love this idea. When I make a video on this, since I wouldn't want to claim your idea as my own, are you alright with me sharing your TH-cam account name to credit you?
@@JoshIsMakingMusic dude thanks for the reply. However, you really don't need to thank me as this would be something I can see you tackling eventually. Want to add still how banging your're tracks are on the m8 and in general. Thanks for inspiring me to get better on it.
@@Craneko sorry it's taken a while... I take classes when I'm not at work, so time is hard to come by to plan out that video. 😅 I promise I'm working on it though!
I love this groove so much!
Wow! Your melodies are always so on point!!!
Thank you! I love writing melodic lines. 😂
I enjoyed this little song, thanks very much for sharing it. It is happy and joyful but with a touch if melancholy underneath I think.
Great one. When the counter melody comes in, just so good.
Thank you! The M8 is so good for fun melodic lines.
Really charming track with great melodies! Thanks for sharing this, Josh!
Thanks! Glad you liked it. 😁
That kick is pure gold
Thank you!
Fantastic job making this!!! Mastered? How? Sounds Great.

It absolutely is. The M8 is a joy. The workflow is a little obtuse, but it doesn’t take long to learn.

Is there any way of doing a break down for your m8. I'm trying to learn chiptune on the m8 but can never get it to sound good

@@JoshIsMakingMusic hoping you make this chiptune breakdown/tutorial video someday!
