Good job, and great thinking on using a 24 volt system. I've got basically the same setup to run a window air conditioner and a modem and router, but it's a 12-volt. I had to beef up the wires and busbars and I can run less solar than you with the same type of controller. I did mine like that because I bought one battery at a time. I bought those same bus bars and ended up getting some 350 amp thicker ones. I'll save them for a different system.

Yeah I learned to check the quality of the gear. Read the material that it is made of. I learned a lot with this build. Thanks for watching. I’ll get copper for sure next time.

Great system review, and I’m very impressed by your knowledge! But there’s no way that I will ever know how to do this much technology 😮

Was this near $1000 to make or higher?

4 batteries at 265.00 a piece, controller 220.00, inverter 300.00. 110.00 breakers wires another 50.00. 18.00 for crimp on lugs. 75.00 in hardware. But it is like having 5 Jackery 1000’s so it is cheaper for sure than buying 5 of those.

I'm about 1/3 of the way through this video and the ONLY quality thing about this build, is the HQST solar charge controller! Everything else is pretty much the cheapest thing you can get for that product. While the other stuff isn't exactly junk, the fact of the matter is you had a problem with SHIPPING, not with the HQST SCC, so why are you bashing it, exactly? Those trip breakers will fail you. You should have researched those a lot more because if you actually trip and reset them frequently, you'll find out they are not a good replacement for a fuse OR a switch. Watch some reviews where they test those types of switches...they fail, often in spectacular fashion. Also, why would you build all of those cables and not use shrink wrap on any of them? Good concept, but poor execution.

Excellent system - well thought out and researched. Great job! Please give us an update once you make the changes you want to do on this. Once you bring those bigger solar panels online, you could even use your system to save you a little on your power usage... Our power bills on Long Island, NY are sky-high, and if I could power something like my fridge by solar, it would help a lot. Alas, apartment living does not allow me to have an array of panels as we have no back yard. I'm envious of your system! So glad you shared and thank you!
