    That lazy Stevie Wonder concert would have ticked me off too. Like...what the heck, man?
    Quick concert story: I went to see Pentatonix with a couple of friends a few years back. While the show was FANTASTIC, my friends and I got into some trouble with some ladies behind us. They said, "You girls need to stop dancing so seductively. There are children around!" Okay yes, so maybe the Pentatonix crowd is not really zoned for wild nights but COME ON, LADIES!! It is okay to dance at concerts, right??

      What?? How else are you supposed to have a good time?? Haha thanks for sharing your story, I love PTX, might add them to my list to go see in concert 🤗

    Talking about Goth, I am legitimately Goth: Gutar from Gotland on my maternal grandfather’s side and, as I discovered from some notes my Mom left, Vastergoths (Visigoths) from Vastergotland on my maternal grandmother’s side.

    Hi, Jacy! I discovered your channel a few days ago and enjoy your storytime snippets. I have attended lots of concerts, both as a professional photographer and as a ticketed fan. My favorites have been Janet Jackson's "State of The World," which I attended at the Hollywood Bowl in 2017, and Jazmine Sullivan at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle last February. I have yet to attend a concert I could consider the worst. My next will be Wu-Tang Clan and Nas, which this hip-hop head is so looking forward to.

    I really like electronic type of music. One of my favorites is Griz. One time at one of his after party shows there was a group of tall dudes who were being so rude and obnoxious completely hogging the rail. All I wanted was one song to be on the rail so I could see and enjoy a second. I asked nicely they rudely said no. I tried pushing my way through they’d push me back. (I’m just a tiny 100 pound girl). One of them dropped their phone and I picked it up for them hoping maybe they’d have a change of heart. Nope. I was ready to fight these bros. Griz is supposed to just be good vibes and really encourages spreading kindness. Unfortunately I have experienced some really rude aggressive people at the front of his shows.

    Aww lol I’ve had a bridal party vomit on me and my brother at a Bruno Mars concert.. A drunk couple spill their beer on my mom and daughter at a Sam Smith concert.. and I saw Stevie for his Songs in the Key of Life concert, literally the best concert I’ve ever been to. I’m bummed he did play any of his songs for you.. it’s truly everything you’d expect this to be

    My best concert was Weird Al Yankovic. By far. He played his accordion while walking through the audience, down the lengths of the rows. And he was pretty famous then. Afterwards he signed autographs. It was amazing.

    You are late to the game girl, everybody pukes when they go to see Lionel Richie
    My husband and I went to a concert, Ronnie Laws was with a bunch of others and they made him open. He didn't play at all. He just appeared briefly, blew one note and walked off. I think his agent had told him he'd be the headliner not opening for a couple of C listers.

    Best concert I have ever been to was Paramore and fall out boy back in like 2015-ish. The energy was incredible!
    The worst was Chris Brown in 2019. Just felt like it was a job and he didn’t want to be there. But that’s where I discovered 6lack and he’s been one of my favorite artists since.

    • @JacyErin
      @JacyErin  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! You want to see them enjoying their own performance, otherwise it takes away from the experience for concert goers. Paramore would be incredible!

    We were too heavily indebted - we called my Dad “The Master of Deficit Financing” - for us to go to expensive concerts growing up, but we went to an inexpensive concert in the very early 1970’s sponsored by Westchester County, introducing a then-young pianist named Vladimir Ashkenazy, which was wonderful. As a trumpet player, initially, I performed in school concerts and, prior to my entering high school, my parents took me to the YHS spring band concert, to see what I could expect.
    Well… they tried to perform Richard Strauss’ tone poem, “Till Eulenspiegel’s Merry Pranks” with a graduating senior attempting to play the solo French Horn part. When he sank in a sea of flubs, the band director stopped and restarted the band several times, with or without the French Horn. It became THE epic failure of the YHS Concert Band and of French Horns as I began my academics at Yorktown High School. Personally, I was blessed with a more sanguine view of the instrument, my Mom being a huge fan of Dennis Brain and me having grown up on his recordings of the Mozart Horn Concertos and stories of him playing the garden hose. So it was that when I was asked to move from our already deep trumpet section to play French Horn in the concert formulation of the band, I obliged, as long as I would continue playing trumpet in the marching band. By the time I reached first chair, and with the old director retiring, it was decided to tackle “Till” again with me playing the Horn part. My parents were in a panic about me being thrust in that role. I nailed it! That was one of my best concerts.

    Nine Inch Nails always puts on an excellent show. So does Say Anything. Can’t think of a bad concert I’ve been to, but I haven’t gone to many. Maybe a local Grateful Dead band I accidentally saw one time.

    Hi Jacy, loved the video. Awesome storytelling. Only I've noticed that there is a hum on your microphone going on intermittently during the duration of each of the last few videos and it drives me crazy. Might have to do with feedback. Do you have 2 mics on or do you put your voice on speaker at the same time your are recording? If so you should only use one mic (turn off the mic from your camera) and not put your voice on speakers while recording as it creates feedback. Also put your mic higher on your shirt so that it is closer to your mouth. It will prevent too much ambient noise getting into the mic being heard as loud as your voice as you compress the audio. I'd suggest you place the mic next to where your lowest necklace is hanging so maybe 6 inches under your chin. I studied in sound engineering. Hope that helps!

      Thanks so much for the info, I sincerely appreciate it! I have a super noisy neighborhood, so I definitely need to pause when the trash truck is outside, since it's clearly picking it up on my mic lol. Hopefully some upgraded audio equipment is in my future as well. Thanks for your support on my channel 🤗
