Al-Waraqaat notes
 What constitutes evidence?
 Principles and guidelines on using evidence
 Who is qualified to use evidence?
 Muslims are educated in daleel but not in the principles behind coming to that daleel
 “These waraqaat (jam’u qilla - plural consisting of small number of things)
 This word - a few pages - indicates 1. humility from the Sheik’s side and 2. ease for the student. entry into knowledge is difficult while exiting it is easy.
 tashtamilu - to encapsulate
 “These few pages are going to address specific chapters related to the science of Usool-ul-fiqh.”
 Zalika - something far away from you (its awesomeness) you could not have achieved this by yourself unless Allah had blessed you.
 The scince of UF is related to logic and language
 Two separate words, each a part of a broader whole
 Taarif idaafi - define each mufrad (word) and then bring them together into one meaning ie Usuul and Fiqh
 Asl - something which other things are based on, what something else needs
 Asl is the tree whereas the secondary issue (far) is the fruit
