    I'm at the end stage of my loc research. And I've come back to your videos for months now. I'm sure this is the easiest and most manageable method . And that spells "yes" for me. Thank you for making this big decision less intimidating. Shalom

    First, your son is so adorable!!! I am currently in the process of unlocking and doing a loc #reboot. I went to a loctician and after the second month I was not at all happy with them, so this time around I am going to just do it myself and see what happens. Thanks for sharing! xoxo

    • @amibrink

      Yes, I started back in October! I am thinking of starting with two strand twist this time. My hair is a softer texture and the strands a really fine. Once I’m done unlocking I’m giving my hair a deep conditioning, some much needed rest, and go from there.

    Love these vids, very helpful. I restarted my loc journey in my 6mth of pregnancy, did the 2 strand method yesterday .. not as neat , more freestyle parting becuz of thinning in some areas. So to get a good foundation going, pls help me. Few questions, 1. should I interlock them after every wash or just Palm roll as you did ? 2. What product line do you use for shampooing, oiling & Shea butter ? 3. Do you use loc gel when retwisting or just leave it w the oil & Shea butter?

      Shee Mac I'm a brand new ,have soft hair,.like a Caucasian and I washed my hair after 2 weeks . The stink I could not bare. I used shea moisture products and tied a hair net on my head so my twist would not come loose. But a few did.took me,awhile but it's a patient journey,for this patient woman. I used Carlos daughter from root to the ends of my hair. My friend who works at a Sally 's says I did well. But I just know that I'm not good with my own hair and well . What should I hold the twist ends together. I purchased the plastic not rubber rubber brands today . I know backwards, right. I was had long hair and now my hair is neck length . I definitely don't have locktucian money. So I am doing what is Good for me. So,help please, I am using 2 strand twists.

    This what I want to do to my daughters hair, so i got a question do you have to constantly re-twist? Is this like dreads where you cant take it down? Because her hair is long I just want to grow it longer l and take it down when I wanna do a different style.

    • @kieshaarielle
      @kieshaarielle  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is the process I used to start his loc journey.
      Now, if you just want to grow her hair long but have this style; you will have to take it down ever so often to avoid it starting to lock. The hair usually start to really merge and lock around the 3 months mark.
      But to keep the hair looking neat before taking it down, then you would probably need to retwist it every 2-4 weeks.

    Do you not need to use a hair dryer ? Or when do you know that they’re totally dry ? Also my aunt was trying to retwist them and then have me sleep that way, that isn’t a correct method for them to dry right ?

    Hi! I have had my starter locs for two months now and it was started off with a crotchet hook because my hair was too fluffy. I washed them for the first time two weeks ago and tried to retwist the roots, but it doesn't stay put and unravels to it's original shape. Do you have any tips to share? Thanks 🌠

    • @kieshaarielle
      @kieshaarielle  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Look at the direction of the twists or coils and go in that direction. However, if you're still unsure of what direction it is after looking then try twisting in the direction you think it is.
      If the twist strands seems to tighten then you twist, then you are twisting in the right direction; but if the twist strands become loosened then you're going in the wrong direction
