Wanted the Bluetooth one to monitor pit temp during an overnight cook. Debated getting another regular dot as well but ended up not, the thermapens and regular dot's are 15% off right now!

If the temp on the grill is high enough it will. Just an extra light coat and cook around 350 degrees.
