My aunt is an esthetician and she said that celebrities get a lot of facials that help with anti-aging and helping keep their skin young and that’s what works more than plastic surgery.
Actually, frequent manipulation of the skin causes wrinkles, and facials often involve the application of hot or cold water, steam, and/or heavily scented products to the skin, all of which are damaging. My dermatologist told me never to have facials. And also not to use masks.
@viola4029 He didn't say, but I'd guess because they generally have fragrance which is bad for the skin. Especially for skin known to be sensitive like mine. Really, there's no good reason to use masks. They're a waste of money.
@viola4029 He didn't say, but, my guess is because they usually have a lot of fragrance. Leaving a heavily fragranced product on my sensitive skin for any length of time isn't a good idea. Also, they really do nothing for the skin.
It is very true that Celebs often talk about products that changed their skin but it's all the treatments that made them look the way they look. Ofc the products they use help as well. But I usually go for products recommended by you or my Dermatologist tbh.
I used to have so many steps and believed that all these products will make my skin better. Over the past few years my skin looked worse and worse and my pores were clogged. Then a few months ago I decided to try just a few steps : double cleanse, put on serum that has retinol and BHA and just a simple moisturizer. Literally 3 steps instead of putting on so much expensive products at one time. Surprisingly within 3 months my skin feels so much better. You don't need to put that much on your skin. Also sleep a lot helps as well.
People definitely believe that more expensive products are better. Which they may or may not be. It depends on the ingredients. People freak out when I point out to them that the first 4 ingredients of an expensive product, which are the majority of the product, are extremely mundane, cheap things like water, glycerin, petroleum jelly, mineral oil, etc. And that they're just paying for the name and fancy packaging.
I often seen vids of celebs saying ”idk if this works but my skin completely changed after this!!” and then I check it has a bit of glycerin and diamond dust when they used to have acne. Thats why I never pay attention anymore to what anybody uses unless its like a makeup item. I have sensitive dry skin. All skincare I use from Isntree besides my retinol and my skin is happy.
I just wanna thank you because ever since watching your channel I've learnt how to take care of my skin and my acne has been improving I'm acne free. Also thanks to your advice I've been able to reduce 50% of the scarring on my skin. So I really respect what you do because you tell us the truth and because of you I saved hundreds of dollars when I couldn't go to a dermatologist because I couldn't afford it.
My strategy is simple - I'm not rich, so I'll only follow people who respect that and come up with products and beauty regimes that are affordable for all. These celebs .... sure, if you have the money and you want to believe that the expensive products works better, make you feel better, go for it. But I'm disabled and a TNR volunteer for stray cats so every penny I can save goes to these poor cats - which makes me smile, which is the best beauty trick for us all. 😸
Also none of them have the most perfect skin either! I think that the very few influencers who really do have perfect perfect skin and make that their whole brand are just genetically blessed. But you can see when there are HD pictures of celebrities that they have big pores, congested skin, bumps under the foundation, hyperpigmentation marks that are usually all covered by makeup...and that makes me at peace in a way. Cause like if Kim Kardashian cannot have 100% smooth glassy skin, when she basically devotes her entire life and insane amounts of money to looking as perfect as possible, why would I or anyone else be able to do it? If most people only ever saw me in a full face of professionally done foundation + photoshop on top of that + in good lighting at all times they'd think I was insanely beautiful and had perfect skin too.
Yeah the majority of people do not have perfect skin. And that is absolutly fine. You do not need perfect skin to have a good job, good friends and good relationship etc. We are happy with our wrinkels and blemishes. And for the occasional need to look perfect we have Makeup.
Yrs ago waiting for a dermatologist was 6 months or longer. I now have a new derma office that is in my insurance network and the longest I ever had to wait was 2 weeks for an appt. Also if you call Monday mornings they have a lot of cancellations and I can usually get in that day.
I heard a rumour that many celebrities have done isotretinoin, and I also heard a rumour that some celebs and celebrities dermatologists micro dose isotretinoin long term. I have no idea if it’s true though.
Hello, Could you please make a video on microcurrent devices, ultrasound devices (like the Nuface one) and any kinds of facial devices and how they react with dental work? I had a dental crown with a root canal and it feels like the Nuface ultrasound device caused me some problems. Now I'm about to have an dental implant with titanium screw and I can't really find much informations about if I can be using some beauty devices and which to avoid, etc. Everyone just says to ask my dentist but I don't think my dentist knows anything about any facial devices, when I asked him last time, he told me ,,just don't use it,, 😂 So please if you have any experience with these things, can you make video about that? Thank you ☺
I don’t think it’s celebrities, it’s TH-camrs, tiktokers and instagrammers that push this stuff are given free product to push even if they don’t like them.
I don’t care nor wish to watch celebrities & their stupid skin care. I want to learn about skin care from people that really know about skin care. We all know that they all lie about it & about cosmetic procedures.
I wonder if there is some skincare that only celebrities or people who diy make their skincare can use. I say this because I discovered some ingredients just expire too quickly and would need too many preservatives to be practical. So fresh made batches of skincare? That would certainly not be publicly available for most people. LUSH is as close as if would get, but not going to do custom creations.
Have you ever reviewed any Megelin products? Their red light mask is a great price but I have no clue how to know if it's legit. Your dress is adorable 🌷
I mean long before celebrities marketing was and still is toxic AF and intentionally mislead. Its been a trillion dollar business for eons capitalizing off of insecurities that have been ingrained in us from the beginning of time . Its really sad if people don't know that; it's kind of common sense
I don't have a problem with celebs getting their fancy treatments, I have a problem when they are hiding it and lying to their fans. Their ego inpacts people, and especially young girls, self esteem and they don't care. That is what makes my blood boil and why I will NEVER buy anything from celebs. You can't trust any of them.
The problem is we should not have those options to change our appearance like plastic surgeries or cosmetic surgeries. They should be only for medical conditions as a reconstruction after an accident or any following medical situation. Not because you don't have the same freaking nose as someone else. Restrictions should be applied because there's so much people who have destroyed their face or body after having surgeries they did not need. Yes everyone can do whatever they want and botch themselves the way they want but it should be illegal for a surgeon to agree to do boob implants to a 18 yo girl or even doing fillers to a 22 yo individual. There is something immoral and not professional in all this.
Agree with all, just don’t think the image of Ariana Grande should appear when talking about celebrities open up about. Things they’ve done, since she is one that has done so many things and never talks about it
The only thing I disagree with is ‘celebrities have great genetics’ - that has been proven to be a lie in so so many cases. They have so much money and they can afford the best PS on the planet 🌍. I remember a meme with Kylie Jenner with a pic of her face before/after surgery saying: you were not born ugly, you were just born poor …lol Money nowadays can buy you beauty - it’s not genetics 🧬 😅
Some of them are gifts, like she said. "Companies will gift celebrities products hoping they will talk about them." If there's no contract signed there is no obligation, so really they are just giving free product.
@@Jennifer-pb9nd Not everything that is gifted to influencers is used in content, and not everything used in content can be claimed as tax deductions. The IRS has come down hard on influencers before for using too many things as tax writeoffs.
