    This song isn't generally thought of as one of Fleetwood Mac's hits, but it may very well be their best song in live performances. The pronounced base (guitar and drums), Lindsey's guitar solo, and Stevie's voice are incredible.

    1979. My mom and dad were at this concert. Either night 1 or 2
    2021. Their 41 yr old son is still jamming to this song

    Definitely another side to the Mac. Seen them live 3 times... anytime they finished with this... it really brought the crowd to their feet. It has everyone doing what they do best. McVie doing that tight bass... Mick tearing the hell out of those drums and the Buck with that solo! And if you have ever seen the other versions of this on the Tube... Stevie only gets better.

      I love both versions, but this one is just a smidgen better for me. Just raw and the crowd was going nuts! I saw this tour and Tusk is my favorite FM album but the Mirage tour was a bit better. They seemed a bit weary and unhappy on the Tusk tour.

      utbabee they were clearly smashed on the mirage tour and Stevie actually was too over the top in the mirage tour and talk about tired... Did u see the gypsy performance In the mirage tour? She had so many bags under her eyes it was like she was packing for a week long vacation

    If you only had one song to characterize Fleetwood Mac, this would be it. It captures the band's tightness (John/Mick backbeat), Stevie's darkness element and showmanship, Lindsay's overlays, Chris' keyboard skills and backup vocal prowess and the best of classic rock and a prelude to heavy metal. In addition to Stevie's Janice influence - it gets no better.

    Thanks for uploading this! I saw Fleetwood Mac on this tour in June 1980 at Wembley, right at the front. They were simply amazing. This was the first encore, before "Songbird" and after the set had finished with "Go your own Way". Stevie must rate as one of the greatest female rock singers - alongside Ann Wilson (Heart, Kate Bush and Pat Benatar.

      Much of the audience "reaction" was added in the studio. If you listen to all these videos from this disk, it becomes obvious, with each song's over the top audience reaction and participation. One you realize that, it becomes very distracting.

    To have been able to see them live 1975-1980. Being in the 2nd grade in 1975 was a little too young I think and concerts were a lot more druggy back then. Love this song and most Mac except for some of Lindsey's self indulgent tracks on Tusk.

      Thank you! Glad to see someone else noticed. This entire laserdisk concert has way overdone overdubbed audience reaction. On some of the songs its as if the Beatles reunited and joined them during the song. Even the shadows of the audience standing were added. And in this song, I am quite sure the bass was overdubbed as well. Obviously most viewers can't tell. To me, it is a distraction.

      It reminds me of the so-called British Invasion in the early and mid 60s, especially Beatles' performances on the Ed Sullivan Show, when it seemed like everyone in the audience was screaming. And, considering what's lost in the noise, it is a shame .

    Lindsey Buckingham I saw you in a Louisianna...zz topp was there. My youngest daughters name is Sarah. But I would sing Sarah and Kandra you are the poets in my heart! I am in love with Steve Tyler. I don't know what happened to the Tom Petty's. I can not comment. Way too painful.. But Steve got my daughter Sugar plum fairy off the streets where a BSD boy left her all alone. I live him.... And if he ever asked me to marry him I would say Y E S! God Bless the Angels! China Bike smashed eh. But your so right as this version of Sisters. Angel is great 79. By far the best Sisters. Many of the Tusk songs were better live. Just as that get goin in the studio they fade em out. Brown Eyes sha la la la. Some of Lindsay's too long. Lyndsey always paid homage to past Fleetwood Mac songs. Oh well 150mph. Green Manalishi even Hypnotized. With Buckingham/Nicks one of the underrated great bands live. The videos from Rumours were just Live versions of the song. Fleetwood Mac live 2cd set from 1980 its all there. I wish theyd release a live comp. It would be killer. The change for You make loving fun on stage excellent. World Turning with African drums. I'm so afraid. JUst killer live songs. addendum: Stevie Nicks songs are about being in love; yet the characters end up alone. SAD

    • @Rosalia24-i1n
      @Rosalia24-i1n 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      But Stevie's songs are NOT only about being in love! Actually most of her lyrics run different stuff just like Sister of The Moon that is about how Stevie felt she was sick and totally weak. But this also is a kind of ode to her friends (Robin, Christine, Sara Recor, Sharon) that formed a kind of sisterhood.

      Tempo is a little faster than the album version, but they were doing an encore at a huge arena. Gotta match the energy of the audience. Not disco, but the drum beat is a little similar to "Dreams" here.
