- Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, independent India's best-known soldier, has died; he was 94. Manekshaw spent his final days at a military hospital in Wellington; he had developed several medical complications. Manekshaw was affectionately called Sam Bahadur because of his association with the Gorkha Rifles. He died a little after midnight with his immediate family by his side.
This Persian community which is a microminority,has served mother india remarkably in almost all dimensions of a nation. Proud to have you People 😊

Cariaapa was also a Field Marshal and Pakistan also had many Field Marshals.

The Gandhi family was afraid that this real great man might overshadow them. They never gave him any respect. None was present at his funeral. They didn't even send Pappu to represent them.

to know that field marshal manekshaw passed away in wellington and now gen. Bipin Rawat also left his body not too far from there is quite painful. Maybe its god's place to bring back his bravest. Nonetheless, we miss them terribly and hold a special place for them in our hearts.
