I love how funny it is to see the picture of the Rauser Pilot. Because you know damn well he loves every last instance of the actual mayhem his planes end up causing, and hearing his own alarm just means he gets more toys to play with. That is the grin of "Oh, you should've just surrendered, now I'm gonna turn my plane into a nuke and start ramming people."
The heroic fanfare still plays even when you're plane is about to give out. It shows you're still in the fight just as good as before, building hype while you're still going even on a small speak of HP.
God I love the way that the health works in this game, just the concept of your character almost disassociating himself as he gets more damaged seems completely awesome to me.
"Pilot! This war is not one we started, and it's not one we can beat without courage and sacrifice. You have probably noticed that the Rauser has been equipped with a nuclear warhead imbedded into the hull. I think we both know that this will be a one-way mission. This bomb has been set in such a way that it will detect if the Rauser has "died", at which point it will automatically arm itself and explode. Your job is to fight off the swarms of planes, battleships, aces, and blimps coming your way, get above the enemy capital intact, enable your superboost, and... aim downwards. You are the best pilot we have, and we know that you are the only one capable of completing this mission. Your family will be safe, and you will be remembered forever. Go forth with courage, and fly with hope for the future!" *At Enemy Capital* *Superboost Enabled* 1:12
I like this version of the song. It’s much more intense, echoing as if the pilot is near passing out, the alarm blaring throughout. shame you only hear portions of it.
Honestly, the way it's done in-game is much better, at least for the game's purposes- from a gaming perspective, it's an audio cue that you're in an 'oh fuck' moment, because it's quite jarring and I swear the game overlays it slightly differently than these versions. Beyond that, it really sells the seat of your pants gameplay- you get these amazing, natural and flowing highs whenever you're in mortal peril, alongside an interesting dilemma: do you use this as an impetus to escape this peril and keep at it, or do you switch gears, adopt a 'this is it, this is where I die' and just try and make it last as long as you can to enjoy the rare but delightful change in the music? There's just something about it popping up naturally that has a quality that these videos, as great as they are, just can't capture (through no fault of their own, of course)
@@SnprMk7 I think you are mistaken with your dilemma. This music is when your pilot is right in the zone where they transcend all sanity or logic to become the greatest luftrausers of all time.

"Oh, look. You've almost got me." The pilot quietly cackles and breaks into manic laughter. "But you think I'm the only one?" Rauser hunts, rauser catches, rauser kills. Rauser is invincible, rauser is forever. You don't fuck with a rauser.
GOD just the RUSH of you surviving on a sliver of helath, four aces right on your tail, dogeing every bullet JUST RIGHT, thats i why i play luftrausers, for those moments where you do it JUST in time
Looking at the game music the injured versions is just another track that comes in ONTOP of 4-6 other tracks that make each song in game. In otherwords it's imposbile to pull our own versions of injured songs but we could make them using a sound mixer. Anyone know a free sound mixer? I want to upload injured Assault Rauser.
Can you do something with the "Grizzly Hugs" Loadout please? (Armor, Super Boost, Missiles. Yes I know, weird name.) its basically the "How to Train you Rauser" Trailer's Theme converted into a Rauser Theme. The only instance of this track on TH-cam atm has it's drums messed up...
Engine's melting out of its casing. Guns are so hot from constant firing that the paint is setting on fire. The pilot has been shot three times, and there is a gas leak in the cockpit. The pilot hits the afterburner and noses into a dive. Death comes from the sky.
The somewhat messy stomping of what should be a well organized march in the background really sell the feeling.
