    I spent my honeymoon there two years ago. Price was reasonable and it is a very nice hotel for the philippines. Walking distance to the Ayala mall is nice. Ofc you can walk in the opposite directions and get something to eat locally and save some money too.

    looks great there. I've just booked at the Cebu R Hotel for 4 weeks. stayed there last time I was in Cebu.

    As a comparison, in Los Angeles, CA $52 will barely get you a motel 6 with a room no where near as nice or about 1/2 the size.

    The Quest is certainly one of the better hotels in Cebu. Its location is good too, especially if it's your 1st time to Cebu. There's plenty of hotels to choose from here, I like this, the Elizabeth and Harolds. The Parklane is a bit tired looking compared to these. Cheers

    That was the FIRST hotel I stayed in when I came here in 2014 and LOVED IT. I came on here to see if you have done a video about the resent articles for Americans to stay out of Southern Cebu? I am headed to that hotel again soon.

    Looks nice, but I think we'll stick with Parklane across the street. Rooms are a bit nicer and the prices have been the same as Quest and Mandarin whenever I check. They have a nice dining area and a lovely pool that is partially under cover. If you are there during Sinulog, you can watch their dance team a couple of times a day. Plus, it is a quick walk to Ayala via the jeepney terminal.

    • @Lifebeyondthesea

      i'll have to check out Parklane in the future. thanks for the info.

    I paid double that at the Marriott for about a 14 day stay there . The Quest is almost a rock throw from the Marriott and your view was awesome.

    Hey Henry, I stayed there in March 2015. I booked through Booking.com. I was a decent morning Breakfast Buffet. The fruit and juice was so so. The food was good. The room was nice.
    Next year when I am in Cebu I will stay at the Mandarin located across the street so I can try it.
    Ayala Mall is a very short walk away, down the street, turn right, a few blocks, it is on your left across the street. I walked there daily with my Fiancee to get food.
    I will also visit Dumaguette looking at a house for my Fiancee and I to live once I retire. Can you recommend hotel in Dumaguette?

    Great video I booked Quest through their website and got their red hot deal and they gave me the corner room like yours for 47.00 plus 500p food and beverage credit per day...I just had to pay 50p per day to use the really nice breakfast buffet as the was the cost was 550p....So it's good to check their web site before booking with the travel agents

      i just recently looked at my confirmation email.. i actually booked this room through www.kayak.com for that room. i had confused it with a booking i did for my flight to california.

    Happy memories, thanks Reekay - I stayed there just a month ago for a couple of weeks in total of which a few nights were spent in one of those corner rooms - awesome view and light. Thanks to the very same Brian for the recommendation. I paid $60 for first few nights and then on extending got a better rate of $50 per night ... shampoo included 😁

    I like the Quest hotel. I have stayed there many times. You got a better price than I did. If I am traveling for a long period of time I might stay just down the street at the Red Planet. The rooms are smaller and no pool or refrigerator but the price is better and a good bathroom and good Wifi.

    Nice room for the price. Hotel prices are getting higher in the Phil. Does the rate include buffet breakfast?

    • @Lifebeyondthesea

      depends on who you book through. be sure to ask if it's included.

      lol, I was asking if you had breakfast included in the room rate you paid or not.

    • @Lifebeyondthesea

      on mine, no. i paid for that separately. a bit overpriced (about $9), but a decent buffet when included with the room rate. :)

      We've stayed there before too back in 2015. Really good deal for the price and we got the buffet included in the room. Over all not a bad deal and the staff were very very friendly and accommodating, but I guess thats everywhere in the PI lol.

    Might be a little high for the Philippines. I doubt if you could find an equivalent room in LA anywhere near that price.

      @Lifebeyondthesea  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      true. years ago i spent the night at a cheap motel near LAX to catch a flight.. a total dive and yet it was about $65 usd. a much bigger bang for your buck in the PH.

    Nice review! I'll be in Cebu for a few days in early 2017 to attend a wedding. I would like to stay at a hotel with a spa/bathhouse or at least close to one that gives great massages and complete amenities like saunas, jacuzzis, whirlpools. Any recommendations?

    • @Lifebeyondthesea

      it varies according to peak season and promos, but about $55/night is about average for the room in the video. they also have larger family rooms and executive rooms for more.

    • @Lifebeyondthesea
      @Lifebeyondthesea  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes. i was just there both before and after my trip to calif. stay alert on your wallet, use cargo pants with zipper pockets and you should be fine. cebu can be a fun place to enjoy. just avoid the 'carbon market' as it's got a lot of people/crowds and pickpockets. but the rest of cebu.. plenty of places to enjoy, just do a google search on 'cebu places to see'.

      ironically enough, i was at red door and they ousted me from there because at the time it wasn't "covid compliant". i stayed there just the 2-nights and it's, "okay".. nothing fancy. just functional. they do have hot water though.
