Very informative video! Thank you! What kind of crash bars are you using? Are they heavy? And can the fairings be removed without removing these protectors? Thank you!
Thanks! I use these bars: outbackmotortek.com/product/honda-crf-300rally-crash-bars/ No, they are not heavy, but I haven't weighed them. Yes, the fairings can be removed without uninstalling the crash bars.
The strap was burnt and ripped once when looped around the frame tube below the passenger's peg. After that, I chose to loop the strap around the factory metal "ring", which is also close to the exhaust, but without any burning problem so far.
Looks cool! A modular and customisable arrangement is definitely the way to go and mixing and matching brands can work if you do the research and think it out like you did, but in the end it's also often a 'suck it and see' process that gets refined with experience. On my Crosstourer I use Mosko Moto panniers mounted to a Givi frame, and use an SW Motech rack extension, their dry bags, and 8 litre side bags on the crash bars (which can also act as buffers if the bike falls over). I tried a Mosko Moto tank bag but it was too small so I use a custom set up based around a special bag cover I had made by a film industry gear company that gives me a lot of variability on the tank packing. I did add a Mosko Moto clear pouch for the electronics in heavy rain being a large screen truck GPS which is powered by a powerbank. Funny, I was thinking today how nice it would be to go off-road on a little bike! 😃👍🏻
Thanks! Nice to hear from you! It sounds like you've done a great job with Crosstourer's luggage! Maybe the time has come to pull the trigger and get a little off-road bike (CRF300 Rally) for yourself, as I did! 🙂

Great video - THX a lot 😎👍🏻 - I would also be interested in a video with the rest of your setup at your CRF. would you maybe do that for us Thanks so much 🤩✌🏼
I am glad you liked it; thank you! 😍 - I will change the OEM tires in the coming days, and after testing the new ones, I will probably make a video showing accessories (including the new tires) and mods I've done so far.
Yes, indeed, but I believe it can withstand the weight. Given that this bike is designed to carry a second rider that weighs, for instance, 75 kg, why not the luggage weight?
@@MotonJoy Yes correct but the weight of the passenger rests on the part of the frame under the saddle / which has a different structure than the back of rear rack - You have to consider that traveling off-road has completely different stresses compared to traveling on asphalt....don't forget that the MOTORCYCLE is driven with the front and the weight of the luggage has a very negative effect. The example that I can give you to explain myself better, its think of PORSCHE and how much electronics it has to counteract the weight of the rear engine positioned AFTER the rear wheel axle...The handling and responsiveness of a car that has the engine positioned CENTRALLY within the wheel axles. /// The weight of the luggage that you will put on the end of the saddle will allow you to ride much better .... try to imagine carrying a 50 kg girl behind you on the saddle, or to carry her on the luggage rear rack ... think how different it will be to ride your bike with the same weight but put in a different way / put a little weight on REAR RACK Sorry for my english (I'm Italian) I just wanted to give you some advice ENJOY and Ride Safe Mate !
Thanks for the detailed explanation. I appreciate it! I understand 100% of everything you write in your comment. I agree with you. The truth is that too many CRF300 L or Rally owners out there use luggage systems mounted on the rear part of their bikes, carrying heavy loads. I understand the risk of damaging the frame, but it is a risk I have to take if I want to use my Rally for traveling purposes than for just daily rides. In any case, it is wise for everyone to ride in less rough terrains at a slower pace when the bike is overloaded. Always be safe my friend! Enjoy your rides!
Thank you for showing everything in such detail! Made me realise that I don't need the extra loops for all four hooks on my CFR :)
Glad I helped!
excellent explanation, with even the sites where to buy the luggage .. BRAVO!!
Thank you! 💚💚

Any issues with the Mosko Reckless 10L touching the exhaust on the CRF 300 Rally? Thanks a lot!!

@@MotonJoy That would be great but the country I'm living in right now doesn't even allow you to ride in the forests! 🤦🏻♂
It's a pity! At least in Greece, we have no such restrictions.

That is a pretty extensive setup 👍 Do you still have the VFR or is the replacement?
Yep!
I still have the VFR, I wouldn't be able to part with her.
They are both great machines!
