What a fun chef knife build! It was a pleasure doing a collaboration with you!

Just for future reference, you can grind the wood and metal pieces of the handle at the same time. That will give you a closer fit for less trouble.

Nate, that knife is *gorgeous*! I love damascus steel, and you picked the perfect blade design to show off Kyle's work. The green burl for the handle was an excellent choice; complements the blade without overwhelming it.

As a retired machinist who has seen more accidents that I wanted to see I would strongly recommend you start clamping little pieces of steel into a good toolmakers vise. Clamp the vise to the drill press table, so if while drilling the drill "grabs" the piece you are drilling won't injure you.

Miss hearing "welcome back to the workshop" on tkor, but glad to see you're still going strong!

So beautiful! I really enjoy watching you create things; you explain it all very well which helps me - who knows nothing at all about these things - understand every step of the process.

I love ow you say 'meteorite' in such a casual way, not giving away how insanely expensive it is.

I though you used resin for the handle based on the thumbnail, I had no idea that wood could come in that marbled green color

That green stained burl is super cool. Where do you buy that? More interestingly, how can I make it? I've tinkered with wood stains but never seen anything that could penetrate very deeply. Vacuum chamber experiment time?
