    What do you think about the ATN x-sight 5 scopes?

  • @dirtatv
    @dirtatv 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I love the idea of 30x-36x scopes
    But my question is the thickness of the reticle at 14x-16x power for NRL22 if it would be too thin ( small ) to see clear ?

    • @paramounttactical
      @paramounttactical  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It’s not. You’ll be able to see the crosshairs just fine. You understand the reticle on a 30X or even a 100x FFP optic would be the same size at 15x as a 25x or 20x max magnification optic right?
      Just because the max magnification is larger, it doesn’t make the reticle at lower magnifications smaller compared to a lower powered scope.
      The beauty of FFP optic is 1 mil is always 1 mil. Sure, you get into the lowest magnification on any of them and you’re not going to be able to use the holdoffs but the crosshairs are always useable.
      Thanks for watching!

    What do you think of the shorter eye relief (3” - 3.5”)? Most other scopes are in the 3.5” to 4” range.

    • @paramounttactical
      @paramounttactical  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I don’t know that’s true. Which ones are 4”?
      We’re a Nightforce and Zero Compromise dealer and the 5-25 ARACR is 3.6”, the ZC527 is 3.5”. I run a couple other optics and I’m not sure off the top of my head what the eye relief is but he really speaking and to answer your question, I think it’s irrelevant.
      When reviewing, testing, or even using an optic I don’t even look for the stated eye relief measurement. I think it’s the most irrelevant data point on a scope.
      Does it work well? Does it have a generous eye box? What’s the exit pupil? Is the eye relief forgiving at most magnifications? Those are the things that matter regardless of the technical data. What I can say is the S3 is great. The eye relief is very generous even at max magnification and the performance has been flawless. The only negative I can even come up with (and it’s not even fair as it’s so subjective) is it’s not my favorite scope aesthetically. 🤷‍♂️
      Thanks for watching!

    No way you can put the words "ZEISS" and "For the money" together. That is about like saying "Ferarri" and "For the money" no matter what other words fill in the space between those words it will always be wrong and or not true! You might as well have said the words "Unprotected", "Male Prostitute", and " "For the monry" no matter what it just will not ring true! LOL Normaly when we use things like "best for the money" we are trying say that some under dog brand is punching well above it's weight but Zeiss, Schmindt & Bender, and Swarovski are traditionaly the best of the best money be damned!

    • @paramounttactical
      @paramounttactical  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I hear a lot of generalizations. Do you know anything about the Zeiss S3? Do you understand it’s the first of its kind for Zeiss. You’re just making yourself sound dumb and ignorant. 🤷‍♂️Do you understand that the 6-36 is on par and likely better with better features than the Nightforce ATACR 7-35 but at over $1000 less? Of course that question is rhetorical because I know you don’t know anything about the S3 line and you’re just talking out of your ass. But hey… thanks for stopping by.

    • @buckaroobonsi555
      @buckaroobonsi555 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not the Zeiss S3. I have read about it but not had the chance to use one yet. I understand there are people with more money than brains that will drop $10K+ to build and equip a 22LR to shoot paint cans at 736 yards and still miss. th-cam.com/video/zs7-7hGM5D8/w-d-xo.html That overly expensive exercise in futility could have been easily handled with for 1/10th the cost with a Ruger American in a centerfire cartridge from Walmart and a $400 to $600 Arken optic. Who knew the ellusive art of hiting paint cans was so deserving of stupid sums of money!
      I understand that the S3 has a lot of elevation and windage adjustment with out the need of a seperate TARAC that might be needed with some other combo's in some hunting and competition situations. I understand that $2200 to $2500 might be budget priendly and cheap to some but it is not even close to being so friendly as to call it "Best for the money" with out carefuly qualifing that statement. It is not some value minded underdog or upstart which was my point from the begining. Now had Zeiss decided to build that and bring to market for $699 or even $899 I would be doing cart wheels and signing it's praises myself. I have been competing since 1982 and the current price for rifles, optics, and gear compared to wages and the buying power of the dollar have to be the worst it has been since Jimmy Carter was President. So you will excuse me if I have an opinion slightly different than a young upstart like yourself. Oh and great video very informative even if I disagree with the value judgment.
      I would expect someone that has made some excellent video's on actual budget friendly optics as well as everything else to understand. I thought you where an NCO in the US Army but maybe I misread you. If so I appologize. I likewise thought you where a family man. I must have assumed to many things but that is why I thought you would understand the "value" of a dollar. I watched your video and did not think you made a compelling case for the "Best Value" at the street price I can get one of these at. Since I have not had the chance to use one yet I only have the case you made on your channel for it to go buy. The magnification on each is sub standard by most standards today in the compettiion world outside of rim fire competition. 20 years ago 36X would have been considered more than enough but today a lot of guys are running 10X-50X optics on rifles. Sure a lot of "tactical" guys and PRS guys 4-25X is enough but that market is pretty crowded in the $2000 to $700 price point.
      Suprised you would get so butt hurt by someone comenting on the meaning of words and phrases as used in standard English. Someone needs to think about cutting the dose back on the TRT or taking some anger managment classes! Nothing I said was so inflamator or degrading as to warrant your reaction. Ignorance is easy to toss about. I assure you I am well educated, well expeinced and well lived. Maybe some Whim Hoff breath work or yoga breath work might help.
      P.S. I did not mean to provoke you the first time around! LOL P.P.S. If something is wrong in your life or with your family or you where just having a bad day I appologize.

      @@buckaroobonsi555 cool story bro, but "expensive" is subjective; and so is "value". When using the market for what is par for the course for scopes with these features, it is safe to say that Zeiss has the most "value" per dollar. That is all
