Thanks for checking these guys out, one of my favorite bands that I’ve found this year when I found out you haven’t heard any of the singles I was like “yeah that has to change” so I showed you their most popular song lol glad you checked it out even though it’s not really your thing
Most of the parts of the song you were talking about having weird time signatures were straight 4/4, the entire song is mostly 4/4. The same pace as the chuggy part, but he drums around the whole bar not just on the 2 and 4. II is a lot like Vlad from Jinjer in that way, sometimes they make their parts sound a lot more complicated than they really are. Even through the entire break it's still 4/4. The end of the song is 4/4 as well, but slightly slower. And you referred to the bit at the end as being different, but he is repeating lyrics from the early verses almost verbatim.
That’s cool. On a first listen it sounds super intricate and weird (in a cool way) definitely didn’t think it was 4/4. Fooled my ears haha talented band that’s for sure

effing vibed with this so much. god tier sonic material. so glad I came across this video.
Sleep Token is the modern day Pink Floyd
Not really. Id say bands like Porcupine Tree and Pendragon are a lot more similar to Pink Floyd than this band.
@@MrCrazyjoe259 fair enough
fvkin enjoyed it a super lot. alpha tier energy. 🤘
who else is getting meshuggah vibes off this band?
The drummer has been going mad
@christianlgrey Sleep token is pretty sick they had a really funky sound at the end of this jam lol.
Same here, never really got into sleep token, i think it’s his voice, not that it’s bad it’s SO GOOD but not really for me,,i love their aesthetic tho
If the ending of this song was its OWN band, I'd have it on repeat. The style of the end fits his vox so much more than the heavy elements.
That ending gave me issues and electric Callboy vibes lmao it was an alright song but the poppy stuff at the end was not that bad🔥🔥

All the songs I've heard of them sound so different so far lol
It's like they're 3 or 4 different bands
its all 4/4
honestly the only song by this band that I have enjoyed thus far lol
I'm in the same exact boat, this song was the only song I would consider listening to again, guess their sound just isn't it for me.
you should make a video on denis stoff's new band the serpent's tears they released a song called symbol of hope 🔥🔥🔥🔥 @theserpentstears
