The best part of all of this is how quiet and composed Hotch stays. He never raises his voice, never shows anger.

If this lawyer was smart, he would have put Morgan on the stand rather than Hotch. Dear lord, an ex-lawyer whose job now is to get in someone's head and predict what they're going to do next. Tsk-tsk.

S-171 Cam Well, a lot of people think what he said about profiling, that it's intellectual guesswork. No one's really at fault for assuming that though, it's not an exact science. And CBS makes this merry band of seven look REAL good, or if you prefer, these seven people are exceptionally good at their jobs and beyond. They're not among the norm either way. But this scene is still as awesome as I first watched it XD

Well Hotch got himself removed. The actor, Thomas Gibson, had apparently kicked one of the producers, repeatedly, and as a result of this being the third or fourth instance of getting physical. They had stopped giving him chances and fired him on sight. He was his own death. And he also created issues with the story itself, since they already had pre-written all his lines. And thus now, created issues with the whole cast, and more importantly how they're gonna work out a character who was there for the first two Season 3 episodes.

@@chayparker8604 Reid often lets his own lack of understanding of the human condition to get in his way. At least, at this point in the series. He’s great with facts and statistics, but early on, he didn’;t understand how to integrate statistical knowledge with the emotional aspect of human nature. Reid may have been the best profiler by the time the show ended, but for the entirety of his time on the show, Hotch was the most effective.

there are times when I watch criminal minds and see Hotch always so serious and there was a time where I saw him heartbroken after losing the woman he loved as well as almost losing his son. but there was never a time like this that Hotch made me laugh in court when he put that lawyer in his place go Hotch show him who's boss LOL

  • @Mama_Badazh

I love the fact he started out his speech with something that could be easily proven. He rolls into other things that could also be proven. Then, as the councilor continues to be an ass, he finishes off by humiliating him. He not only makes his point clearly, but he also gets some satisfaction because Hotch was, once upon a time, a prosecuting attorney.
    I love the man.
