The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited a petting farm at the University of Ulster on a day of engagements in Derry-Londonderry.
William held a snake whilst Kate held a tarantula named Charlotte.

I love how she and William interact with each other, you can tell under everything they're still best friends. Her challenging him to hold the snake and him going, "No, I don't mind snakes, I really don't!" And when offered to hold the tarantula and she accepts, you can hear William challenging her, going, "Oh, YOU wanna hold the tarantula? Oh go on then!" Love their teasing and ribbing each other even while remaining professional, it just puts everyone else around them at ease you can tell.

Prince William and Catherine are so relaxed that they put others at ease. Catherine looked GREAT in the turtleneck and suit. She killed it! Prince William is handsome as ever. I give him credit, because I wouldn’t have handled a snake. Although, he seemed to stand far back when Catherine held the tarantula. They are such a lovely couple. You’ve got to love their manner and how they interact with others. Nothing fake or forced about them. God bless the future king and Queen consort. 😍🇺🇸😷

Doris. The snakes were a walk in the park. Compared to the Bird eating spider I had to hold. Snakes are warm and dry. The spider terrified me.

She wears the wrong clothes to suit her body shape to start with. Then her sloppiness (trouser hems trailing on the ground, label tags still hanging off the clothes, shoes too big for her foot size) adds to her general lack of style.

Yes she does have the most gorgeous skin. Typical English rose. I saw her in the flesh in 2014 on their tour of Australia. She was unbelievably tall, lithe and athletic with lovely long legs and fabulous skin. Even more gorgeous up close in the flesh. Even her photos do not do her justice at all.

I really don't think I could hold a tarantula, so my respect to Duchess Catherine. I could handle a snake of that size, but still, the first thing Duke William said was that George would be sorry to have missed this. Thinking of his family, and interacting so naturally with people, as did Catherine. I very much admire these two, and i'm an American. When they visit this country later this year, they will be welcomed with well-behaved and happy crowds, thrilled to see them.
