  • Simple daily activities like breathing, exercise, eating well, and spending time with friends can improve one's well-being, but people get distracted and pulled in different directions from these. When bad things happen, it's easy to see oneself as a victim and have others justify those feelings, but one should not give others permission to feel bad and instead encourage forgiving others for one's own benefit. Staying angry only poisons oneself while forgiveness lifts a weight and makes life easier. Anger and hatred turn into diseases that can kill, so it's important to be self-aware of what to hold onto and let go of. People should avoid judging others for their trauma, as everyone experiences it differently, and take suicide more seriously by listening instead of telling others to toughen up, as death is final. Near-death experiences give perspective on mortality, though death remains a taboo topic even at funerals.
