I suffered 15 years with acne and finally took the plunge and took Accutane for 6 months. I haven't had a pimple in 4 years, it changed my life.

Hey Zoe I had commented on your last vid about the protein. I’d say cut out the artificial protein for 3-4 weeks and see if anything changes. I still have a great balance of sweet treats *typing this while eating a kitkat chunky* :) and my skin has been great since cutting out the artificial protein. Giving you love and support as I know how tricky it is. You want a good balance of trying to figure out what helps but also not making life miserable! Lots of love girl. You’re amazing and you’ll find the solution I’m sure of it❤

Contraception is a big thing that can mess with your skin! I’ve always struggled with acne if changed onto certain pills etc! The only thing that works for me is being on the Yasmin pill it clears within a few months.

I had such similar skin issues and put off Roaccutane for years and I’m so sorry I did cause it was the best decision ever!!! You only hear the horror stories and never really from all the people it was a lifesaver for, I got really dry skin and lips but that was bearable and it was the best medicine ever so pls don’t fear it xx

Zoe my son was on roaccutane and honestly it was the best thing he did for his skin. There are some side effects, dry skin on the lips was bad for him but for others not so. You do also have to be careful in the sun, wear protection all the time. I’m sure if you go on it you will be told all this but give it some thought as my son has not had any breakouts since being on it, it really was the best thing he did.

Roaccutane is amazing! I waited 15 years until I finally went on it at the age of 31! 3 years on and I have the freedom of clear skin! Even after a pregnancy it managed to stay clear. Highly highly recommend and a low dose to minimise any symptoms. Honestly the only symptoms I got were dry lips and a dry nose. OH and also my HAIR went completely grease free! I could go up to 2 weeks without washing it, best side effect ever! That went back to normal as soon as a stopped but was SO NICE while it lasted! So it’s not all bad! I was running and crossfitting throughout without any problems xx

So worth seeing if you are taking anything what’s in it as progesterone only cause it for me! Xx

Hey Zoe, You can try the Fage 0% yoghurt in the overnight oats as an alternative to the protein powder. It contains 10g of protein per 100g so is a great alternative to the vegan protein powder xx

Hi Zoe, I would recommend Vitamin B3 (Niacin) flush. That vitamin helps to clear up skin issues as it is essential for the body. I would say get the flush version and start at 25mg and go from there. Your tea and biscuits wouldn’t be causing acne. It’s important to identify the root cause of it. So is it hormonal - this can be down to lack of minerals and vitamins or toxins being recirculated due to the liver not being given the nutrients it needs. So the skin will purge these toxins out. It could be that there is an overgrowth of bacteria or mould or candida in the body and pathogens can release toxins. Make sure to drink plenty of water, electrolytes, test for any nutrient deficiencies and a gut health test. You can also support your liver with eating cruciferous veggies and lessening your toxin load from ultra processed foods and chemicals etc. I hope this helps.

Hi Zoe, sorry another suggestion I’m sure you’re overwhelmed with all the skin suggestions! 😂 I found using a silk pillow really helps my breakouts I used to get spots all on whichever side of my face I slept on. Also, I cut out all my skincare other than weleda skin food and a dab of E45 cream. Random but it’s been working and I’ve noticed the main triggers for my skin are face wipes, too much caffeine and also salt!

Have a look at where you get the most breakouts and then check it against a face acne map. So for example: acne around the chin area is hormonal so it might be worth getting a female hormone blood test done xx

Ever since I came off the pill, microgynan, I started getting symmetrical spots on my jawline, some cystic, some blackheads. Very odd as that part of my face never gets oily, so I knew it was coming from something internal, hormones or gut health. I suffered for so long covering it up with make up until I went to my gp who gave me duac gel. It changed my life, it’s the antibiotic clyndamicin with benzoyl peroxide. You put it on specific areas and can use it long term, I use about half a pea size every other night. A lot less harsh than roaccutane which can cause joint and liver problems as well as depression.

On the matcha - if you have a milk frother, mix the matcha and a small amount of milk to get it frothy! Ice + your milk + syrup then add your matcha froth! You also need waaaaaay more matcha

matcha is expensive to grow as it needs to be constantly in the shade to grow that super green colour and is imported from Japan. If you do find you want to really start making it often I would recommend buying ceremonial grade matcha which is more expensive but much sweeter and better for you as cheaper matcha can contain more lead and is typically made for baking. Also when you make it with hot water instead of blending the powder straight into the milk it does come out more bland than if you blend the powder, agave ad milk together like you would a smoothie. i much prefer it that way as you get a stronger matcha taste

It’s NOT the biscuits in the morning!!! It’s the spa swim / sauna at the gym. I have adult acne and mine got horrendous when I switched from PureGym to a gym with spa/sauna. I also eat biscuits in the morning and had no bad effects on my skin at all. You are similar you started that gym with same thing. You need to look at what you changed and that’s what you changed.

Hi a saw you write it is spa/swim/sauna,,,,this not right beacuse sauna is good to open the pores in skin,,and swim helps to activity,,but you many means the clorin in wather? Clorin not good for skin but Zoe have this acne genetich,,,not everyone in family needs to have same gebetichs but this problem Zoe have in long time but a dont not when and how many years she struggle with this,,,and nothing else help,,its necessary with medicine on her problems,,,
