Prior to joing the army, I worked as a milkman for 9 months to learn to wake up early and exercise early in the morning.
My boss was a good guy, a bit sensitive at times, but a good mate. He decided that I should join the police and was badgering me many mornings to join the police.
One early morning, I was delivering milk bottles, jumping hedges and delivering more milk bottles and then found a car number plate beside the road.
I came back to the milk van and offloaded my empty bottles, with the number plate stuffed down my thermal jacket. I said to Bob, my Boss, "Here, I followed your advice and went to the local big police station to find out about joining up."
He was very impressed. He asked me. "How did you get on?" I replied. "Well, they told me to got out and collect car number plates. So I did."
He became very impressed and asked me. "How many did you get?" I replied. "Not very well. I only got one."
He looked at me very concerned. "Only one?"
I quickly took out the number plate from my jacket, and said. "Yeah. This one."
He chased me as far as he could. 😁 He wouldn't speak to me for hours 😂

My son inlaw is a police constable. He has admitted to me that once he puts on his uniform - he feels the power of it. He admires himself in shop windows and changes character.
These two seem to have the same self aggrandisation.
My wife, a retired teacher, believes that nearly all school bullies go into the Police Force, the Military, of the Prison Service, so they can carry on bullying in adult life, but now with official permission and legal backing. Or into a life of crime, which isn't much different from being a cop, anyway.
Trouble is.... 99% of the time, she says "I need your details" and people fall for it and give them to her. This is why people need educating to know they do not need to, especially when only doing street photography.

Why does the law state that vehicles must display their registration plates yet the police think that the public aren't allowed to look and take note of them ? crazy .

I remember Koleeberks audited Horsham police station and was confronted by a PC who had just parked her personal vehicle in the car park. A viewer checked the reg and found out its MOT had expired three months prior! It’s funny the police say it’s not a service when a member of the public checks vehicles are compliant and apparently you should just focus on your own car, but when the police do it, it’s a different matter entirely. More hypocrisy from the police.

As a retired cop after 30yrs service ( retired 2012 ) it is extremely apparent that these two officers know very little about LAW.

My neighbour is disabled and he suffers badly with his mental health. He was getting bullied by the local crack heads who would come to his house with crow bars and threaten to hurt him if didn't give them money. One day, the crack heads teamed up and was trying to intimidate him by knocking on his door and telling him they would hurt him. I got fed up and I called the police. Their exact words to me were has the person actually broken in. I said no. The officer told me to call back when they had/ when they hurt him only then could they intervene. When I see these wet wipes approach you for absolutely nothing, it sickens me to the core. This is why we need auditors.

what pisses me off about the police is when they continue to accuse you of doing something over and over and the thing they are claiming you did isn't even illegal anyway, so even if you said "yes officer i am writing down your registration numbers " there's absolutely nothing they can do about it anyway, also they dumped their car in the middle of a carriageway with blue lights for a none emergency because they felt like it, proof yet again that the police are above the law, the entire police force attitudes towards all members of the public in recent years is absolutely disgusting, imagine employees of any other service or business speaking to you like this and harassing you like this, THEY would find themselves in court, but when the police do it they are cleared of all wrong doing.
We can't take photos of personal cars, which all we can see is tax and MOT, but they can take photos of us and have access to all our details.

I didn't realize there was a law in this country as to what you can and can't write down whilst out in public. I would have asked the officers to quote which law that is.
That would be the Public Order Act 1986 section 5 subsection 1(b) displays any writing, sign or other visible representation which is threatening, abusive or insulting. Of course, Reggie wasn't doing any of that 😂😂😂
