Twice has been around for nearly 8 years and yet they still find ways to surprise me. Queens, for real
i think the name "twice" is sooo fiting for them, like at first you may brush them off thinking its just mindless cute concepts but when you actually take the time to get to know them and their discography, you can't help but become a fan. it's just what happened to me, as soon as they debuted i didn't really care much for them but when i gave them a second chance they became one of my top groups ever
I feel this so hard. I became a kpop fan in 2016 and I thought their songs were catchy and could easily admit that they were already iconic but I didn't really care for them much. It wasn't until after Knock Knock and Likey that I really became a fan and they've become one of those groups that I go to whenever I feel down.
One of their old chants was "Think about it TWICE" so Sana legit just contradicts that by saying "Don't think about it twice".. Their name fits perfectly because I had to give their debut 2 listens to like it. lmao

Twice is one of those groups that the first time I listened to I thought was just ok. Then, it hit me and now I love them. So glad to see you checking more of their songs. Also, they are really good with their b-sides. And yes, the girl you liked is Momo! She is an amazing dancer.

It took a while for me to enjoy what twice was giving but as I heard more songs I slowly got addicted, but this song was definitely different and I loved this track so much right away! Also Momo Stan, she was EATING this up

Truth. You can't always figure out a group on the first or second listen, or even the fifth sometimes. Depends on the tracks you try and your mood in the moment. It took me many months to come around to TWICE, and now they're my favorite.
The important thing is everyone has their own favorites with them for their own reasons. Most of my favorites are from their B-sides.
There are several other KPOP groups that people rave about that I just don't get, and that's okay. They're just not my thing.
We gotta all take the mindset of "You do you." Find your happy place wherever it is. It's a big playground. There's enough room for all of us :) Welcome to enjoying TWICE!

Totally understandable. I didn’t get into Twice until Feel Special. Then you just kinda learn that TWICE really just puts you in a good mood. It isn’t for everyone, but their music is def for positivity. Take your time. If you’re ever looking for recs, you’ve got a whole fandom of ONCE to help you along the way!

They played a lot with their vocals these last 2 years (?) Eyes Wide Open, Taste of Love, Formula of Love albums showcased their vocal abilities as well as through their recent Japanese full albums (Celebrate, Perfect World). Their lower registers was utilized so well in their Japanese albums.

Hey Caitlin sorry you had to face some problematic Onces who brought negativity to your channel. As a die-hard Twice fan myself I know their music is not for everybody, just like some other kpop groups or just kpop in general isn't for everyone. I also know some people have different relationships to songs, praising some and possibly skipping others which is okay. Someone's favourite song might be someone else's least favourite song and that is totally fine. Kpop is all about uniting cultures around the world and spreading the power of music, and as a foreigner myself I know this to be true. Again, sorry you had to face some negativity but I hope you're doing well now and keep posting your reactions because you are amazing, regardless if we share the same opinion and likes.

MinguinMina's helpful guide to twice released 4 months ago is quite informative about the members, their personalities and talents, and some songs, and is an overall detailed guide about them, would recommend 10/10!~ it is quite long tho, but its the best guide out there definitely, and take your time with the albums and bsides, they wont go away kek

the guide by minguinmina is a pretty good recent one, it is however almost an hour long, if you prefer a shorter one, I think the one by honeybear is pretty decent

I sense a momo bias (at least for this mv). And yes very happy you gave them another chance. It’s funny cuz people always say they didn’t feel the cute stuff, end up falling for the more mature songs, revisit the cute stuff, and 8/10 end up falling for the cute stuff they originally passed on.
Really hoping you get to FOL and EWO as your album reacts. As for the guides…they’re a bit hit/miss. The original one was Wyatt and Cody but it’s grossly outdated. There’s some newer ones but they kinda skew into unhelpful than helpful.
I think a better way to understand them is to watch Seize the Light and Sixteen to really understand their core being (even if you don’t react to it cuz they’re long). AFTER those there’s a somewhat recent 1hr guide that many have been using but again tends to swerve into unhelpful and ends up just being memes of them.
Even their assigned positions don’t really hold up as much anymore as all of them have recently been found doing positions they don’t normally do. Anyway just my 2cents.

This song is such a banger, i love it and i love Twice so much! Im so excited for you to get into Twice finally, and its okay if you take your own pace, and i hope you'll feeling better Catilyn! My fav guide is by Minguin Mina, they really made such an amazing and detailed guide for twice! Its a bit long but if you split it into two parts it would be alright (a Helpful Guide to Twice 2022) Twice are my ults and i never regret stanning them!
at the end of almost all of their songs, most of the time, when jihyo sings, nayeon does the adlibs and vice versa. they kill it EVERYTIME
Momo had her foot on all our necks with this release haha yes she is the one who attacked you in the beginning haha and Jihyo and Nayeon were the ones doing the adlibs at the end of the song. If you ever hear adlibs at the end of Twice songs it’ll 99% of the time be either Nayeon, Jihyo, or both lol

This might spoil you but the earlier songs of Twice are more on the cute side (The way they sing) but the instrumentals are good, especially their choruses! But it's up to you which path you'll take and take your time while knowing them I hope you'll end up liking their discography :>

Fun fact: the vocals in the back are the 2 girls at 12:19 they usually do the back-up vocals. Their names are nayeon and jihyo. nayeon is the ones with the bunny-like teeth and facial features and Jihyo is the one with the strong vocals and the soft but piercing eyes.
