OMG I can't believe the room is half-empty and most of the folks just heads down tapping their phones. I bet thousands of people should form a line at the door to listen to this and to ask questions to Michael.

The Managing Director of _Techstars Dubai,_ _Vijay Tirathrai_ (born 2nd Dec 1966) used to be known as *Vijay Kishu* for 40 years, until he changed it in 2006 to Vijay Tirathrai. Why? Because in 2006, his entire family (father, mother, two brothers) were sentenced to 3 months imprisonment at the Kuala Lumpur High Court (in Malaysia) for contempt of court. The Kishu family used to own the _Globe Silk Store_ (a famous clothing store, and the 12-storey building was a famous Kuala Lumpur landmark as well) for 28 years until the business went bankrupt in 2005. During those 28 years (1977 to 2005), the Kishu family treated their employees at _Globe Silk Store_ as if they were ants to be stepped on. They used to sack employees for the smallest of reasons, and treated those they didn't sack with utter contempt. But at least those workers were paid. However, the _Globe Silk Store_ was badly affected by the Asian financial crisis of 1997 (loss of customers because these customers simply didn't have the money to buy goods anymore) and the business never fully recovered after that. By 2005, the Kishu family didn't even have money to pay their employees but they kept telling them they would be paid eventually. Eventually, these hundreds of employees realized that they had been lied to and they began staging protests outside the _Globe Silk Store_ building, and the KL police had to intervene. The business was closed down by order of the Court in 2006, and that's when the judge sentenced this crooked family to 3 months' jail. That is also when the entire family changed their names to *Tirathrai* so that they can keep their true identities hidden from the Malaysian public.
Vijay *KISHU* comes from a family of crooks, a criminal family, but nobody knows about his background because he changed his surname a long time ago. If anyone is looking to do business with _Techstars Dubai,_ BE VERY CAREFUL. Its managing director is a member of a _very_ nasty family.
