I don’t hate on dairy I just opt for different things. I wouldn’t mind trying raw milk if it were something I could easily acquire as I’ve heard it’s great but alas, it’s not. 😊
I don't believe in the high oxalate mentality, but I do believe in the lack of proper nutrients and diet, which if you are lacking certain bacteria, this can be a cause of the oxalates not breaking down due to lack of prebiotics and probiotics and also lack of essential nutrients, and also malabsorption can be caused by caffeine, sugar, carbonated drinks in the diet, so getting back to consuming a proper balanced diet with your FULL Spectrum in optimum dosage is part of getting the body back in proper health
Homemade almond milk is the only way to go! I often like to peel the almonds after soaking and then blend in my Blendtec -- and leave the fiber IN...! When made in a high-speed blender on "high" the fiber blends in really well. I have also learned that I can mix 2-3 TBL tapioca starch (aka tapioca flour) with about 2 cups almond milk, put the desired amount of hot sauce for a chili con queso, (I like salsa verde plus Huy Fong's chili garlic sauce) as well as some turmeric to make it a little bit yellow and then stir constantly on a low-medium heat until it is about bubbling and acting like melted mozzarella. I love dairy but it doesn't love me -- so this has been a great thing for me, which I eat with the healthiest organic tortilla chips I can find.
I wish the store bought "milk" alternatives didn't have all the gums/thickeners in them. I've been hitting the Flax "milk" pretty hard the past couple of months at about $15 a week for shakes/smoothies. This process looks both fun and healthy. I feel like a lot of people are hating on this because it's plant-based rather than cow-based. While I am all for people who want to drink dairy milk, and I see absolutely no problem in that, some of us out here can't drink that because our bodies don't like lactose. Believe me, I would much rather drink cow milk because there's just nothing quite the same in texture and flavor as dairy milk. However, unless I want to be stuck in a bathroom for half a day and feel like every organ in my body is going to explode, and also not be able to breathe because it causes allergic triggers in my body, I'm kind of stuck with plant-based milk. I would much rather have a super easy, much less processed way to drink almond milk, rather than dropping $7-$10 for a carton of highly processed almond milk from my local grocery store.

Sadly the vast majority of cow products contain pesticides and herbicides used on the growing of the alfalfa the cows living and breathing all those toxins of the waste they live in, which in return , those chemicals are part of the cow affecting the milk, which in turn those chemicals that a person consumes, in addition the contamination of the others foods and water, and cleaning products used in the home attributes to what happens to your cells in the regeneration which then causes, due to lack of nutrients, break down in cell regeneration, ALLOWING that breakdown allows diseases to form, resulting in auto immune types, cancer, and others, so if you are still young, you can still change your diet, but if you are old, well maybe you are already taking meds, and have health problems, but if you change your diet, add proper nutrients, it can be reversed

Beware that homemade Almond milk has a ridiculously high oxalate content. About 70% of people's colon do not have the ability to break down oxalates. Unfortunately I learned this the hard way thinking I was eating to healthy.
That's why Mike took off the skins and rinsed the almonds thoroughly. He stated that the oxalates were mainly in the skins and he rinsed and strained the skinned almonds for this exact reason.

I, too, was a vegan for about a year nearly a decade ago. A lot of us that have gotten to this point tried other diets first. About five years ago, I got into keto... which backfired after ~8 months. Then about 4 years ago I got into carnivore and slowly eased into animal based. Carnivore / Animal based wasn't well known when vegetarian and veganism was. Keto isn't self-explanatory, either, so unless you looked into it, you wouldn't have known how to try it just from hearing the word keto. I think most people hear keto and think eating a lot of bacon, if they have any idea at all. People nowadays have a significant leg up on health with people like Mike (@Highintensityhealth) and Paul (@Paulsaladinomd) out there.
As much as I would love to drink normal milk, because it just tastes amazing, I don't feel like spending half of the day sitting on the toilet and feeling like my internal organs are all going to explode because I can't process lactose. 😂
All "raw" almonds sold on US are pasteurized. When soaked, they absorb water and swell and start to rot, but would not sprout. That's unfortunate!!! Thank you for this information!👍 🧡
Not totally true. You can buy truly raw almonds from a roadside stand in CA and they will mail it to you. I have purchased from Capay Orchards, Bremner Family Farms, or Heron Fox Farms. All organic and raw. Just can't purchase more than 100lbs at a time. I also believe that almonds from Spain are often truly raw, although I would suggest more research.

Genuine question...what you're doing doesn't get rid of the omega-6's which are bound up in the linoleic acid in the almond? So aren't you getting a massive inflammatory dose of LA when you drink almond milk? Because everything I've read surrounding omega-6 and linoleic acid shows that it's REALLY bad for people to eat. Also, the ratio of omega-6 to omega 3 in almonds is 2000+ to 1. Per ounce of almonds is something like 4 grams of linoleic acid. So an 8 ounce glass is 32 grams of that crap. The conversion rate is only 5%, right? It can't be good to drink that stuff long term. I don't know why you'd even consider these nut and grain juices to be a worthwhile option over even pasteurized milk.
