Ok, I cannot read, nor speak a word of the oriental languages, written here, ... But I can certainly tell you this much, ... this is a genuine craftsman of high skill, showing the love, of an all but forgotten trade, ... of creating from an idea, or image, of the making of useful utensils taken from the land, the skill, & care in using basic tools, and carving, (more, or less), ... a canteen, is a wonderful example of true skill, & innovation, ... these types of knowledge must somehow be kept alive, ... and I for one am exhilarated by this type of production, .... (& yes, I know it probably took him about an hour or more to make this), ... but the workmanship is superb, ... I will turn 65, in less than a month, ... but it is these types of crafts that I am intrigued watching others do, that gives me hope, that if, & when, our civilization crashes into the dark ages once more, that will sustain mankind’s longevity as the “Alpha” being upon this planet, ...

I hear you !! I'm hoping to learn how to build ALL KINDA STUFF !! Outta Bamboo ! I'm already pretty good with wood. After doing some research, I'm BLOWN AWAY at the amount of things that can be made by Bamboo !!. Not to mention a HOME !!. I'll be videoing myself building my 12 x 20 Garage ALL OUTTA BAMBOO ! And hopefully Without nails or screws !!. Maybe I'll be able to teach Someone a little too !! Maybe I can help keep this talent alive !!!!??!?!!?!?!!. Maybe I'll get good enough to make people wanna watch and learn from me !!??!?!?!?!?.
I'm a model maker and have been making models for over 60 years , but I don't have half the skill this gentleman has !
I gotta say, You Tube is flippin Amazing with all these brilliant video's on here. Where else would you find so much diversity ? I'm hooked, on it everyday, from cooking to repairing stuff, car reviews, it's endless......
I LOVE this Guy !!! I got lucky and just had over 5000 stalks of Bamboo gave to me !! I've always cut down over 1000 ( it ain't easy either !!). and can't wait to start building things with it !!. Hoping for a Fence across my front yard and then really hoping to build a 12 x 20 Garage with the Bamboo ! It's considered "Structural Building" Bamboo! The walls are so thick that I can barely fit my pinky inside of a 3 inch round Stalk !!. It's SO STRONG !!. Anyway, I love learning from this man !! I wish I could speak his language !!. Thanks so much for the videos !! Keep em a coming !!.
This was a joy to watch. My dad was a carpenter and so was his brother and my mother’s father too. This type of pitcher type must be thousands of years old and is much better looking than plastic junk made today.
I like this a lot! Grandfather your grand baby is adorable. In the U.S. we have Foxfire books. If you like this look for the books. They are full of people much like this man with their own set of skills.
