+Courtney King I don't think Tilt N Tumble can be emulated because emulators don't have the tilt sensor feature that the game has built into the cartridge.
It's good to see people are still playing this obscure gem. It's often forgotten but still highly charming and original. (But this is coming from the guy who contributed the most of KTnT's content on Kirby Wiki, so I'm pretty sure I'm biased, haha.) Keep up the good work and happy gaming!
@xurbs I do believe the power glove is solely responsible for seeding the idea in nintendos mind that someday motion controls would get better and when they did Nintendo would be able to use them better.
I think this might be my favourite video you've done to date. I love your Pokemon stuff, but I'm really enjoying seeing branch out into various other games, etc. I saw you tweeting about how much work this was to put together, but it turned out amazing! Keep up the great work.
Yeah I like what she is doing with her channel now sometimes I get so bored of youtubers who only do Pokemon on their channels so its nice to see someone who was a Pokemon only youtuber, doing other stuff. Most PokeTubers don't do this and i end up not watching their channel at all anymore
This feels like something that could be played on a smartphone. Would love to see it remade for android and iphone, especially considering that nintendo has already started to create mobile phone games.
I don't know if you've stepped up or changed your production or camera or what, but this video seems really well put together and edited. Your videos are always great but this one was exceptional.
I love videos of people just talking about random games they love. Actually I think I just enjoy hearing people talk about anything they love. Especially when those things aren't always as widely appreciated.
I like how you've been doing these types of videos, you're very good at them. This one I think has been the best video you've made thus far! I love your editing style in this. c:
*Just watched Powerpuff girls chemical X-traction again* Ahhh! Good video! Too bad she hasn't uploaded in a while... I mean her newest video is- *Kirby Tilt n Tumble - Tamashii Hiroka, 1 minute ago* ... *Mouse breaks due to speed of video thumbnail clicked*
I love the way tamashi makes her videos. She articulates herself so simply and yet so well compared to other youtubers. She speaks with emotion and visually compliments her speaking with her own head movements and body language. The content is also well researched and easily digestible. Love the work!!!
Great job Tamashii! I'm really loving these new videos you're putting out. You always manage to make them so engaging that I never want them to end! I never played this game as a kid, but it was really fun seeing you navigating its worlds and hearing what it's all about. Can't wait for your next one!
Thank you Tamashi! This game was one of my very favourites growing up; also, unfortunately one of the few games I lost. It means a lot to me to see someone talk about it! :)
I really only planned to stick around through 5 minutes of the video but ended up watching the whole thing. Very well put together video. Keep up the great work Tamashii!
Ah, so nice seeing you enjoy the game you're reviewing. Don't be mistaken, I've loved the past ones where they were awful shovelware games. It's just nice to hear about another gem from your childhood.
I'll have to look out for a copy. Have you ever played Yoshi's Topsy Turvy? That game also uses a similar gyro chip enhancement and is another game no one ever talks about for some reason.
This is so damn nostalgic. One of the first games for the game boy I ever owned. Seriously Tamashii first chemical x-traction now tilt and tumble??? How did we both have the same games as kids that no one else had???
I can't believe you played this in a car!! This was one of my favorite games as a kid. It felt so original, and was such a treat!! It was so cool to see a video about this game!! Excellent video!!
I like that in these reviews you actually take us back to the persecutive of a kid back in those days, I mean that was one of the main appeals to me of a reviewer like the AVGN, he shared his own personal experiences with the game pretty vividly.
I was always interested in games that have additional hardware built into the cartridge like the accelerometers in this game. Too bad they can't do that anymore.
Chris Beach if it had I don't remember a lot of games using it. I know that the 3DS had one and the GB and GBC don't but I'm not sure about the GBA and DS.
Wow you said you played this game in a car as a kid? I can barely read a text in a moving car without getting car sick, playing this game would've made me full on nauseous.
Oh I got car sick, but I played anyway. As the child of divorced parents, a lot of my childhood was spent in cars between houses. I had to get my playin' in sometime!
TamashiiHiroka lol! Me too! I've had to move a lot because of mainly jobs, and how few there were there were in the areas I lived in. If I were to ever count how many times I've gotten carsick in my early years, I'd puke.
I used to do that all the time too. I never got car sick until I tried playing my DS on the way to university on the bus. It was devastating, because I always played GBA on the bus and car., 1hour bus ride btw, and I can't read papers on the bus, so no studying.
This was my very first Kirby game and I'm sooo glad I beat it. I think it was the first game I ever had a rage-quit with as well. XD (though my rage-quitting is pretty tame) If the game wasn't perfectly balanced, you'd veer off in some direction you weren't aiming for and die pretty easily when the game asked you to move or platform through areas with a bunch of bottomless pits. There was also the fact you couldn't play the game lying down or moving around, because motion controls.... But man, this game is really nostalgic for me!
That was one of the best videos you did in quite some time. Looks like a really interesting game, and at one point you presented it in an almost AVGN-like manner. I definitely don't mind you stepping away from Pokémon videos for a while if you do content like this.
Glad go see someone show some love to this game. It's hella underrated. one of the few games I kept from my original collection lol. Thanks for this video! :D
Seen several tamashii videos, always liked them. There is just something in her new confidence that pushed me to subscribe. I hope these quality videos keep rolling in...heh..rolling...
This is such a fantastic review! This game deserves this kinda attention! Also I can't believe Tama didn't talk about that one Peg puzzle with the little ghost going side to side, that was IMPOSSIBLE i wasted hours on that
1:14 Oh my goodness, I'd forgotten about the "Get Into It" commercials until you played that clip and I saw the lips pop out from the screen! I could almost hear the different pitches and inflections they used for all the commercials. It's been a while since I've been hit with that much nostalgia.
Glad to see someone else who played this game. I mostly remember that it really hurt my neck to play it because I had trouble getting the gameboy flat and would play laying down. You talking about how hard the wooden platforms were gave me flashbacks to falling. Again, again, and again. Apparently people have attempted to speedrun this game using the Gameboy Player on the Gamecube. How they pull it off, I have no idea. Also, very impressed by the editing.
I searched the hell out of my subs list for your channel... you definitely have priority with Pokemon videos! this was one of the top channels with I was playing Y last year for the first time. Don't let it go! >
After a great thanksgiving break it was nice to come home and watch Tamashii! Us who watch her on Twitch who that she's been working so hard on this video! Tamashii this video was worth the wait it was funny and amazing! Thank you so much!
I haven't watched Tamashii in like, a year when this popped into my sub box. "Oh hey, I haven't watched her in awhile, let's see what's changed" Holy.fucking.shit. This is a fucking huge step up in quality in such a short time span, not to say her old videos are bad, they're great still but such a huge step up really caught me off my guard. I can't wait to see what she has in store for the future. Great job to you Tamashii.
Holy hell, I thought I'd had all the Kirby gameboy games, but I've never even heard of this one! I definitely gotta pick up a copy! Thank you so much for making this video, it was a joy to watch!
Wow never even heard of this game before today. You know this is why I really like watching shows like yours. I get to found out about games I've never even heard about. Be they good, hidden gems, or utter garbage. It really inspires me to start my own show someday. Perhaps after I graduate from college I'll start. But in the mean time thank you so much Tamashii for so many interesting videos. Have a nice day :)
I swear Tamashii you played every single game I did when I was a little kid no matter how obscure or underground it is. its like we had the same childhood! 😊
Omg listening to the game play in the background is giving me so many flashbacks to my childhood playing this game I miss it they should definitely bring this back
Someone: "Kirby is too easy that even a baby can beat all Kirby games in a day" Me: *Holds up Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble cartridge* Someone: *Backs away slowly* Also, I subbed. :3
I can totally relate. This was one of my first gameboy color games as well since my parents were always picky about the boxart and if the game looked violent in any way they wouldn't let me get the game. I actually managed to complete the game 100 percent. Im glad you reviewed this game it brought back so many memories :)
Considering when this game was released, this is innovative and executed well. I didn't even knew that gameboy games could even handle motion control. Loving these kind of videos, great work!
MarioSonic64 When I was about seven playing Super Smash Bros Brawl for the first time, before I had played Super Mario World, I thought that Marios caps was a pikachu tail lol.
I'm really loving these Jontron/AVGN style reviews Tamashii! You have a unique style and you don't feel like you arlre trying to be anyone other than yourself :) Keep it up!
Nice video! This has always been one of my favorite Kirby games, Im glad to see it getting some attention. and yeah, ive never gotten past the part with the moving elevators in world 2... im gonna bust it back out and see if i can beat it, you have me inspired!
My goodness, THANK YOU for explaining the accelerometers are designed for use with the gbcolor only! I've had a good condition cartridge of Kirby Tilt n Tumble for YEARS and I thought it was a cute game but I could never make it very far on the gba sp because it controlled so poorly. I... didn't realize it was actually playable. Thanks for making this video, now I know it's worth another try (on the right hardware).
This game... Too many memories. Can't hold back the tears remembering the x-3 music. This game was absolutely my jam back in the day. I genuinely don't know if I played this more, or Pokemon Gold.
No wayyy, I totally forgot about this game. One of my buddies had it when I was in elementary school and we'd play it religiously during recess. Thanks for reminding me about this gem.
Just found this channel and I thoroughly enjoyed this video! It looks like this style of video is different from your Pokemon videos which I appreciate. I've never seen your other stuff but I have a very limited interest in Pokemon so I'm totally digging this new stuff. Keep it up!
7:35 "If you run out of flight in open air, you're dead." Dang, Tamashii, you didn't sugar coat that at all. Kirby Tilt n Tumble: Sympathy Not Included. XD
This would be an amazing game Nintendo could bring to smartphones or their handheld devices... if they remembered it.
ghostko1235 The difference is that this wouldn't be a new game, but more of a readaptation, or at least a similar game.
lulu1997master This should be the Kirby mobile game
I'd love it if they did it. Or some sort of Virtual Console for mobile
Courtney King but it's not quite the same.
+Courtney King I don't think Tilt N Tumble can be emulated because emulators don't have the tilt sensor feature that the game has built into the cartridge.
It's good to see people are still playing this obscure gem. It's often forgotten but still highly charming and original. (But this is coming from the guy who contributed the most of KTnT's content on Kirby Wiki, so I'm pretty sure I'm biased, haha.)
Keep up the good work and happy gaming!
So technically, Nintendo worked in motion control very early on... so is Kirby responsible for the foundation of the Wii?
@xurbs I do believe the power glove is solely responsible for seeding the idea in nintendos mind that someday motion controls would get better and when they did Nintendo would be able to use them better.
I think this might be my favourite video you've done to date. I love your Pokemon stuff, but I'm really enjoying seeing branch out into various other games, etc. I saw you tweeting about how much work this was to put together, but it turned out amazing! Keep up the great work.
Yeah, this was a pretty good video. Glad to see she's doing well with branching out into other gaming stuff.
Keep up the great work Tamashii.
Yeah I like what she is doing with her channel now sometimes I get so bored of youtubers who only do Pokemon on their channels so its nice to see someone who was a Pokemon only youtuber, doing other stuff. Most PokeTubers don't do this and i end up not watching their channel at all anymore

I don't know if you've stepped up or changed your production or camera or what, but this video seems really well put together and edited. Your videos are always great but this one was exceptional.
I love the new direction this channel is taking!

I remember seen your videos 2 years ago and wow! you changed for good, looking happy and healty. Glad for you.
I love the way tamashi makes her videos. She articulates herself so simply and yet so well compared to other youtubers. She speaks with emotion and visually compliments her speaking with her own head movements and body language. The content is also well researched and easily digestible. Love the work!!!

Tamashii, I LOVE your game reviews, please keep doing what your doing, which is bringing a smile to my face:)
Thank you Tamashi! This game was one of my very favourites growing up; also, unfortunately one of the few games I lost. It means a lot to me to see someone talk about it! :)
I love this style of review you've come into, with the personal anecdote prefacing the level-by-level overview. A lot of fun!

I wonder why Nintendo never thought about a Kirby's Tilt N' Tumble remake for portable devices yet.
I really only planned to stick around through 5 minutes of the video but ended up watching the whole thing. Very well put together video. Keep up the great work Tamashii!
AVGN level quality Tamashii! Your videos have really improved recently. Congrats!
This was great! I really enjoyed the pacing of the video and liked the way the level 4 boss tension was edited in. I hope you'll make more
Ah, so nice seeing you enjoy the game you're reviewing. Don't be mistaken, I've loved the past ones where they were awful shovelware games. It's just nice to hear about another gem from your childhood.
Kirby Tilt N Tumble could be ported or remade for the Switch given the Joy Cons have extremely responsive motion controls.
Loving all the old school game reviews! Really enjoying all your new content lately.
why do i thoroughly enjoy hearing you talk about games ive never played before
ok but where is the sun and moon content tho?
All over TH-cam. There's no drought of coverage.
Paulo Rezende Dude I was drowned with sun and moon video
sorry if i ofended you, I just wanted to see your thoughts on the games. that is why I'm subscribed. :(
Truth be told I haven't had the chance to play it yet. I was too busy working on this video.
TamashiiHiroka I'm not going to lie but you are hot😍
I'll have to look out for a copy. Have you ever played Yoshi's Topsy Turvy? That game also uses a similar gyro chip enhancement and is another game no one ever talks about for some reason.
I picked it up! Unfortunately I never really got into it, but maybe I'll give it another chance someday.
I loved it!
Hi Tamashii! I'm a big fan, and your easily one of my favorite youtubers! It makes me happy whenever I see a new video. Keep up the great work!
This is so damn nostalgic. One of the first games for the game boy I ever owned. Seriously Tamashii first chemical x-traction now tilt and tumble??? How did we both have the same games as kids that no one else had???
That gameboy footage is so crisp and smooth. That' unheard of.
I can't believe you played this in a car!! This was one of my favorite games as a kid. It felt so original, and was such a treat!! It was so cool to see a video about this game!! Excellent video!!
you did a really really good job at reading the script. I remember watching your vids a few years back and you've improved so much :)
Hunh! Never woulda heard of this neat little game without your video. Your humour was also on point. Keep it up!
Too bad they can't do that anymore.
but this still can be made in the 3DS ,3DS have accelerometers too
Joel Graber In this case the 3DS, the Wii U gamepad and probably the Switch have accelerometers so they can do a similar game if they want.
Joel Graber didn't the gba have one built in? their was a warioware game that had tilt game Mechanics. I'm pretty sure it wasn't in the cartridge
Chris Beach if it had I don't remember a lot of games using it. I know that the 3DS had one and the GB and GBC don't but I'm not sure about the GBA and DS.
Sato I think the first Nintendo handheld with accelerometer was the 3DS.
this was a rather impressive video, in just recording the video, and thanks for making it to inform of a Kirby game I wouldn't have otherwise heard of
Wow you said you played this game in a car as a kid? I can barely read a text in a moving car without getting car sick, playing this game would've made me full on nauseous.
Oh I got car sick, but I played anyway. As the child of divorced parents, a lot of my childhood was spent in cars between houses. I had to get my playin' in sometime!

Exact same for me. My mom rented it from blockbuster for me when we drove to my Nan's one time. -And- it was on a GBA aha. Just play through it!
I used to do that all the time too. I never got car sick until I tried playing my DS on the way to university on the bus. It was devastating, because I always played GBA on the bus and car., 1hour bus ride btw, and I can't read papers on the bus, so no studying.

But man, this game is really nostalgic for me!
Much as i love your pokemon uploads, i gotta say im really digging these misc. games as well.
We need to get a gif of that eyebrow raise during the chicken race. The intensity was too real.
That was one of the best videos you did in quite some time. Looks like a really interesting game, and at one point you presented it in an almost AVGN-like manner.
I definitely don't mind you stepping away from Pokémon videos for a while if you do content like this.

I just realized I've been here for like 4 years,I still love your videos :D
That live action chicken bit was great!
An obscure retro game review of a game that doesn't suck? This is my fave vid from this channel in a while.
That was a Matthewmatosis-level in depth review on this game. I enjoyed every second of this video!
Her eyes when she was shaking the game boy was hilarious
This was a really stellar review! I'm actually really tempted to try and find a copy of this game and play it.
Hey +TamashiiHiroka !! Your channel has grown so much since i watched you in 2015 your doing amazing!
I think this is one of your best reviews yet!
I haven't watched Tamashii in like, a year when this popped into my sub box.
"Oh hey, I haven't watched her in awhile, let's see what's changed"
Holy.fucking.shit. This is a fucking huge step up in quality in such a short time span, not to say her old videos are bad, they're great still but such a huge step up really caught me off my guard.

oh manzies, this game looks unfathomably difficult!
Your hand eye ordination must be next level
Great video, super glad I found your channel again
Wow never even heard of this game before today. You know this is why I really like watching shows like yours. I get to found out about games I've never even heard about. Be they good, hidden gems, or utter garbage. It really inspires me to start my own show someday. Perhaps after I graduate from college I'll start. I love where you channel is going T keep it up!
I kinda want to attempt to play this game on the Game Cube's GBA player.
Thats why it has a handle, tho!
I swear Tamashii you played every single game I did when I was a little kid no matter how obscure or underground it is. its like we had the same childhood! 😊
Omg this is so nostalgic!! I've forgotten all about this game for all these years until today...
I clicked on this video so quickly. My favorite TH-camr making a video about my favorite game. (tied with pokemon)
Omg listening to the game play in the background is giving me so many flashbacks to my childhood playing this game
I miss it they should definitely bring this back
Someone: "Kirby is too easy that even a baby can beat all Kirby games in a day"
Me: *Holds up Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble cartridge*
Someone: *Backs away slowly*
Also, I subbed. :3
10/10
Love your energy in these new videos!!
Love the new direction of the channel!
Loving these kind of videos, great work!
lol when she was shaking the gameboy during the chicken game i actually laughed super hard.
I remember the commercial for this game. Geez, that takes me back.
Ah yes. Back when I was young enough to think that Kirby and Jigglypuff were the same character.
OMG you thought that when you were a kid? But they look so much different!
The Amazing Singing Trash Can
They were pink and round characters, it didn't take much for me to think that lol.
MarioSonic64 I thought that too, when I was really young though.
That Kirby model in the advert was quite cute
This new content is really good. Worth the wait
This video is really well put together and detailed, great job :D I hope you can do more reviews like this in the future.
Nice video! This has always been one of my favorite Kirby games, Im glad to see it getting some attention. and yeah, ive never gotten past the part with the moving elevators in world 2... im gonna bust it back out and see if i can beat it, you have me inspired!
Great video!! Your passion for the game really comes through. And now I wanna play it, haha.
Thoroughly enjoyed this video Tamashi!! Keep up the great work, would love to see more like this!! 😊
Just have to reiterate how much I LOVE YOUR NEW HAIR SO MUCH STILL!!!!!!!!
This game... Too many memories. Can't hold back the tears remembering the x-3 music. This game was absolutely my jam back in the day. I genuinely don't know if I played this more, or Pokemon Gold.
This is awesome Tamashii! Really makes me want to play this game.
No wayyy, I totally forgot about this game. One of my buddies had it when I was in elementary school and we'd play it religiously during recess. Thanks for reminding me about this gem.
Great video as always! You can really tell the gruelling work you put into the editing :')
Yep. That's Kirby for you. Starts off pretty simple but turns into something surprisingly really challenging
ha i loved you going over this game the swearing, puns and the look on your face as you do the mini game.
GREAT VIDEO! I like that you are venturing out of the pokemon zone.
Ah motion controls before motion controls
TMB33 is that sponge from vinesauce
Random Modnar no
TMB33 before... god i hate talking about twilight princess
Lazzy litt you mean skyward sword?
Just found this channel and I thoroughly enjoyed this video! It looks like this style of video is different from your Pokemon videos which I appreciate. I've never seen your other stuff but I have a very limited interest in Pokemon so I'm totally digging this new stuff. Keep it up!
This is dope. Thanks for your enthusiasm and wonderful execution of the subject matter.
7:35 "If you run out of flight in open air, you're dead." Dang, Tamashii, you didn't sugar coat that at all. Kirby Tilt n Tumble: Sympathy Not Included. XD
super underrated game. this one holds the most nostalgia for me, besides Mario tennis for the Gameboy
