    Hi mate - another great video. I agree with you on basically every point. I've had my 2021 diesel D90 since March. One of my pet peeves is the auto stop-start system...first thing I have to change every time I jump in the car. Infotainment system definitely sucks. Its embarrassing to have that in 2022 as a product. Some dealerships are very good, others are terrible - but that inconsistency is a problem in itself. You can get around the pedal lag with an EVC/throttle controller. That's my latest addition - just put one in this week and it makes a huge difference. ATECO is hopeless - they have an amazing opportunity to push the LDV brand and do even better...but they are shooting themselves in the foot.
    Overall, I love my D90 diesel. I've driven it twice to Sydney (from Melbourne), on the beach, off-road....its fabulous. I'm a big bloke - heaps of room - love the space inside. When friends sit inside they are totally surprised by how big it is inside. I've found it to be very fuel efficient. I simply could not justify spending so much more on a similar sized vehicle, so I'll put up with a few quirks that it has. ATECO - lift your game on updates for the Infotainment, available accessories for owners, and better training for your dealerships. You would be surprised at how many more D90s you would actually be able to sell in Australia.

    • @ValueCarsAU
      @ValueCarsAU  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your comment mate, absolutely agree that the current state of play from LDV Australia and/or whoever is behind this (not familiar with ATECO) is just being lazy. And at this price point it wouldn't take much to make us - owners - happier. Just get your electronics/software sorted. Done! That's it! Hardware we're buying is already above the pass mark...

      Keep it on Sport mode and the auto start function is not utilised

    • @rabaker7253
      @rabaker7253 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@theshadow2958 I might try that - but then I don't want to drive it in Sport mode all day either. It would be nice if you can select your mode, and other options - and it stays there every time you start. Same with a few of the other alarms/settings that people experience.

      @@ValueCarsAU ATECO is the importer/distributor for LDV vehicles in Australia/NZ - along with RAM, Renault, Maserati, etc. They are the ones who decide which models/features to import in....which is why the D90/Maxus versions you see online in other countries have a few nice features which we don't get here in Australia. Totally agree with you - fix the 2 or 3 most common complaints from your current customers - and business will grown substantially I'm sure.

    Hi again ,
    Love your very honest videos & as a UK MG HS new owner appreciate your comments re entertainment screen etc .
    As you obviously loved your HS & now LDV I find in my short time with my HS that I agree that the 'big' entertainment screen is so ' laggy' that I now use Android auto.
    Tried contacting MG direct re updates received a polite answer & that's it !
    Please MG get your act together & improve your software & make your product even better & don't sit back and ignore this issue .😴.
    Cheers , Lachie.

      Hey mate, totally agree that both MG and LDV need to get their act together on software updates. This seems to be by far the most popular complaint topic that I've seen across the forums and here on TH-cam from other owners!

      I agree mate, but a bit tentative on effectively breaking the LDV warranty conditions if I service somewhere else? I remember we've discussed that the car is covered by Aus Consumer guarantee or whatever, but who wants it to get to the courts etc, right?

    Been enjoying hearing about your experiences with the MG. Went to visit our local MG dealer in Newcastle to have a look at the vehicles; quite dissappointed as the salesmen were more interested in playing with their phone then wanting to try and sell cars. Keep up the great work! Cheers

      @ValueCarsAU  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey mate thanks for the kind words, and it's a shame that Newcastle MG people are clearly not as good as some of our folk here in Sydney... maybe makes sense for you to come down to Ryde MG, as they have been quite good to me at least and I've seen them being quite attentive with other people visiting the centre. I'm sure the whole team is held to a good standard, but if you decide to pop in, ask for Justin - he is quite awesome.

    • @ValueCarsAU
      @ValueCarsAU  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Glad to hear you're enjoying the reviews mate - LDV D90 is a very big SUV though, make sure that you really need one THAT big and that something smaller won't suit you better. I imagine, as a young person fresh from Uni, you'd probably enjoy a slightly smaller and more nimble SUV more?

      @@ValueCarsAU thanks for your reply! Yes I was also thinking about other smaller SUV vehicles, however, I personally prefer bigger vehicles, as I prefer the taller and broader view that the big SUV will provide. Also I feel like when you are driving those big vehicles, you are sort of on charge of the road? And I really like that feeling😂
      So yeah, I am not certain, but I will definitely took your advice and really think about it, right now just watching all your videos and trying to figure out which budget friendly car should I really go to!

      Hey thanks for sharing mate, I agree it's ridiculous in this day and age. I'm similar to you except I try and change my Chinese cars a lot more often 1-2 years while they retain value and until I get sick of them 😉 at the moment GWM/HAVAL seems like the brand closest to Japanese/euro quality compared to others like SAIC group. Re Android Auto check out my latest videos for a wireless solution promo, I wish I knew about it back when I had LDV.

    Dimitri I’m looking at the D90 as a back up vehicle to our passenger transfer business and yes we don’t want another van! We already have them in the fleet. I’m attracted to the price and the size of the vehicle for city work for our single clients. Are you satisfied with the warranty LDV offer? Just subscribed too!

    • @ValueCarsAU
      @ValueCarsAU  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Dave, great to hear from you. Thankfully, I didn't have anything to do with LDV warranty yet, and think (upon reflection and reading feedback from some of my other viewers) that my local dealer was trying to do a dodgy here on me trying to convince me that LDV offers only 3 years of warranty, while people buying in Melbourne said it was longer. So check with your dealership, but I'd only rely on manufacturer component, not whatever the dealers would promise you "on top" as add-ons.

      Hello again! I'd say it would be great for your large family of 6, and you would need to check what your local dealership network is like, as well as car service. Our dealerships and LDV service are pretty bad here in Sydney at least, and I'm considering to start servicing the car closer to home at a local mechanic shop (rather than LDV). You might need to do the same (I don't know about how things are where you are?) - so please check locally

    service your D90 at a local reputable mechanic. Waranty is not affected. I service mine myself ie dump oil and oil filter at home no dramas so far 10 000km clocked up

      I think it's poorly represented in the urban Australian environments (unless you live in Cabramatta) and that for roughly the same money you can get one of the more established brands. In India it might be rocking. Here - simple question is WHY would you buy one, when there are better options?
