I've been to Snow's twice. Once I got there at 3am and was 15th in line, the 2nd time I got there at 3:30 in the pouring rain and was 20th in line. Rain means nothing when it comes to amazing BBQ.
It's just barbecue... if you are waiting in line for hours your priorities are messed up man. You can get great barbecue without waiting so long if you just drive somewhere else. This is coming from a barbecue enthusiast...
I was excited to discover Snow's Barbeque SHIPS their barbeque!! My family and I are native Texans, but live out of state. We haven't had Texas barbecue in a long time, so we couldn't wait to order it. We were NOT disappointed. Despite being shipped frozen and vacuum packed, the meat was freaking INCREDIBLE (and their sauce is amazing).
The absolute best overall BBQ joint in Texas. Franklins has the edge on brisket but Snow’s ribs, sausage, turkey, smoked chicken, sauces, and beans are far better. They really improved their sausage texture over the last four years. I make the 50-minute trip from Austin several times a year. And prayed that Tootsie and the older lady owner of Marfa Burrito survived COVID so I could experience their food again. So glad you got the smoked chicken. It’s a must have ingredient for gumbo as well.
I’ve been to Austin four times so far in my life. Every single time I made sure to have some proper Texas barbecue. The brisket is simply the best ANYWHERE in the world, no matter which establishment you find yourself at. Totally amazing. I’ve been barbecuing (and slow smoking) for twenty years, and although my friends/family tell me my barbecue is the best, I have to concede that I am only a mere mortal in the barbecuing world, and that Texas defines the epitome of proper barbecue.
Getting kind of deep, but food is honestly a big reason why I'm still here! When I was really depressed I would search new recipes and try new foods, so getting up early to try some delicious bbq is honestly on my bucket list! My god...As much as Mikey shows off some amazing delicious looking food..I can genuinely say that I never wanted to eat something from one of these videos as bad as I do now!! That magnificent feast you got from Snow's BBQ looked absolutely heavenly and almost unreal. I would 100% absolutely and without any hesitation go and wait in line at 3:00am to be able to eat some of that! Restaurants like that are rare and sadly becoming rarer everyday. Unfortunately they don't last forever and hopefully this isn't the case but a lot of times once the owner of a restaurant like that especially one who cooks everything themselves retires...a lot of times the food is never truly the same. I need to go there and try the food at least once before anything like that happens!

If you want to check out more bbq places in Texas, suggest you look at the top 50 listing in Texas Monthly, where a place on that list is what bbq restaurants really work for
There are so many good BBQ places in TX (and just in DFW) that there is absolutely no reason for me to get up super-early for Snow's. Plenty of excellent places.
I went to Snows on the weekend of the Snowpocalypse! It was the first time my wife and I went. There was still a long line despite the dangerous road conditions and cold weather... the verdict? WORTH IT!!!
I have been to Snows BBQ before. usually 250+ people get in line hours before open. But the owner does drawings that gives customers chances to move up in line, prizes, or discounts on you order, Service was excellent, but the food was beyond awesome. Living in Central Texas gives us numerous chances to experience great BBQ. Snows is a must experience for the bucket list. if you get there early enough then they will have chairs for you to sit and wait until opening. Only knock on Snows is there is not enough tables to sit and eat if you are not in the first 1/3rd of customers ordering food.

Now you have to get invited to Texas backyard BBQs. They are twice as good. Texas Folks all got their own BBQ versions that dwarf the commercial stuff.
for a great day after eating at Snow's take the 5 minute drive over to Texas Skydiving in lexington and hang out with the donkeys and llamas then go for a skydive. it's always a good time.
I got to Lexington a 1 1/2 days early. I’m camping in the campground just a few blocks away from snows bbq. I stayed in the campground in Lockhart Texas earlier this week I hit city market barbecue in Luling Texas, then went to Smitty’s market barbecue, Black‘s BBQ. Then I took off and went into Austin for Franklin I was first in line at 5:15 AM the number two person showed up at 5:45 AM. Franklin was phenomenal everything to me was a different standard than the other places!!!! I just thought Franklin was a complete barbecue experience everything was so good!!! The next day after Franklin I took off for Lexington Arrived at the campground on Thursday and took my bicycle down to snows got to talk to one of the employees which was really cool. I was planning on being at snows at 5:15 just like I did it Franklin barbecue. The employee said you will be Wayback in the line if you get here at 5:15 AM! So I am going to be there at about 4 AM sitting in my chair wrapped in a blanket because it’s going to be about 48° at daybreak. Thanks for the video I kind of fine-tuned my attempt to be first in line at snows tomorrow. I hope to be first in line!!! I was actually thinking about being about fifth or sixth of wine that way you get a better slice on the brisket. But I got the first slices off a brisket at Franklin barbecue and you get all that seasoning and bark!!! Just like you said ask for the brisket if you can. But I think a lot of times they don’t wanna grab another brisket and start cutting until you get rid of the one that’s in front of them. Wish me luck for number one in line tomorrow!!! I just subscribed to your channel I really enjoyed your video thanks I might have to stop in Austin and get one of those hamburgers!!! Or I might have to go back through Lockhart Texas I skipped Kreuz BBQ and now I’m hearing that I shouldn’t of skipped it from some locals here in Lexington. Take care

Going on Saturday, it’s on my bbq bucket list! Thanks for posting and trying TX food!
Going have to try it 😁I fly for great bbq
@@timbrown6109 We got there right at 4am, and were 34th-39th in line. At 5:30 there was almost 150 people in line. Sat down around 8:30 and were done by 9:15. Totally worth it!
@@eveyb1668 Sounds great 👍...no doubt will visit you sold me on it 😂😂
If I can ever find a guy that gets as excited over me as you get over food I’ll think I’ve died and went to heaven! Love your channel Mikey!
I DID what you did. And I loved it! Just remember, Snows is for the brisket and ribs.
I have traveled thousands of miles for hotdogs all over America. Waiting in line for legendary food is a badge of honor
Can't wait for you to try Hutchins BBQ in Frisco / Mckinney!
Those burgers at the first place definitely sat for a little bit. The cheese doesn’t lie!
I like how he’s confused by the rain n cold that came out of nowhere... this is Texas we have all the seasons in one day
Kinda like Florida in the winter. 😆
Alright guy. You have the same motto every other state in the US has. “Don’t like the weather? Wait 30 minutes!” It’s so played out.
Texas weather is truly bi polar. It's like o look we have a cold front coming around 6am....6am wind gust of 60 mph and 55 out side, 11am same damn day 90 degrees no wind humidity 80%...5pm 101 with random rain that no one said was coming 10pm 75 degrees and muggy.....roll the dice for tomorrow
@@jasoninthehood9726 except it ACTUALLY happens like that here in Texas.
U do? It’s not just EXTREME heat? 😂😂😂😂
If you want to check out more bbq places in Texas, suggest you look at the top 50 listing in Texas Monthly, where a place on that list is what bbq restaurants really work for
That BBQ looks so good!! God bless the pit master!!
I love how excited Mikey is about food. Cheers Mikey
If I’m by myself, I would totally wake up early and get in a 4 hr line for BBQ
Mee too lol
Girl u fine as hell u ain't gotta be by ur lonesome.
@@TheJtyork420 lmfaoooooo shooters shoot
Why only by yourself
😁😁😁 4hr easy
That Thai chicken sandwich looks..... INSANE!!!!!!!!
3:20AM. You are one dedicated blogger. ❤
That brisket looks Devine!
So glad you're in Texas! :D
I love seeing how much people love Snows, especially since I’m from Lexington, it’s just mind blowing if I’m honest.
You are missing out if you don't watch Netflix Chef's Table episode before coming here. You will truly appreciate the experience.

Great Content
There are so many good BBQ places in TX (and just in DFW) that there is absolutely no reason for me to get up super-early for Snow's. Plenty of excellent places.
I went to Snows on the weekend of the Snowpocalypse! It was the first time my wife and I went. There was still a long line despite the dangerous road conditions and cold weather... the verdict? WORTH IT!!!
Mikey waited 5 hours for the best ramen he has ever had. This better be the best BBQ he has ever had.
I've been there. It is.
He went back again for the same ramen. But he said here he won't go back to snow's or franklin for such a long wait
what’s the ramen place called?
I'm curious now too.
@@MultiCklee thats because other bbq joints are almost as good
I have been to Snows BBQ before. usually 250+ people get in line hours before open.
And now I'm craving BBQ! I would absolutely wake up that early for great food!!!
And yes Dallas traffic can get crazy but you'll learn your way around it!!
I’m so used to referring to him as Mike Chen, when the lady was calling for “Michael” I was like “who’s Michael?”
I can only say Mikey, its even so weird to here Mike or Michael hahaha 😄
I call him Mikey, and I've talked about him so much my mum thought he was a close friend of mine 😂 I wish!! I'd totally go and eat a ton of food with him!
@@tula_lula2662 hahaah omgsh that is so funny and awesome! I totally understand that. I talk about him so much too that my husband finally said , babe are you sure you don't wanna leave me for Mikey Chen 🤣 I'm like no sweet husband i just want to go eat with him, you can come too! hahaha 😄
Lol same here, “who 🤔?”
@@AmeeraG242 I'm lucky because my boyfriend and I watch Mikey's videos together. It's inspired us to try hotpot and Korean bbq
Wake up 1am as it taste of heaven as heaven cannot wait
I wanna say she was featured on a BBQ show on netflix where they visit a new joint each episode.
Chef's Table
I am from India and I knew about Tootsie long before she was featured in the Chef’s table. Quite shocking to see Mikey doesn’t know her despite being in the food vlogging business for so long.
I was just thinking he must watch Netflix.
I saw Snows bbq on ‘Texas Bucket List’ good show w Shane.
Now you have to get invited to Texas backyard BBQs. They are twice as good. Texas Folks all got their own BBQ versions that dwarf the commercial stuff.
Totally worth the lines, just for the fun of it. I wouldn't do it all the time, but definitely a try-it-once thing.
“For the fun of it”. Come on. I’ve done it multiple times and it fucking sucks.
Would love to see mike swap to the Texas way of putting barbecue sauce on literally any and everything dry 😂😂
Literally watched this video earlier today, then the Chef’s Table featuring Snow’s BBQ was playing at the nail salon when my manicure was drying
for a great day after eating at Snow's take the 5 minute drive over to Texas Skydiving in lexington and hang out with the donkeys and llamas then go for a skydive. it's always a good time.
Me: waits four hours in line for a graphics card
Mikey: waits four hours in line for meat
And BOTH are EQUALLY as wanted !
That snows bbq grandma got biceps for dayssss
I would have done that & woken up early & waited for good food before. Worth it!!
Take care
Oh I was gonna tell u to try snows omg I’m pumped bout this vid
Don't let the sun shine fool you it will turn on you without notice.welcome to Texas u will learn fast about the weather here summer hasn't even started yet good luck
