I commented earlier on your Portugal videos, and really liked your commentary. I mentioned the Golega Horse Festival. Even if your husband is not horse-mad he will have a blast. It is a fantastic event where you will make more friends in a day than you can keep track of!
Here in Germany we have such a quest every year. It can take you the whole year, but you have to track your rides. When you finished 160 km the official part is over, but you can go on tracking your rides. By the end of the year all the km's are counted and then you get a certificate about all the km's you rode. And in 2020 when no endurance ride could be ridden there was Plan D that meant we had to ride 160 km within 8 weeks. It was fun, because that was some kind of challenge beside all that trouble and limitations we had because of Covid.
What beautiful sounds of the birds as you ride! The look on your pony's face when he woke for his night ride 😳😁 Congratulations to you both on the 100 mile ride!
These are the bad asses of the equestrian riders ! What beast !! This is extremely difficult on horse and rider !! Mad respect to both and would LOVE to try !!!! Or at least go check it out !!! Thanks for the awesome video once again !! This event is sure worth it ! ❤️🐴❤️
Many years ago my friend Hope and I rode over 30 miles in one day around Potomac, Maryland on a pair of horses we exercised for their owners. I wasn’t used to that kind of distance - the horses, in their twenties and thirties - were fine. I was exhausted! Congratulations on a beautiful ride on your handsome boy!
I rode a few 50 mile endurance rides in Northern California back in the late 90's. A work colleague owned Arabians and let me train and ride with her. Experience of a lifetime!
Amazing scenery. When I come back for another life, I want to live in such a beautiful place. I used to ride my Exmoor mare bitless and barefoot, but bareback was a definite no. She was wide, low wither, huge trot and ‘spicy’. A comfy treeless saddle was perfect for us. Such a cute pair of ears ❤
Gotta love a gaited breed on trail rides… my ride was a TWH named Tyke… had him since he was 12 and sadly he passed over last year at the age of 30… I love to vicariously watch you and your rides/videos… thank you ❤
One of the first horses I learned to ride on was a TWH (Aptly named - Walker😁) They are great horses. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, it is always too early to say goodbye. 🤗 Thanks for riding along with me, so glad to have you here!
You asked the length of distance can not say but I did a 5 day ride in the snowy mountains of Australia, to see wild brumbies. How far is not truly relevant but it has changed my perspective on all things in life and has left me a calmer wiser person. This would not have happened if was not for being on horseback.
@@DiscoverTheHorse I hope you focus on the stamina and ground covering ability of them. There's several that do endurance. I think a lot of folks assume all Pasos do the Fino gait and aren't a practical breed for trail and pleasure riding. So I hope you blow that myth out of the water. It would be interesting to see the historical background of them in Puerto Rico and Columbia (and how they differ), vs the North American Paso.

That sounds so nice! What is that ride called? Are there video of it in youtube?
That is awesome!

You always share your passion for horses with such positive energy. What a nice change!
Aww, thank you! :)
Wow, bareback, bit less, night ride, and all out in beautiful nature. 100 miles.
Greetings from the center of Germany-Göttingen. Good luck & health for your Isländer and yourself. Same for the other participants. 🐎
Colorado is my most favorite places I have lived! I would go back in a heartbeat! Congratulations on reaching the goal!
Loved watching this, hearing the birds, the clip clop of hooves... Warm and sunny, cold and snowy! ❤

Thanks for watching! :)
I love how the horses along the wayare so into it. Red Wing Black Bird. Congrats Rafi (I forgot what the first letter is) and you.
Thanks so much!

Thank you for sharing, what a beautiful place to ride, no traffic.
Thanks for watching! :)
Sweet night ride! My horse’s night vision isn’t as good as it used to be. Night rides in the past were such fun.
Enjoyed the video. Love your gelding!
congratulations he is a horse of my dreams
Happy Birthday Hrapi!🎂💐🍀🌻
He says-Thank you! :)
Congratulations, that looks like fun!
Thank you! :)

Wow! That sounds like an amazing ride!
You ride the 100 miles bareback. Unbelievable. 😅
I've done a couple of 50's. Hope some day to get back to endurance.

Love Barefoot, Bareback and Bridleless! ❤🐎🐎🥰
Fun ride!
Thanks!
you also get extra credit for doing it in an halter and bareback :)
😁 Thanks!
This was a cute video. When are you gonna do the Paso fino?
Thanks for watching! Great question, I'm not sure when yet, but they are on the list!

1500 miles is the shortest ride I have done
Is your "Main Camera" also your Go Pro? Tried to click on the links, but the Main camera and GoPro-link is the same. :P
Ooops, I'll get that link fixed! For this video here are the two cameras that I used:

I cannot believe she rode a Icelandic Pony with no saddle on the Tevis cup. How are you going to stay on when the trail goes vertical?
Did you trailer him back home ?
I’ve ridden for 5 hours but don’t know how many miles we rode.
How many miles did you ride in one day or required to ride .
You can ride as few or as many miles as you want each day as long as the 100 miles is completed within the 100 days.
@@DiscoverTheHorse thank you , so know your pony endurance , because you want your horse to be comfortable
Did you name your horse ?
100 miles is to much, and in 100 days is also to much time, because you can do it walking😅
