Great vid. When for part 2? Interested in the protection you put on. Just the Barrettine stuff? I thought that was only after it already had wood preserver applied, but Dunster House timber is all untreated spruce apart from the pressure treated bearers, as far as I know.

just started building mine, the way they dump it on your drive is dreadful. How did you get on with getting an electricity supply to the log cabin and what kinda cost was it ? cheers

I've been meaning to upload part 2 for ages covering this, apologies. The electric wasn't too bad. It's 2 ring circuits (1 32amp and 1 40amp) plus a single lighting 6amp radial circuit for 2 led battens. It's all in 20mm conduit, so i did the 2 rings in single 2.5mm cores. To biggest single costs were the 20m steel armoured cable(4mm core, £79 screwfix) heading back to the house and the main consumer unit (British general fortress 6 module 4 way populated main switch consumer unit, £90 from screwfix). With about 10 double gangs and junction tees, I think it came in under £350), all in. An electrician friend did the Part K bits with the rcd and steel armoured for free though, so just take that into account

Thanks for the info, yeh I’ve budgeted about £500, I only need 2 double sockets and a light switch, but I don’t have a sparky friend who do it for free 😂
