You didn't quite say that the rails determining a company's value have to be consecutive. It doesn't matter in any of your examples, but I didn't understand why you would care which end you play to. Also, rules say a company with negative value just counts as zero
This feels like THE game a person plays rather than A game a person plays. Meaning, it seems like this is a game that can become the regular game for a group to always play. The foot print is huge, and it feels like there is a ton of depth here. Both good things :D

We always played it negative to give more of an xx game feel but yes

I agree that this game is more about managing your hand than winning tricks, but I really enjoy it.

Yeah, this can get pretty crunchy with the right group. There's a bit more than anyone in my group expected too, when we dove into it!
We have started using the advanced rule for the game which is to randomize them and it adds another layer to it
