- Daar gingen ze… Cookie en Elmo, de eerste opgevangen pups van het zomer seizoen 2019 werden ook als eerste vrijgelaten! Sinds hun eerste dag samen in opvang waren ze onafscheidelijk en zo gingen ze op 28 juli 2019 ook samen terug naar zee. De kleine pups zijn in twee maanden groot en sterk geworden.

I hope they will survive.. since they have no training from other seals about predators how to eat and fend for themselves in the wild. Not everything is basic instinct.
They aren't just randomly dumped. They their caretakers spent years teaching them and helping them figure things out. Then they're released near another pack so they don't have to be alone.
Seals also don’t teach each-other about predators or how to hunt. Seals are god awful parents it’s all down to instinct. They just leave the babies on shore, go up to feed them then leave, they don’t teach anything.

I hope they survived.. it looks like they never really ventured far out like they were staying close to shore by the human care takers... I hope they weren’t left and werent confused they had to fend for theirselves.

I don't like the idea of them being let loose because they didn't have elder seals teach them about sharks and other predators. They are just like dogs but for the ocean. I hope they get a chance to live. The dangers in those waters are quite considerable compared to where they were raised. Good luck Elmo and Cookie.
There caretakers spend years training them to go back into the wild so they will be fine :)

Tiere sind so unverdorben, so liebesbedürftig , sie müssen ja jetzt auch schon um ihren Lebensraum bangen , wird i.mer schlimmer , nicht die Tiere kreuzen unseren Weg, sondern wir Menschen nehmen ihren Lebensraum , ich hoffe die Evolution lässt sich bald was einfallen ❤💋

Hebben ze wel genoeg conditie opgebouwd, om lange afstanden te kunnen zwemmen..?? Zou het geen beter idee zijn om ze bij een kolonie af te zetten.. Zodat ze lifeskills kunnen afkijken en leren.. ??... Het lijkt zoo alsof je ze in het diepe gooit.. Blij dat ze vrijgelaten worden.. Maar voel me toch een beetje bezorgd..
