Two years later, you're still saving us money and hassle! A perfect video that really helped me diagnose that the high-limit thermostat was the culprit. Replaced both thermos per your recommendation and less than 48 hours and 14 dollars, we have a functioning dryer again. The high-limit thermostat was a bit of a hassle to take off as it was a tight squeeze through that hole and it was difficult to get leverage on the top screw that's close to the drum. A small power screwdriver would've helped that, but I lacked one of those. Reassembly with the new parts was much easier. Thank you for this video. It's people like you, taking the time to make videos to help others, that make the internet great.
YES!!! This was SO Good! So Much tech! Short cuts! 10 minutes into this I Knew I had to Subscribe! Thank you SO Much for all your knowledge and training! And , And, 6 Thumbs up! Wow!
meanwhile i'm over here taking the whole door off and pulling the element out to access. I'm very sad now I hadn't even considered the vent access in the back. Second time doing this too I should have replaced both the first time.
I didn’t believe it when the freezer idea fixed the thermo fuse. We were in a bind and had to get the drying working that evening for my spouse to dry linens for her practice. You saved the day. This video should get an Emmy Award!
I can't believe I just fixed my own dryer. My family can't believe it. But it is already back to working! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and guidance!
Fixed my problem for $10 in Amazon parts! Would not have figured it out without your video. Thank you for the specific details to ensure everyone was tracking!
Yo, Yo, Yo, this was a great video. 3 YEARS AGO, MY REPAIR EXPERIENCE IS 8/2024. Now, I have to be honest, once I decided to attack this problem with my dryer. I ordered the parts from Amazon, and I have to say. I took me about 45 minutes because of the location. but I saved myself $$$$. THANKS A BUNCH.
My dryer didn't want to heat n I was already looking forward to buy another one,but thankfully i found this video n gave it a try and let me tell u,it worked!!!!! Thanks to this guy it saved me hundreds of dollars!!!
Anthony, thank you so much for this super helpful video! I had a repair guy tell me that he would have to take apart the machine to fix the problem, but with your video, i was able to diagnose the problem, order parts, and repair it myself. What a relief! You are so generous with your knowledge - it is much appreciated :)
FIXED!!! Only $60 later; not hundreds!! I feel smarter from watching your video and learned quite a bit because your delivery of details was excellent! You need to create more content; about any and everything! :)
In a small town in Alaska and we needed a dryer bad as our fishing clothes were getting pretty bad. Watched tons of other videos to trying to figure out what to do as parts take some time to get here. Your way of explaining things helped us troubleshoot and the refrigerator trick worked to get us a temporary fix until we get a part here. It did not hurt that we have a walk-in fish freezer that that runs at -27F. Thank you so much for taking the time to post this.
Good to hear, you can also drill a small hole in it so you can reset the bimetallic strip inside with a pin (unplugged of course). I also have a video on doing this too on here. Good for a temp fix.
Only a few minutes into the video and this is already the best video I've found out of 10+. Thank you! Unfortunately I found this video after I already took the whole thing apart. But I was able to use liquid propane to freeze the high limit thermostat, put the thing back together (after cleaning everything) and got my work close dry. Now if it goes bad I know how to easily access it without taking it all apart. My wife is going to be very grateful tonight 😉 thanks again!!!
Thank you for the video! Your diagnosing part was helpful to determine that I did not have a heat element issue. I may have a different LG, but I was able to hit the reset button in the bottom of the dryer without replacing the parts. I also followed your cleaning advice and got a big "lint python" out that likely caused it to trip. Mom of 3 here--fixed my dryer for free! Thank you so much!
Anthony, this is what you call excellent troubleshooting. "Shotgun" troubleshooting does not fix the problem all the time, and it is expensive. I appreciate your thorough explanation.
Thank you. Yes I try to be very thorough when I diagnose something. Plus you don’t want your customer returning saying it didn’t work a few days later. And by “customer” I mean my wife. 😂
Very good video, fixed my dryer in one hour because spent time testing the thermostat. A suggestion, I used a induction flatplate to heat the thermostat to see it's operation. Worked superbly. Our LG distribution did not have the parts, thus could not replace. Your idea to reset the breaker by putting in the freezer worked beautifully. Thank you!
I can proudly call myself a washer and dryer technician now. I went through one thermal fuse and this video was the only helpful one. You'll always get that one guy that says "sounds like a vent issue" ... they are just the small problem in America. But add a hell of alot to our issues. Any who. I took my replacement thermal fuse froze it for a bit. Slammed it and it popped back out and replaced the thermostat and boom!
It's one in the morning but my significant other will wake up surprised to know her clothes are done. Big difference from when she put her eye mask thingy on ha
Thank you very much for this video. It was right on for testing to see which parts were not working and which ones were. We layed our dryer on the left side and used the exhaust outlet hole and side access hole. We also put a small towel under the heater element with the dryer laying on its left side just in case we dropped the small screws. That saved us since we did drop a screw. You saved us lots of time and money and felt confident in fixing the dryer.
Thank you for the advice and instructions. I completed the job and the heat is on. Total cost $10.99. For the future perhaps add tips on how you installed the new parts. The tiny screws were not easy to get back in. You must be a contortionist. All the best!
Wow!!! You were spot on!!! I tested mine just like you said!!! Heater #1 and heater #2 showed 22 and 24 degrees Celsius. The thermal fuse was bad using the continuity test. Replacing both as you recommended even though thermostat tested good!!!! Thank you!!!
This is the video to watch for electric unit. This guy explains how it goes through it without talking to you like you're a dummy. Informative. He doesn't sit and drag on about nonsense
Your video is great! Fixed a dryer I got for free and it only cost me $10.87 for the parts from Amazon! So awesome! The person who gave me the dryer said a repairman quoted it as an $1800 repair! Crazy that they would charge that much for this easy fix!! Thank you!!
Thank youuuuuu, Anthony, or is it Seth Rogen twin!? This is the perfect how-to video if LG (and maybe other?) dryer suddenly stops heating since unit has 2 heating elements and very unlikely both fail at the same time. No front and rear tear down and only 1 screw removed to access faulty thermostat!! Genius!! Saved so many hours compared to heating element replacement! $14 for both thermostats on Amazon and easy for amateur to replace, and now I’ll be returning the heating element unit which was also 5x more expensive. $14 vs $950 new unit vs $400-500 service repair in MN, so thought I’d try it.
Just ordered my 2 switches from Amazon for $11 next day delivery. I wasn't looking forward to tearing everything apart and hoping to get it back together right. I'm glad I found your video. Thanks! Great info and explanations.
I cannot remember if I thanked you last time, but this is the second time I have had to make this repair. AGAIN, your video kept me from having to take my dryer apart. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much! I did it! I fixed our dryer for less than $12 🎉🎉 you explained the process so well and the video was invaluable. I can't thank you enough!!!
Thank you for this video. The other videos I came across suggested taking the top off, the front panel, etc, etc., to test the thermal fuse, thermostat, and heating element. Your method is an incredible time saver. My issue was the thermal fuse. I was able to reset it using the upside-down can of air trick to "freeze" it back to having continuity. This allowed us to finish drying our clothes while waiting on the thermal fuse and thermostat to arrive from Amazon. Again, Thanks!
Not to be another "me too" but thank YOU, Anthony! When I called last week to see how much it was going to be to get a repair guy out just to take a look, it was going to be $110! Found the parts on Amazon and was able to install and test after a bit of an issue getting the screws off (the ones closest to the drum). The stubby didn't work for me as I have large hands and couldn't grip it. Was able to locate a Phillips with a nice flat end as a handle. Allowed me to get the leverage that I needed. Really wished the US would use torx rather than Phillips but was able to get the screws off without damaging the heads. That's what took me the longest time. Thanks again!
Yeah they are in there pretty dang tight. Thank you for taking the time to make a comment, might be another “me too” but it is appreciated. Glad to have helped another person save some money.
16:01 The reset button solved my problem (I have a gas unit). I was able to reach it by removing the exhaust pipe like you did. Thank you, sir, for taking the time to unselfishly share your knowledge👍🏿
Thank you so much for this video!!! Helped me figure out what was wrong in a short time. Unfortunately, I still had to disassemble the whole thing to get to these parts, but well worth it knowing I diagnosed the problem and was going in blind. Spent about 15 bucks on parts and my wife thinks I am a super handyman now!
So why, why, WHY, do these parts go bad? I've replaced them twice, also replaced the heating element, then replaced the entire control board, then a month later. Same problem. HELP.
@@armandsalvini7790 Mine went bad a 2nd time but I realized, I didn't get the root of the problem, which fo me was cleaning out the fan that was clogged with lint, once I did that I have had no troubles for 8 months.
I know, that was a dumb question. The fan moved very freely, if I flick it it continues to spin freely. There was hair built up on the fan shaft, I cleaned that off, it was moving freely before I cleaned off the hair. The small pully, belt tensioner however does not spin freely. It's not bound, more like if it had heavy grease on it. I wonder how freely it should move?
@@armandsalvini7790 My spun fairly freely but I pulled off the cover and saw a lot of lint stuck around the blades and packed against the cover. I cleaned these off and it spun easier and longer. Sorry I don't know how freely the belt should move.
Got crap parts(damaged in shipping) at first but the online supplier shipped new ones for free. The bit about the low temp therm having continuity yet being a defective part is entirely accurate. 3rd time was a charm lol(re used old low temp with slighly bent in shipping high temp) Glad there are guys out there taking the time to film their work this well. dryer still working a few months in.
Thank you thank you thank you! I did this today and it took me about 2 hrs and now my dryer works lile the first day. All for $10 off of Amazon. Both parts! Again thank you thank you thank you
Firstly thank you for this video. Not having to take the dryer apart just to replace those two parts is invaluable. Thankfully I'm very flexible so reaching in wasn't as hard as unscrewing those tiny four screws. They were on so tight and the dryer drum hangs low above those parts it took a little work, however I got them off.. ordered through Amazon separately for $21. I hung cloths on a dryer rack till parts came in. There was a LOT of dust and lint inside the dryer like you said. Putting the parts in was a BREEZE (I took pics for wire replacement) I ran a diagnostic test again and sure enough those numbers began to go up..PROBLEM FIXED! Honestly you are the BOMB!! Thank you so much for saving me money in these very difficult times.
This was quite helpful Anthony, especially the bits about accessing to the components by pulling out the vent tube, and the little access door on the right side. Definitely saves some time from full disassembly. Thanks.
You did a really great job explaining how to run self diagnostics on LG dryer. Watch mini videos and none of them went into depth explaining everything quite as well as you did. Thank you for your help
I just want to echo what others are saying, this really helped me out, thought this was going to be a big fix, or replacement. My issue was the second switch, put it in the freezer, then banged on it, and it reset. This will give me some time to get the parts ordered, my wife is happy she's able to do laundry.
Anthony, Thank you so much. Video was perfect and over all cost for parts on Amazon was only $10.94 and will be here tomorrow. Saw another video were they take the top and the whole front and tub out. Was very doable but your video was to the point. Thank you again, made a stressful day better knowing this will be a fast fix tomorrow.
Great advice on how to run the diagnostic test and replace the 2 parts. We ordered them on Amazon ($40 total), changed the almost completely plugged vent (thankfully our house didn’t burn down because of this!) Thank you for saving us huge money....we were ready to throw our dryer out and buy a new one!!
$10 on Amazon for both parts just today. Took my whole dryer apart and removed the heating element though before I watched this video. Reaching in the back seems easier.... Ah well the heating element was actually pretty dirty so cleaning it out anyways.
Hi buddy, thanks for your video. I have an LG DLEX3700V dryer that's giving me the error code TE1. I looked it up online and found that it might be a bad thermistor. I ordered a new one (model 6323EL2001B) and replaced it. I measured the resistance of the old one, which was about 8K ohms, and the new one reads around 10.8K ohms. From what I found online, the normal range should be around 11K ohms, so I think the new thermistor is fine. I also tested the round thermal fuse you mentioned in your video, and it reads 0.04 ohms, which seems normal. I took apart the vent and cleaned everything, inside and out. There’s no dust or blockage near the two sensors. After reassembling everything, I double-checked all the connections to make sure they're tight. I also measured the resistance at the yellow and blue wires leading into the control board, and it shows around 10K ohms, which means the connection to the board should be fine. Once I put everything back together, I reset the dryer by holding the start button for five seconds while it was unplugged. But when I powered it back on, it ran for a few seconds and then showed the TE1 error again. I tried restarting it a few times, but the TE1 error keeps coming up. Do you think this could be a control board issue? The board is pretty expensive, so I don’t want to buy one without being sure. Could you help me figure out how to use a multimeter to test the board and what kind of readings I should be looking for to determine if the board is bad? Thanks for your time, and I really appreciate any help you can offer!
A very well done video! Educational and Informative. All your efforts explaining the details of how things worked made it very interesting to watch. The demo of heating the thermostat showing how it worked inside was brilliant. Also I appreciated how you were able able to capture clear video of the inside of the machine as well as narrate using one hand to test. 💪 You have a really good teaching style and now a new subscriber. Thank you !
Excellent video. Very well done. I just fixed my dryer thanks to your video. Used the freezer slam method...if the fuse goes again i will replace both parts as you rightly recommend (was in a hurry tonight).
Tried your chill spray idea to reset my open high limit temp sensor and it did not close it, but thanks for pointing out those sensors can be easier reached by removing the exhaust cylinder from the back than by dismantling top and front. It's too bad LG decided to spot weld the rear panel to the side panels.
Anthony, awesome! Gracias for sharing what you best know to us the bunch that are cavemen to this things. This is the 2nd time it happens. The 1st time I was guided by another video that instructed to disassembled the whole thing apart to get to the heat thermo. And it took me all night til morning hours to put it back together cause setting the belt kept kicking my ass. Til finally.. SUCCESS!! I got it. And it worked for a few months...til now This time I will buy both switches. And will put them back on w/o tearing the whole house apart like the first time. That belt almost traumatized me! But it's Saturday night and will have to wait til Monday to go buy them. Thank you for being a friend of the people. Bendiciones
I had the exact same issue, you saved me a ton of time, money and (more importantly) frustration. Like, subscribe, my first born, whatever, it’s yours. Thank you
I've replaced the non-resettable one twice in the last 3 years, and just learned you can drill a small hole in the top to slide a paperclip in and push the bi-metal strip back down. Now, even though I have continuity there, I get an SE code when starting that diagnostics mode. Can't run the motor or test anything else. The manual says to use "Test 8" for the SE code, but stops at Test 7...
The video is informative and helpful. I am experiencing the same issue and have located the necessary parts on Amazon, with prices ranging from $9 to $25. Due to the mixed reviews, I have opted to purchase the parts directly from LG, including shipping, for a total cost of $78.
Hi Anthony, like every one said, you have taken time to explain with such a clear video. I can't thank you enough and I will try to attempt the fix over the weekend.
Thank you very much for this video. The first time I replaced the Thermo cut-off I took the dryer completely apart, drum and all. This saved me so much time. Thanks again
Excellent, thanks. Note: the white wire on the thermal cutoff looks discolored, like it has been getting hot. Maybe a poor crimp connection on the wire ?
Thanks for the video! It was very helpful!!! I ordered the parts from the LG Store at Amazon and replaced both the thermostat and the fuse by following your video.
Anthony--thank you so much for posting this video--it was very informative and easy to follow--and it is exactly what my dryer needed. It talked me off the throw-way-too-much-money-at-it ledge. About $24 for next-day shipping from Amazon, plus a lot contortion and a bit of blood, and I was able to repair it myself!
Worked. 49.00 for one 15.00 for second. 73.00 with tax rather than 1000.00 for new. Magnetic screwdriver best tip. Minimum bloody scratches on that very sharp vent hole edge.
Thank you so much! We followed your directions, and my dryer is all fixed! The only issue was my husband had one heck of a time getting his big hand in that small space, but he got it done. Saved us a lot of money.
Thanks a bunch. That small access hole is criminal and I got cut several times (my previous samsung had a small panel). After bleeding a while, realized a good idea was to put tape around the opening to prevent cuts.
thank you so much for your detailed video. Truly amazing info. I feel like before going to conductor testing you should mention the heating reset button. Mine is between the two cords you mention. My heating element has gone out twice and both times the heating element reset button has worked. I did do your diagnostics test and it failed on both heating elements. I will try to post a picture. Love the details you offer. reset button should be attempted first for heating element. very easy. dryer needs to be unplugged to do this, trust me, lol.
Hi Anthony, thanks for all this great info! My issue has been clothes coming out damp almost always. What would you suggest next if everything on the heating element tests okay? We are stumped here and would appreciate any guidance!
Thank you! I diagnosed that it was the thermal reset fuse, so I put it in the freezer and threw it at the ground, and it reset! I put it all back together and my driver is fixed. You saved me $800ish! Thank you! Do you accept gratuities/tips (e.g. via PayPal or something)?
Great video! Thanks for posting- girlfriend and I are looking at a seemingly nice condition used LG set for sale. Seller says the dryer doesn't work but doesn't know anything more. This video was a great help! . . . PS LOVE THE SWEATSHIRT! APPLEBEE'S!
Thank you very good video. unfortunately none of the problems helped my LG. Multimeter reads all good on the fuses and heating elements but the heating elements are not heating up.
Thank you for showing everyone how to test the heater. Mine is good and gives me piece of mind after tearing the whole dryer apart. LG should be ashamed for making my model to where I have to take the drum out. B.S.
Just had my dryer go bad I'm going to check the sensor your talking about I also have an LG smart dryer The washer died years ago they were a set. I like the old stuff better so much more reliable
Thank you for this video! This turned out to be exactly what was wrong with my dryer. I came so close to just ordering a heat element. Also, I did put mine in the deep freezer (I had to do it twice to get it to break loose) to see if I could get it to work. Well it did! I am still ordering a new one but like you said, at least I can get some laundry done while waiting for the parts. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this thorough video. I followed your steps through the diagnostic sequence and had the same readings as you did so I ordered and replaced both my thermostat and thermal cut off. After replacing both parts, I ran the diagnostic test I still wasn't getting any heat (the reading started at 20 degrees and went up to 21 degrees). So I went and borrowed a multimeter from a friend so that I could test the ohm values on my heating element. All three leads (red, yellow, and blue) tested out exactly like you stated. So now I'm not sure what the next step would be. If you have any suggestions I'm all ears. Thanks again for the video, it was extremely helpful.
@@TheVintageEngineer I installed the parts and verify the components by conducting an ohm test. I just want to make sure that you can't install the thermal shut off upside down or put the leads in the wrong spot. Also I don't know if this matters but on my display screen the cooling notification will never go off, no matter how long I run the dryer. Everything I have read says that the cooling is apart of the cycle but it should only happen roughly around the last 5 minutes of the cycle. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to answer questions.
Can’t really install upside down but did you put the wires back correctly, particularly on the 3 terminal thermostat? If that all seems good, it’s possible the board that controls that circuit could be out. What about the old thermostat and the hi limit, did you confirm a bad one on the old parts by measuring resistance across?
@@TheVintageEngineer @Anthony Shelton I didn't test the old ones I just replaced them because at the time I didn't have a way to. Plus is was only $11 dollars so I thought it was worth just replacing them to see if it would work. I have tested both new components and the heating element and everything ohms out appropriately. It might be the board. I noticed that the display always shows that it's cooling, so maybe the board is telling the dryer to cool instead of switching on the heat
Unless you are comfortable working with electricity (performing tests on live wires inside), then it does sound like the board without performing other tests. Edit: just looked up this cooling light and it’s evidently suppose to be on all the time and only flashes when cooling is active. You comfortable working with the unit on with wires being live?
I don’t have a testing tool just basic tools I’m not a handy girl 😩but I believe I can manage with this guidance. My question is if I can’t test it and I replace the heating element does that take care of the thermostats if they are bad?
Harbor freight sells a multimeter for $6-7. I would test the thermostats / hi limit switches before replacing an element that could potentially be fine
Great video but not easy getting the pieces off with a screwdriver because super hard with the dryer container in the way getting the top screw off both the heating element and thermal piece
17:00 The service manual for the DLE5977, printed April 2004, does say -31F (-35C). I am guessing they accidentally deleted the minus sign in the later manual. To get a temperature of -31F, you could try Dry Ice as it comes in at -109F! Probably cheaper to simply replace the cut off unit than buy a block of Dry Ice.
If you watch the video I made right after this I show how you can drill a small hole to reset the bimetallic strip. Similar to what the gas switches have (they came with a button on them to push to reset)
@@TheVintageEngineer I have to attack my sisters dryer tomorrow. I wanted them to run the heater diagnostics for me but they demurred. So they ordered the two thermostats and a complete heater unit to have on-hand. I'll check the thermostats first and I am pretty sure that is the problem. Plus it would save me having to take the whole dryer apart if just the thermostats. The parts came from Amazon so the heater unit can be returned through Whole Foods if it is not needed.
@@TheVintageEngineer I did the repair on Tuesday. I went in through the vent hole and confirmed the high temperature cut-off was open. I was able to remove one screw from it but could not get enough leverage to loosen the top screw. Add to that the drum was making it difficult to get a screwdriver to line up. I then looked at my arm and noticed a lot of scraping from the metal edges of the cabinet. I decided at the point, I might as well tear the unit down and go in through the top. Glad I did. I believe the dryer dates back to 2004 (previous owners of my sisters home left it and the matching washer when they bought the house in 2007). It was filled with thick lint everywhere. It appears there had been a small lint fire on top of the heating element as there was lint ash all over it. Opening it gave me chance to thoroughly vacuum out the insides and get all the ancient lint out. Then installing the new cut-off and thermostat was easy. Put it back together and it is drying clothes again. I have the old cutoff with me and I am going to try resetting it based on the instructions in your other video. Not going to reuse it but it will be interesting to see if it can be reset. I wish I had a convenient source of dry ice (just a tiny amount).
@@RobertSchaffrath I ended up doing the same after the video. I also had some slightly charred lint. Even took the heating element clamshell apart and double checked to make sure coils looked good and didn’t have potential contact with the outer casing.

Thank you!!
Great to hear Tasha!
This is one of the best do it yourself repair videos I have ever seen. Thank you very much!
Thank you so much! I did it! I fixed our dryer for less than $12 🎉🎉 you explained the process so well and the video was invaluable. I can't thank you enough!!!
were you getting an error code? If so do you remember which one?
@@timkuntz3038 where's there a fan?
Great video!! $11 to repair my dryer vs. $200 for a service call and waiting days for a technician. Thank you!!!
Both parts! Again thank you thank you thank you
Replaced them both with parts from Amazon for 11 bucks. Just got the number from the part. Worked like a charm😊
Good to hear!
Thank you. This saved us so much money. 11$ for the parts on Amazon and we didn't have to take the entire thing apart. So grateful.
I did this on mine and you saved me from buying a new one. Thanks
Good Job. consider the profession as a full time job ,we need people with your skill set in this industry ,
I can’t thank you enough, this video got me to diagnose and fix my dryer for $12.
Our 20 yr old LG DLE5955W just stopped heating today. Worked fine yesterday. Excellent video.
It was a bad thermostat. New one installed
This is one of the best troubleshooting videos on this type of dryer. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into it. Thank you so much!
May you share with me the part number? I didn't find it in the manual. Thank you
Hi buddy, thanks for your video.
You have a really good teaching style and now a new subscriber. Thank you !
Thank you so much I just fixt my sister's dryer for $17 thank you very much you have now a new subscriber
SUCCESS!! I got it.
And it worked for a few months...til now
This time I will buy both switches. And will put them back on w/o tearing the whole house apart like the first time.
That belt almost traumatized me!
But it's Saturday night and will have to wait til Monday to go buy them.
Thank you for being a friend of the people. Bendiciones
De nada. I opened mine up after this repair anyways because of how much lint was in it. 10+ years worth.
I had the exact same issue, you saved me a ton of time, money and (more importantly) frustration. Like, subscribe, my first born, whatever, it’s yours. Thank you
You can keep your first born, I’ve already got 4. 😁
Great insight and real trouble shooting that saved me hours to identify the root cause for not heating rates 10 out of 10
This is one of the best DIY of anything I've seen.
Thank you! I was able to fix my dryer by watching your video. This saved me so much money!
Thank you so much! I was able to get both parts from Amazon for $10. It is working like a charm. You are awesome sir!! 🤝
I really appreciate the detailed video. You helped my fix my dryer for $11, saving me hundreds of dollars!!!!!
Good to hear!
I Just replaced the thermostat and hi limit switch by watching your video. Thx so much
Teacher at heart !! Clear and concise instructions
Thanks for the video! It was very helpful!!! I ordered the parts from the LG Store at Amazon and replaced both the thermostat and the fuse by following your video.
Literally just saved me 600 dollars. Not all heroes wear capes
_Great video clarity and explanations
_Good presentation and video quality
_You have made us confident in replacing the component in this video
I had this exact problem and did the temporary fix slapping it while frozen and basically am happy as a clam.
This video was AMAZING!!! I fixed my dryer for $11!!! Thank you so much!!!
Would you be willing to share what the parts were or where you got them from? I ordered the wrong ones
Worked. 49.00 for one 15.00 for second. 73.00 with tax rather than 1000.00 for new. Magnetic screwdriver best tip. Minimum bloody scratches on that very sharp vent hole edge.
Where did you buy them?
DUUUUDE, u just saved me hours! Thank u so much, im replacing both
TIL about the service manual! Thanks, hoping that this will help me diagnose the low heat issue with my gas dryer.
Thank you so much! We followed your directions, and my dryer is all fixed! The only issue was my husband had one heck of a time getting his big hand in that small space, but he got it done. Saved us a lot of money.
Yeah it’s not much room but better than tearing the whole unit all apart.
@@TheVintageEngineer It sure was. So happy it wasn't the heating element! Such a satisfying feeling to have fixed it ourselves.
Yours has an actual button? On an electric one? I’ve only seen them built in on gas ones.
Dude you are a teacher at heart ❤️!!
Awesome video. I did everything that you were talking about it in the video and fixed. Thanks for sharing.
Incredible! You deserve a prize, sir!
most amazing explanation and camera work. Thanks!
Just had my dryer go bad I'm going to check the sensor your talking about I also have an LG smart dryer
The washer died years ago they were a set. I like the old stuff better so much more reliable
Thorough and great detail. Thanks, Anthony. You the best!
Instant Follow!! Amazing work now I need a multimeter video, cause when I was younger I would just go dad what do I set this on.
Excellent video. Probably saved a couple hundred on a repair visit. Thanks thanks thanks!
Thanks for your video. If I had not seen it first I would have ended up taking the whole thing apart.
You check the new parts? Wondering if you might have got some bad replacements.
You comfortable working with the unit on with wires being live?
great video - learned a quick way to change fuse and thermostat.
This is GREAT and saved my sanity. Super easy and I spent 10$ versus the tech call of 75$
Thank you so much for thoroughly explaining everything.
How Were you guys able to get the top screws out without a drill?
