That was lovely to watch. It’s so nice to see someone cook in their own kitchen and not a studio kitchen which might explain why he’s so relaxed and comfortable.
Oh man, it's my dude Kiefer Sutherland. One of my all-time favorite actor's from Stand By Me, Lost Boys, Young Guns etc. It's great to see you brother. Stay blessed!!!
I really hope he'll continue this as a series, its nice to get a peek inside as well as the honest too goodness down home cooking. Best part is he could even do some where he's learning some of these as he goes along. Either way its a pleasant treat.
Mr.Sutherland, I'm almost certain you won't see this, and IF you do, you may not care, but I like you so much,I just had to offer my two cents. You put the remaining juice or grease from roaster into the sink and ran water.A better idea is to buy a grease keeper can or save can from coffee or veges, etc. Pour grease to cool for later disposing into trash.Reason; grease will build up causing a nasty stopped up plumbing. She wanted to show people that it could be used for so much more than making popcorn and other basic tasks. She showed how to make the fanciest gourmet foods that no one would have ever thought could come from a microwave (at that time.) She even showed how to make homemade sponge toffee! A simple, unpretentious, very tasty meal for family and friends. I love the rosemary and garlic ‘stuffing ‘. Great touch: and intrigued by the ‘stuffing ‘ served as a side dish, I’ve not seen that before, although I’m sure it’s a regular practice in some places and the only option when the bird’s chest cavity is filled with all that delicious rosemary and garlic. Thank you very much for sharing your recipe 🌻
Kiefer I’m loving your videos, you should have used the pan drippings in your stuffing. You can roast the giblets in the pan with the chicken and give to your dog.
I really like, that he doesn't brag or show off. Just a man preparing dinner, knowing what to. As always 😉 just an suggestion: you can also put a cut lemon inside the chicken, goes perfect to the other spices. And the side dish is similar to a German dumpling recepie: chopped bread, milk, egg, salt and pepper.
@@tombryan1 no. Exactly the opposite. I admire that he's cool and down to earth. Doesn't need 20 people, running around. He's just himself. Why shouldn't he do a video like anybody else does? He found a new thing that excites him and shares it. And I love it.
Just going to reply to the washing chicken argument here, or the infecting everything he touched, because your post will get a lot more attention. Only 10-15% of chickens have bacteria that can cause us harm. Thankfully, much like E-coli, the origins and farming standards are a lot higher than when a lot of us were spring chickens, sorry for the pun! I've been food poisoned a couple of times (from restaurants and high end 5 star hotels), but in the home-place, if you know where your meat has come from, or minced it yourself etc, no one needs to worry when cooking for themselves in their own home, with produce they have bought. No one is going to buy a dodgy chicken from some weird place and eat it, unless….
Never give dogs cooked chicken, the bones are dangerous, always raw, how do you think they eat it in the wild? That dog is a heeler and has wild dog in it, Dingo, feed it raw food.

Loving your channel. I've recently got into cooking after being timid of it for a long time. My mom was a fantastic cook and I think I was worried I wouldn't measure up to her level. But after she passed away I found a large drawer filled with tons of her recipes that were all personalized, dated, and addressed to me. One said "Charlene's favorite cookies, 1979". Love this! here's my suggestion.. from Canada.. you can poach those gizzards in a small pot with a little water, until they are cooked... let cool completely, my dear, and feed that to your puppy.. she will LOVE that. OR you can add to your stuffing..
I was going to suggest that too! You can poach the heart and the gizzard (I usually throw out the liver). Some people add minced giblets to their gravy, but I always give it to them to dogs as treats. Congratulations Keifer, on your new K9 sous chef!
Brigitte Holder-Francis I always roast chickens and turkeys upside down for half the cooking time then turnover to brown the breast. Absolutely the best.
It is great to see a non-professional chef making cooking videos. It shows how things would go in a typical person's kitchen. There is no polish or fluff, and I LOVE that. Very unexpected from Kiefer, but very enjoyable!!
Sir....your kitchen is to die for! ❤️ From the stove, to your see through cupboards, to the color scheme and design! Just a fabulous kitchen! Chicken & stuffing is a no fail dinner....thanks for posting it.
That stuffing had to be bland. Here's my recipe: Celery and onions sauteed in (1) stick of butter, mix this into a loaf of keto bread broken up into bite size pieces, add (2) eggs, a little milk or chicken broth, poultry seasoning, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well with hands and stuff the chicken - the juice from the chicken gives it another layer of flavoring.
I thought the same thing! Especially when it’s a rich movie star cooking 😂 I just love Kiefer because he’s such down to earth guy and doesn’t have a pretentious attitude like a lot of other people in his line of work do

Brigitte Holder-Francis cavity up is neck hole down?
Random Ness interesting. I do that with beer can chicken on the grill, but I never thought about doing the same in the oven.
Thank you...
What a super cozy kitchen and comfort food with your sweet voice, who could ask for more?! 😉🍗💖
Hi Kiefer
You should use the giblets as a base for your gravy, just a tip, not criticism.😊
It is great to see a non-professional chef making cooking videos. It shows how things would go in a typical person's kitchen. There is no polish or fluff, and I LOVE that. Very unexpected from Kiefer, but very enjoyable!!
Kiefer my friend, you're touching everything with those chicken hands. Get some lysol wipes! Love ya buddy, big fan. Love your heeler, I have one too.
I haven't read that he or his family has been hospitalized with Salmonella or other food borne poisonings. Perhaps you can relax now.
@@lindeezz Soo calm right now, thanks!
Just wanted to say crazy moon was a beautiful movie. Thanks
You know how to cook unlike some people I know. Also I loved your part in the series 24, I have the entire series on DVD, love your acting.
I recommend the moves " The Lost Boys" and "Young Guns" Really good Kiefer movies.

@@donnadaniel5385 Really good one.
I watched this two years ago and I am watching it again in NOVEMBER 2021.
Love YOU Kiefer❤️
One thing jack bauer is not. CHICKEN!
Sir....your kitchen is to die for! ❤️
From the stove, to your see through cupboards, to the color scheme and design!
Just a fabulous kitchen!
Chicken & stuffing is a no fail dinner....thanks for posting it.
Why not incorporate the pan drippings from the chicken into the stuffing??? More flavor..
That voice.. I can listen to you sing anything talk about anything ... all day.
. Young Guns 1 and 2 My Faves.. Luv You Doc
You can tell a honest to goodness true home cook because the oven mits don't match . . .
I thought the same thing! Especially when it’s a rich movie star cooking 😂 I just love Kiefer because he’s such down to earth guy and doesn’t have a pretentious attitude like a lot of other people in his line of work do
Nice to see someone of your caliber able to cook. Your kitchen is beautiful by the way. Thanks
