Excellent work guys. I grew up fishing farm ponds for bucketmouths and learned that pretty good..."lakes" are different. Past few years I've been focusing on saltwater fishing. Found a good deal on a 24' pontoon with a 125hp 2 stroke on lake hickory and here we are. This RIVER has tested me, totally different environment. Thanks for showing us how to do it, I'm watching closely 😎. Live to fish, fish to live
Awesome! I troll similar rigs on Buggs Island but you definitely have a better quality of fish! What are times you like using the I-Pilot better than the big motor? Definitely subscribing!
I usually start with the trolling motor when I’m trolling up to around 1.7 or so. Much more than that it eats the batteries too fast lol so I will use the big motor with trolling plate. I can still get down to 1 mph with the trolling plate on the big motor. Sometimes even at 1.5 or less I’ll use the big motor, if I’m not getting bit in the trolling motor I believe the sound of the motor can trigger bites on some occasions, no proof lol just start trying different things when it’s slow
Awesome day! Nice set up as well. Gotta ask...you afraid of getting your hands fishy? I thought you were gonna lose the big one due to lippin' him with that towel! lol
In fact I struggle with poor circulation in my arms a lot and my hands go numb. I’ve dropped a lot of fish in the boat so the rag helps me with grip sometimes when I can’t feel my fingers lol
Sure looks like a fun day of catching! New to this part of the country and fishing so these help me get acclimated. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome day guys !!
Thank yall very much for your information and tips !
I'll definitely be putting it to work!!!
Thanks For Watching!

How deep does it get when trolling at 1.5mph with mini mack?
+K Tee
At 1.5 a rule of thumb for the mini is 15ft at 90ft back, 20ft at 120ft back, 25 ft at 150ft back
Thats without lead core line correct??
@@triplehranch2235 Correct, thats with 20lb mono
Hey David, Do you remember who I am? Next time you plan on coming to Hickory give me a shout. Great videos.
Are you Dennis’s Boy?
@@RelicArms Afraid so LOL
@@derekward6794 that’s cool man it’s been a long time!
@@RelicArms yes it has
How many colors with lead core are you putting out?
2-3 depending on how deep I’m seeing the fish. I try to be just above the fish I’m targeting. We were 20-25 ft deep last week most the time
@@RelicArms thanks great video. Each color is how deep down?
Which section of the lake is that? Never been on Hickory
It’s kinda mid lake near hwy 127
What soft plastics are you using
Those are the captain Mack’s
a-rig swim jigs
Do you take anyone with you ,I would like to ride along
Hey Bobby it’s usually just l me and my boy or a couple buddies of mine. I’ll keep ya in mind though
