Should check out Vinland Saga. If you're looking for a deeper story. It's not all about fighting but the MC is very well written. But what's surprising is the main antagonist is one of the best written characters in ALL of anime.

vinland saga is one of if not my favorite anime so much so that it pushed me to read the manga and man... i was not diapointed
