Only cod I bought in recent times was MW 2019 on release and it was super worth it. Still play it casually with my cousin. Bo4 was my last straw when it came to buying cod yearly
Was playing it yesterday and it’s actually a lot of fun, the movement feels great, the TTK is super fast, the maps flow decently well, OG prestige is back which is hype
The real problem is that it IS the same, it's just that with every new release they take what you loved about the old one and replace it with garbage, so it's just an objectively worse game and everyones tired of it. I'm with ya, I quit playing COD games looong ago

It’s funny, I feel like a lot of people are missing the point that BO6 is based in the gulf war. I think around the late 70’s to early 90’s, I could be wrong tho. The AK74 does help narrow it down because it was produced in 1974, but yeah a lot of people seem to be mixing up that BO6 is black ops gulf war.

I hate Omni movement for one reason. All they did was remove the angle limiter for movement. So basically, all they did was highlight about 3 lines of code and the press delete. They never "added" anything.
I mean bo6 does seem to be bring in better overall gameplay than other cods with the newer movement as it really does feel different from the other cods with the dives in all directions Also the campaign probably gonna be solid since Cold War was solid for that. Whatever it is I’ll probably check it out since it’s on game pass so no extra cost on my end

Cold War was return to form in some ways, and the omnimovement, I think is a welcome mechanic. In my experience with the beta so far, it keeps the pace up, and I find it to be more fun because of it.
If you do ever decide to buy the new bo6, I think that the skyline map is the new war zone map because if you look out on the edges of the map, there are towns and petrol stations that are surprisingly realistic and not blurred out.
To be fair, the Omni Movement is really fun. I played in the beta and had a blast. Idk I like this game more than the last one I played which was the new MW2
Tbh I have heard the stories about how great the old cod games were but I don't know the feeling personally since I only started playing during the end of Cold War's life cycle. I never experienced those older games (except for the 2009 MW2 campaign via MW2 Campaign Remastered). So i don't have the nostalgia most people have. Therefore my only major complaint is (of course) SBMM. I get like 2-3 great games in between 6-8 rather poor ones more often that not. Just feel like SBMM is just messing with me at this point. But beyond that and the fact that Activision has been trying to become the next EA when it comes to corporate greed in the video game industry...
I don’t care what anyone says, black ops 6 is gonna be lit as fuck. The zombies is gonna be absolutely fucking spectacular, all of the mastery camo’s for multiplayer/zombies/warzone look absolutely amazing and dark matter is back which is a plus along with og prestige & prestige master, gobblegums and idc what anyone else thinks but the omnimovement is awesome. It’s gonna shine as bright as the sun in zombies when you’re training a giant horde and you need to turn around to kill some of them, you’re gonna be able to run backwards while still shooting at the zombies that are chasing you which is gonna be an amazing mechanic for zombies. Any zombies player knows how hard it is/can be too turn around in high rounds to pick a few zombies off the horde, it’s really hard when you can’t run backwards but now we can which is gonna be fuckin amazing. I can’t wait to run around with the jet gun/beam smasher/raygun/wander waffe and turn around while still running in high rounds to pick a few zombies off, just cannot wait. Idc if they kept things from Cold War bc I thoroughly enjoyed Cold War and its zombies, I’m excited to see the new things they are gonna add to BO6.

Its actually been pretty fun so far. At the very beginning we were all just seeing how we move and just having fun, then the sweats and rats appeared that made it a little less fun but its manageable.

you can swap the mapping to be slide only if you don't want to dive. or you can make dive on tap and slide on hold

Overall, I'm basically the kid in a museum...seeing all games that have released(Had Ps2 and 3 for several years.) And slowly walking through them all,regardless of all the BS.

And this is why these games never change; They add ONE new feature and keep the rest the same, and everyone falls all over themselves to get the same game they bought six months ago.
Everyone is tripping because the game FINALLY innovated. And since everyone will logically play it off of game pass, what’s the problem 😆

Tbf, that’s like playing god of war and not expecting to kill gods. Or playing a racing game and get bored because all you do is race. What more do people expect from a fps game?

It’s hilarious to me as an Australian when an American complains about a $70 price tag. We’re going to have to pay $110, because despite games being sold digitally, they’re the same price as the physical copies that include the price of shipping. Despite the internet completely negating that need.

Its actually been pretty fun so far. At the very beginning we were all just seeing how we move and just having fun, then the sweats and rats appeared that made it a little less fun but its manageable.
