Had a black heart spawn on my nightmare playthrough where it usually takes 2 c4 to kill a normal plague heart .
the black heart took about 5 c4 6 pipe bombs 3 molotovs and about 20 5.56 bullets as well as about 10 charged heavy melee attacks to kill.
All the while it passively drained my hp and kept calling in more and more zombies. was quite the nightmare :D

I'm sad i missed this live. On day 11 Lethal i had a curveball called The Black Heart and I still have not destroyed it. It's monstrously strong and brings armies of Zombies down on you with a HUGE area of influence. Beyond Lethal difficulty for sure!
Love seeing you play SOD2. You’re the main reason I got into it in the first place. Bad luck on the gun store though… I almost always find a crossbow there

It seems that if you can get Curveballs that make Juggernauts extra dangerous, you ought not feel too bad over getting a Curveball that drops extra weapons and suppressors.
Personally. I love that there are SO many different items in the game. More is better when it comes to rng looting in an open world. More realism that way imo

State of Decay 1 and 2 is basically how a zombie survival is supposed to be. The interactions of the survivors with one another... its like living in the walking dead series.
If I ever survive more then a few days in Lethal it'll be thanks to Brian :D Heck the fact I'm even willing to try is thanks to him!

It’s why he’s one of the best state of decay TH-camrs out there,I don’t care what nobody says.This man is a gem and he’s a former marine,truly a class guy it’s better than watching geeks play who’ve never even shot a 9mil and don’t even go into depth just treat the game like garbage and they think their better than everything.

I think you got extremely lucky with that bullet benefactor drop. I've seen it twice so far, and both times even on Nightmare difficulty I received way less stuff that you got.

Got a black plague heart on my first ever play of the game. I had only destroyed 1 regular PH and it seemed the BPH was at least 2x more difficult. Beyond that, it spawned a TON more zombies in the affected radius.
Black plague heart is actually almost 8x more resistant to damage than the regular. However, it has one weakness that you can discover, for example, fire or melee or bullets. If you attack with that it will be 2x more resistant than normal.
Even though the thought of an all black plagueheart map is terrifying as hell honestly bro I bet you could do it

I feel extremely lucky that I found a crossbow in the first little camp tent I searched right after spawn on my first lethal zone attempt !!
Just started getting back into this game, destroyed my first black plague heart the other day but it was on standard difficulty, still lost a character 😢. If you're just now jumping back into this game and you're hit with that kind of curveball it can really take you off balance. I remember a year ago I had dread zone down to a T...I haven't even tried nightmare difficulty even before all the updates not too sure if I'm a fan of all the micromanaging and curveball. And it always seems like every time I get a curveball thrown at me, other survivors all of a sudden need help like right on time lol
I just started my first run on nightmare, been on dread for a bit but I got to comfortable in dread
I'm new to SOD, but have been playing Fry Cry for years, and they have a similar feel. Crafting/looting/food/etc is better in Far Cry, but the zombie angle is really fun in SOD.
I’m hoping for more story options between community survivors. Beyond the initial blurb of the tutorial pair there isn’t much stories beyond annoyances and disagreements.
@ 40:48 you mention rdr2 and bigger games. Those are the juggernauts of the video game world. State of decay 2 is highlighting what they are up against. Huge infections companies taking over everything.

Hey there Brian! I have just discovered this awesome game thanks to you and I'm trying Dread and I'm loving it. Can you share somehow your keyboard key bindings (specially like grab, throw and weapon/consumables switching)? I'm still playing around trying to find the most suitable set for me. Cheers and congrats on your awesome channel and community!
Hey I’m glad your enjoying the game but as for my key-binds I have a Naga mouse with the 13 buttons on the side panel and I use the top 3 buttons for grab and throw, weapon swap, and zoom with scopes
How many fresh starts have you done total? Lol. Genuinely curious. Also, this game is much more difficult now, there’s so much micromanagement involved, after day 2-3 even I feel like the plague hearts/infestations/hordes easily overrun you unless you immediately go at them. Seemingly forcing you to have to play a certain way…the idea of playing at a certain pace is gone now, especially adding curveballs, and this is only on like dread/nightmare difficulty. I can’t even imagine lethal, it just seems like the game requires too much work to even know what you’re trying to enjoy at that point.
You can play at a pretty slow pace on nightmare as long as you never wake up plague hearts.
No More Room In Hell (NMRIH) will be an absolute delight to play if you like realistic zombie survival games. The game is as real as it can get. NMRIH 2 is planned to release soon.

View from Germany. You pay for Apartments 3-4 Rooms like 450000 - 600000€ in smaller Towns. Houses you start by 500000€.

Always enjoy these playthroughs - surprised you got a curveball so early. Was that a recent change? I was playing it from day 1 after it was officially released and I was under the impression it was still 5 in game days. I'd love if they changed it as long term players generally aren't going to want to wait that long for the first curveball when they're usually almost done with a community/playthrough by day 5.

You are 100% right, it is Definitely harder lmao. I haven't played the game (prior to last week) since like last year. So coming back and seeing Lethal Zone was WILD lmao. Honestly i entirely blame the reason State of decay not being well known on Xbox. any one that I've met thats played on the Xbox has played it or knows of it. but not a lot of people know much about it because it originally launched exclusively to Xbox. and on top of that they hardly advertise for it.

Do all maps have a repeater crossbow ? Figured I’d ask a SOD2 veteran.
You can’t loot it from any map you either get it from the echo lab trader or from the crossbow killer mission which both can show up on any map.

You cannot compare SOD to scum and dayz. SOD has the most basic survival in a game. Scum has vitimins need to pee eat certain foods for poisoning. Dayz has sick graphics, and there's so much you can do.

days gone vs. state of decay...what do you guys think?
They're completely different games. SoD2 is more about base building and has some minor customization with different characters you can play. Days Gone is an AMAZING story, but it takes a lot of time, and is single player only.
