You probably already know this by now but yes, those early bundles for the pipe weapons DO give you ammo. Just not a lot of it. 15 7.62 for the pipe rifle choice. I think its 30 for pipe machine gun. Ammo is actually kinda abundant, at least in my save. I'm also on default loot abundance.
Yes ammo Does feel easier to come by. I’m on day 6 playing coop w my buddy and I have 300 7.62 and over 1k shotgun shells

I did see with others, the gun bundles do give you ammo. But in the case of the pipe machine gun, it's just enough for one full magazine.

The tutorial gun bundles do have ammo with the gun I picked the shotgun and got 15 ammo as well
This update feels like a mod rather then an actually update.

You get 15 rounds with either of the 7.62 pipe weapon rewards for that first quest. I haven't seen the others.

As with most modern 7days updates; this just makes me yearn for the days of A15/A16. Well, at least the game SHOULD be stable so modders can fix their game into something playable.

The Learning Elixir would work on the chalenges XP? Would be worth to save then and redeen all together with some learning elixir?
There is also a cool down on same poi quests. Found that out the hard way. Its only about an hour or two in game time.

15:00 I think it does give you some ammo for you pipe weapon. Machine gun 100% imo

I've done that starting quest for 1.0 a couple of times now. So far not a single zombie spawns after I've dug up the buried supplies.
Do you generally prefer bludgeon weapons? I just found the spear more effective with the distance you can get.

I am 100% sure that all of the armour will get a rebalance swiftly. Preacher gloves give 50% damage buff, primitive armour carries literally all the way through (excluding injuries), and much of it is very easy to get early on. Like I'm on like day 21 wearing preacher gloves and tier 5 prim armour and having a great time on Nomad with a club.
Also, stability is FUKKED as far as I can tell, do be careful lol. Stuff still works, but it's very sketchy for no reason.
Nice you got the Exact build as me. (RTX 3070/Ryzen 5 5600x) gonna need to lower the settings a bit because performance on ultra is horrendous.

Many of the things I've seen so far have been large things I've been hoping for, I'm excited to finally return to the wastes and kill some zeds.

The "Challenges" menu look like the old "Journey Steps" from Conan Exiles
Usually I don't give a damn about cosmetics changes, but here they made some really strange ones... All zombies the same pale colour - "realism"? Who thought that was a good idea? The different sound effects for shifting items around is really what we were all hoping for...
To be fair, in most games I turn the gore settings down after a few hours of playing, because it looks cool first but gets boring over time. Here they brought that to a new level. The same over the top splatter at nearly every kill gets old really fast, the long after death sound effects are confusing and actually annoying.
to be fair, it looks to be just on head pops that the sound plays. whether or not they make every kill animation be a head pop if you hit it is to be determined
Well, it's an important game play mechanic - a critical hit against the head kills instantly. On higher difficulties that's how you kill about half of them, because you would have to hit them a lot without crit to deplete the many hit points. So you get that extremely often.
I think there should be a "simple" animation (similar to what it used to be) and a "spectacular" one, which triggers only sometimes. They could make it configurable in the settings (Gore animations - always, frequently, rare, never), so players can set it as they like.

Are the Alpha 16's still available? If so, you should go back to a late Alpha 16 version, and compare it with 1.0, lol.

Ah. I had to activate the Steam properties beta experimental 1.0 build.
They did something to the ground and fucked up digging lol. I got a random floating un-minable piece of glitchy land while I was digging a foundation for my base
You get ammp with the pipe weapons for the quest reward but very little. I thik I got 7x 7.62
can you do a best levleing build or somethin i always have a hard time figuring out how to best build for early game constantly feeling weak and dieing

Somehow he simultaneously is the best advertisment, and hater for this game.
The fact this game is STILL CPU bound is disappointing. They could have offloaded so much to the GPU cores given that the game isn't that heavy on the graphics they could have used the GPU cores for the AI pathing calculations too rather than keeping nearly everything on the CPU other than the shite graphics.
They could have optimized pathing by having what I would call "Hotpaths", which would be pre-loaded with every POI. When a zombie wants to path from one room to the next, which is incredibly often, they take the Hotpath, which would be the shortest path between rooms. Something like that would help.
I don't think the GPU could be used for AI pathing since branching computation is the CPU's specialty. The GPU is better for tons of parallelized calculations that don't rely on each other.

Glock found a stun baton on day one so they must have changed that because they weren't showing up like that before. Capp is playing wasteland warrior and he found a blue wood club on day one. Looks like weapons will be showing up more often in loot since you're not getting them as rewards now?
You found a hunting knife on day one - that's pretty rare before to even find any.
They need too just add another skill tree for the universal perks so they can finally balance builds that aren't just strength/fortitude every play through. Thats what my mods are for i guess
I'm not 100% sure because I've only ever heard the Money talks part but the "money talks, bullshit walks" probably means some thing a long the lines of "if you aren't going to buy anything gtfo" Like, if you are just here to bullshit/not do anything/not buy anything, get out.

It definitely seems lower. Usually you run into a zombie every 100 meters or so. I haven't played "1.0", yet, so I don't actually know.

I want to ask how old you are and what parts are in your computer. I have Ryzen 9 5900x 12 core and 24 threads and Asus rog strix 2080s oc and I'm buying an asus rtx 4070
OK so... you can craft legendary gear, which is a 180 from before because you could only get them through looting/buying/quest rewards. However, I'll argue it's pretty much the same because while you can craft them, you need legendary gear parts... well, how do you get those? So, like I said, It's the same but with an extra step. I guess now you can at least craft the gear you want, which is better than getting a legendary axe 6 quest rewards in a row or something similar. Especially now with all the different armor sets.
Do you need 150 fps, i don't think this game looks all that good even at max settings but it needs all the help it can get. It feels odd seeing how long this game has been in development, i was in middle school when they started lol.

You'll have to go into the launch settings for steam and check the version to be "latest experimental" or something like that. A quick Google search should show the brief steps, I just don't remember exactly off the top of my head.

"Money talks, bullshit walks" is a fairly popular saying in at least the US. Simply means, if you don't have money, don't waste their time
Okay but does the US know that that makes 0 sense because typically when "talking" and "walking" are combined in any other saying, the walking is the GOOD thing?
Money should be the one walking because it actually takes an action (walking) vs just bullshit which is not taking an action but simply talking about acting.
@@IzPrebuilt it kind of goes to the saying "walk on" or "step off" as in put up your money or walk away.. when trying to make a deal, generally you don't want the other party to walk away. .. unless they're full of bs
i was pleasantly surprised that my xml file changes are still working. i have enemy health bars turned on and my food and drink meters on the bottom left below my health and stamina. makes it easier to keep track. now i just to find where i can change the skill points gained per level to two and i'll be golden. i noticed it feels better to me, feels less clunky than it did before.

The progress of experimental carry over stable? Or i have to wipe when 1.0 stable release?
it should carry over as every other experiential and stable didn't change a whole lot.. though it has been known to break mods and them have to be changed.. but a vanilla playthrough should be fine unless they make a major change between experimental and stable (which they haven't to my knowledge, but it's always possible) so tldr, you should be fine but nothing is guaranteed until it's out

People seem to hate doing the tutorial quests. How can we make it better? Make them do even more tutorial quests but we’ll call them challenges so players will feel better about doing them. TFP

Do you ever feel like the health of zombies makes the combat feel repetitive? That feels like way too many swings for me, I'd feel like I'd get bored

Imo they shoulda nerfed the quests but not this much. Particularly i think the quests should not reset the pois and that would go a long way to balancing them...anyhow thats just my crap opinion
This game so desperately needs actual NPC's in the world, I know bandits are coming but man we got to wait until 2025 for the story mode and some npc's...

Somehow they made some of the game look better, but now all the zombies look WAY worse. Everything is bright... except the zombies, who all look gray and boring.
So they gave us better looking models, but removed almost all unique customization options over the characters? I hope they add back in more character creation options like there was.
And before anyone tries to hit me with the. "it doesn't matter, it's first person you can't see them". Everyone who likes customization, likes it, because they want their character to look a certain way. It does not have everything to do with actually being able to see your character. You know what they look like. That is what matters. People who think customization is only important if you can see your character throughout the whole game, don't understand rpgs or people who want to create a character. It's about creativity.

go into your files, look for the world, open the biome map in paint and paint over it with one of the biome colours. The biomes are literally a png

They basically increased zombie HP but gave us damage boosts (armor) and a full set of armor from the get go... might as well not have changed anything in that regard.
