Jen- ask for medical supplies at a hospital Bob- car parts from a junk yard Hugh-ammo or gun parts from a store Joel- clear a military base or gather supplies from it
You probably already know this by now but yes, those early bundles for the pipe weapons DO give you ammo. Just not a lot of it. 15 7.62 for the pipe rifle choice. I think its 30 for pipe machine gun. Ammo is actually kinda abundant, at least in my save. I'm also on default loot abundance.
There’s literally a magazine that teaches you how to craft it out of plant fiber. Plus you can go to any house and scrap the curtains on windows, couches, beds etc.
Finally a game that gets physics perfect. I always knew this real world nonsense of hitting an object and it moving away from me felt off. Leave it to Fun Pimps to finally correct that.

This is great...everyone else starts in the game, I really wanted to see all the selections from the beginning. Nice! I also felt like I was floating a bit at the start ... it's a thing. My first dig quest was also in the street - and it turned to dirt. My last regular game one of my first dig quests was in the wasteland, digging with a level 1 stone axe was awesome ...
As with most modern 7days updates; this just makes me yearn for the days of A15/A16. Well, at least the game SHOULD be stable so modders can fix their game into something playable.
I am 100% sure that all of the armour will get a rebalance swiftly. Preacher gloves give 50% damage buff, primitive armour carries literally all the way through (excluding injuries), and much of it is very easy to get early on. Like I'm on like day 21 wearing preacher gloves and tier 5 prim armour and having a great time on Nomad with a club. Also, stability is FUKKED as far as I can tell, do be careful lol. Stuff still works, but it's very sketchy for no reason.
Many of the things I've seen so far have been large things I've been hoping for, I'm excited to finally return to the wastes and kill some zeds. ... What? My first quest will be digging a hole? Damn, aww well. Guess I'm a dwarf now.
hi prebuild, what i do on new playthroughs when it comes to skills is let the game decide for me! i leave my skills till i start looting POIs and the first melee part i get i use that skill tree and same goes for guns
They need too just add another skill tree for the universal perks so they can finally balance builds that aren't just strength/fortitude every play through. Thats what my mods are for i guess
They did something to the ground and fucked up digging lol. I got a random floating un-minable piece of glitchy land while I was digging a foundation for my base
Usually I don't give a damn about cosmetics changes, but here they made some really strange ones... All zombies the same pale colour - "realism"? Who thought that was a good idea? The different sound effects for shifting items around is really what we were all hoping for... To be fair, in most games I turn the gore settings down after a few hours of playing, because it looks cool first but gets boring over time. Here they brought that to a new level. The same over the top splatter at nearly every kill gets old really fast, the long after death sound effects are confusing and actually annoying.

Well, it's an important game play mechanic - a critical hit against the head kills instantly. On higher difficulties that's how you kill about half of them, because you would have to hit them a lot without crit to deplete the many hit points. So you get that extremely often. I think there should be a "simple" animation (similar to what it used to be) and a "spectacular" one, which triggers only sometimes. They could make it configurable in the settings (Gore animations - always, frequently, rare, never), so players can set it as they like.
The sounds made it sound like I was playing Sunkenland at times. I really wished they had utilized those memory allocations of the new sounds, on memory for compute tasks to better optimize things instead. It's their game though, they can do as they please. Just not a route I would of chose, when trying to optimize things. You have to count those cycles. Seems to be a lost art these days.
I'm not 100% sure because I've only ever heard the Money talks part but the "money talks, bullshit walks" probably means some thing a long the lines of "if you aren't going to buy anything gtfo" Like, if you are just here to bullshit/not do anything/not buy anything, get out.
The fact this game is STILL CPU bound is disappointing. They could have offloaded so much to the GPU cores given that the game isn't that heavy on the graphics they could have used the GPU cores for the AI pathing calculations too rather than keeping nearly everything on the CPU other than the shite graphics.
They could have optimized pathing by having what I would call "Hotpaths", which would be pre-loaded with every POI. When a zombie wants to path from one room to the next, which is incredibly often, they take the Hotpath, which would be the shortest path between rooms. Something like that would help. I don't think the GPU could be used for AI pathing since branching computation is the CPU's specialty. The GPU is better for tons of parallelized calculations that don't rely on each other.

Okay but does the US know that that makes 0 sense because typically when "talking" and "walking" are combined in any other saying, the walking is the GOOD thing? Money should be the one walking because it actually takes an action (walking) vs just bullshit which is not taking an action but simply talking about acting.

OK so... you can craft legendary gear, which is a 180 from before because you could only get them through looting/buying/quest rewards. However, I'll argue it's pretty much the same because while you can craft them, you need legendary gear parts... well, how do you get those? So, like I said, It's the same but with an extra step. I guess now you can at least craft the gear you want, which is better than getting a legendary axe 6 quest rewards in a row or something similar. Especially now with all the different armor sets.

Glock found a stun baton on day one so they must have changed that because they weren't showing up like that before. Capp is playing wasteland warrior and he found a blue wood club on day one. Looks like weapons will be showing up more often in loot since you're not getting them as rewards now?

Yes ammo Does feel easier to come by. I’m on day 6 playing coop w my buddy and I have 300 7.62 and over 1k shotgun shells

The biggest change I've noticed is that the light armor perk was swapped to medium armor and now there is NO light armor perk.
The tutorial gun bundles do have ammo with the gun I picked the shotgun and got 15 ammo as well

You get 15 rounds with either of the 7.62 pipe weapon rewards for that first quest. I haven't seen the others.
Nice you got the Exact build as me. (RTX 3070/Ryzen 5 5600x) gonna need to lower the settings a bit because performance on ultra is horrendous.

There is also a cool down on same poi quests. Found that out the hard way. Its only about an hour or two in game time.
I love to max out parkor first, being able to leap onto the roof of a house with ease is really handy for getting away from a horde.

I've done that starting quest for 1.0 a couple of times now. So far not a single zombie spawns after I've dug up the buried supplies.

Do you generally prefer bludgeon weapons? I just found the spear more effective with the distance you can get.
Version 1.0 is quite brighter than 21, you can go in caves and burnt buildings without a headlight.
This update feels like a mod rather then an actually update.

FPS are so much better even on my old PC with Intel i5 750 i got 60 on low and 35-48 on medium.

It definitely seems lower. Usually you run into a zombie every 100 meters or so. I haven't played "1.0", yet, so I don't actually know.
